The Study on the Influential Factors of Chinese Workers' Rights Realization 1

    No full text
Abstract The aim of this paper is to investigate the degree of Realization of Workers' Rights and Influential Factors of Workers' Rights Realization in China. The survey shows: the overall degree of Chinese workers' rights realization is relatively low. Specifically, the lowest lies in the right of access to vocation and rest. The possibility of workers' being treated fairly when disputing with the employer is low and workers' overall level of payment is low. Vocational training is provided at a poor level and the proportion of the workers who join the housing fund and have maternity insurance is kept low; In all, among the 10 sub-factors that are considered to affect workers' right realization, individual related labor contract factors; employer related factors; government related factors are considered more important than worker related factors and union related factors. These results may be indicated that the way of development of labor relations in China may be different from that in Anglo-American countries. It is likely to reach a mutual cooperation and win-win relationship on the whole-via the ways of employers' self-control and the government's regulation under the concept of harmonious society and harmonious labor relations

ABSTRACT Objectives: To investigate the demographic and socio-cultural properties, as well as the etiological factors in suicide attempters in Turkey. Methodology: A standard questionnaire form was used to collect information on gender, age, education level, employment status, marital status, method and reason of the suicidal attempt, prior suicidal attempts, psychiatric diagnosis, family history of psychiatric disorders and the season. The Implementation Of The 2004 Bank Reforms In Nigeria: A Post Facto Analysis

    No full text
Abstract The praxis of bank reforms by governments of different countries of the world has constituted a common policy benchmark in public financial administration. Adopting a histo-descriptive-method, this paper reflects on the dynamics of the 2004 bank reforms in Nigeria, reviewing in the process, the brief history of the reform, the principles that underscored the reform, its actual implementation and challenges that circumscribed the policy. It explored the initiative during this era in Nigeria from the Nigerian government"s policy of financial sector liberalization and deregulation. The paper argues that though the 2004 bank reform policy had good intentions and achieved minimally its objectives, the entire policy implementation lacked significant implementation outcomes

    Abstract-T h e p e r f o r m a n c e o f s m a I I -v o I u m e Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( M R I ) d e p e n d s on t h e s y s t e m n o i s e determined by noise of a probe and/or of a preamplifier (not by the body noise). Several demonstrations confirmed that, for selected applications, high-TC superconductor MRI receiver coils have superior properties to those of comparable copper coils. W e report on the outstanding performance of modified twin horseshoe Y B C O r f surface probes in a 2 Tesla s c a n n e r operating at 77 K. They were used for MR imaging of spinal cord injuries in rats and for imaging of brain of small animals. The probes were designed with a virtual ground plane, thus reducing the coil-to-ground dielectric losses and making its resonant frequency less sensitive to the body proximity. Each coil was fabricated using large area 500 nm thick double-sided YBaZCu30, films deposited on sapphire r-cut substrates. Designing and cryo-packaging of HTS MRI probes is discussed

Engineering the Software Requirements of Nonprofits -A Service-learning Approach

    No full text
ABSTRACT This paper is a cross-study of service-learning projects executed by student groups in a 10-week course on software engineering. The principal benefits of service-learning are demonstrated by the groups in this setting. The course is structured to support the project activities; timely brainstorming and negotiation roleplay exercises help the teams arrive at pragmatic baselines with their clients. The study highlights overlaps in the software requirements of nonprofits. The paper apprises the reader of some common mistakes committed by the various stakeholders, some of which can eventually undermine the project's mission
