Effect of Indian Jujube pulp on physico-chemical and sensory characteristics of chicken sausages
Abstract A study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of Indian jujube pulp on the quality attributes of chicken sausages incorporated at 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% level (replacing lean meat) into the formulation of chicken sausages. The proximate, physico-chemical and sensory properties of sausages were analyzed. Among the different proximate and physicochemical parameters, a significant (p<0.05) decrease in pH, emulsion stability, ash content, cooking yield, ether extract as well as crude protein percentage with each subsequent incorporation level was accompanied by a gradual increase in moisture of cooked sausages. However, crude fiber content increased significantly (p<0.05) with increasing level of inclusion. The sausages with 10% level of Indian jujube pulp incorporation had highest (p<0.05) overall acceptability score

Introductory Remarks In language use, it is possible to differentiate between linguistic and metalinguistic activities-on the one hand, people produce utterances, while not devoting any attention to the language or the utterances, and on the other hand, people may orient their attention toward the language or the utterances, evaluate them, think about altering them and occasionally take action on those thoughts. Language planning can be primarily considered the second type of activity. The point of language planning is to bring about changes in language or in linguistic activities. These changes include, for example, the establishment of new terms, the standardization of thus far non-standard grammatical forms, the nomination of a certain variety of language as the official language, or the determination of which languages will be taught in schools. According to Kaplan and Baldauf (1997, p. 3) "language planning is a body of ideas, laws and regulations (language policy), change rules, beliefs, and practices intended to achieve a planned change (or to stop change from happening) in the language use in one or more communities." Until the formation of sociolinguistics in the 1960s, linguists trained in structuralist procedures devoted themselves primarily to "non-planned" changes in language and they rejected interference into matters of language and communication with the slogan of Leave your language alone

Engineering of automated Manufacturing Systems with Mechatronic Objects
Abstract -Engineering of automated manufacturing systems req uires a lot of effort and therefore creates a bottleneck. In this paper we present a methodology of designing the concept of systems based on mechatronic objects. The methodology proposed enables the identification of objects, which take mechatronic aspects into consideration. This means we are able to create a holistic concept design of the mechanics, electrics and electronics and software. The approach of identifying mechatronic objects is novel because the overall blueprint of the system can be optimized across the various disciplines. The methodology is demonstrated based on an example of special machinery systems, whereby the functional evaluation of the concept is discussed throughout the detail-engineering phase
Migration of growth factor-stimulated epithelial and endothelial cells depends on EGFR transactivation by ADAM17
The fibroblast growth factor receptor 2-IIIb (FGFR2b) and the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) are tyrosine kinases that can promote cell migration and proliferation and have important roles in embryonic development and cancer. Here we show that FGF7/FGFR2b-dependent activation of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)/ERK1/2 signalling and cell migration in epithelial cells require stimulation of the membrane-anchored metalloproteinase ADAM17 and release of heparin-binding epidermal growth factor (HB-EGF). Moreover, VEGF-A/VEGFR2-induced migration of human umbilical vein endothelial cells also depends on EGFR/ERK1/2 signalling and shedding of the ADAM17 substrate HB-EGF. The pathway used by the FGF7/FGFR2b signalling axis to stimulate shedding of substrates of ADAM17, including ligands of the EGFR, involves Src, p38 mitogen-activated protein-kinase and PI3K, but does not require the cytoplasmic domain of ADAM17. Based on these findings, ADAM17 emerges as a central component in a triple membrane-spanning pathway between FGFR2b or VEGFR2 and EGFR/ERK1/2 that is required for cell migration in keratinocytes and presumably also in endothelial cells
