Management Science Letters Investigating how high school deaf students spend their leisure time
This paper presents an investigation on deaf students' interests in spending their leisure times. We design a questionnaire and distribute among all deaf students who are enrolled in high schools in two provinces of Iran. The questionnaire consists of three parts, in the first part, we ask female and male deaf students about their interests in various entertainment activities in Likert scale. In terms of gender, we find out that walking inside or outside house is number one favorite exercise for female students while male students mostly prefer to walk on the streets. Although male students prefer to go biking or running activities, female students prefer to go for picnic or similar activities. This could be due to limitations on female for running or biking inside cities. While going to picnic with members of family or friends is the third popular activity for male students, stretching exercises is third most popular activity among female students. Breathing exercise is the fourth most popular activity among both male and female students. The second part of the survey is associated with the barriers for having no exercise among deaf students. According to our survey, while lack of good attention from public and ordinary people on exercising deaf students is believed to be number one barrier among male students, female students blame lack of transportation facilities as the most important barrier. However, both female and male students believe these two items are the most important factors preventing them to exercise. Lack of awareness for exercising deaf students and lack of good recreational facilities are the third most important barriers among male and female students

Effect of Superconducting Fault Current Limiters on Successful Interruption of Circuit Breakers
Abstract. The penetration of DG systems in distribution systems can result in the increase of the short circuit current level. The application of the fault current limiter (FCL) would not only decrease the stress on network devices, but also can offer a connection to improve the reliability of the power system. There are various types of FCLs, which are made of different superconducting materials and have different designs. There are several kinds of SFCLs, which can be classified in three types such as the resistive type, the inductive type and bridge type SFCL. In this paper, the transient recovery voltage (TRV) analysis, based on the electromagnetic transient program (EMTP), is used to investigate the behavior of the each three types SFCL installed in an electrical distribution grid. Simulation results show that the TRV can be damped in the presence of the resistive and bridge type SFCL during fault clearing period

ABSTRACT Aspergillus was first catalogued in 1729 by the Italian priest and biologist Pier Antonio Micheli. Viewing the fungi under a microscope, Micheli was reminded of the shape of an aspergillum (holy water sprinkler), from Latin spargere (to sprinkle), and named the genus accordingly. Aspergillus is a type of mould which is found everywhere in the air and soil worldwide, especially in autum and winter in northern hemisphere. Only a few of these types of moulds can cause illness in human, animals. Although Aspergillus flavus is the second leading cause of both invasive and non-invasive aspergillosis, aspergillomas have rarely been associated with this species, the vast majority of cases being due to Aspergillus fumigatus. Here we describe a rare case report of pulmonary aspergilloma without any predisposing factors caused by Aspergillus flavus
Study of Heating Time of test model and Application in Low Density Wind Tunnel Using Infrared Thermography
Abstract The relation between the model heating time and constant heat transfer rate assumption is analyzed. The study indicates that the shorter is the model heating time, the better is constant heat transfer rate approximation. The typical test results obtained with infrared thermographic technique on the hypersonic winged vehicle as well as heating effect on the flat plate model caused by plume flow are presented

Activity and vulnerability: what family arrangements are at risk?
ABSTRACT The purpose of this article is to compare different family models according to the typology proposed by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, or National Census Bureau), to verify whether families headed by women really represent the most vulnerable or "at-risk" family arrangement. The latter is the commonsense notion that legitimizes the framework of feminization of poverty, in vogue in the last two decades and with considerable impact on the design of anti-poverty social policies. The current empirical study disaggregates the employment data (employment rate, mean wages, workweek) not only by gender (identifying differences between men and women), but also breaking down the data for women, comparing the situation of women heads-of-families versus wives. In terms of women's full participation in the work market, the effect of conjugality is even more harmful than motherhood (presence of children). Key words: gender and work market; feminization of poverty; gender inequalities Much is spoken of the enormous vulnerability of families with children, notably those headed by lone mothers (i.e. with no spouse). Incontestably, Brazil lacks permanent, universal family-support policies and, therefore, much of what could be de-commodified through public policies to compensate families properly for their (i.e. the women's) contribution is not. As a result, families themselves bear all such costs privately. However, given this enormous vacuum in terms of family-friendly policies, the question is: is the greatest onus borne by families headed by lone women? Which family arrangements are rendered most precarious by the absence of a social protection system to provide security, reduce vulnerability and promote equity? The labour market and the nature and scope of the social protection system are two factors that explain the greater or lesser degree of social vulnerability, and are thus intricately related to the levels of poverty and inequality observed in a society. Below, it will be seen how they operate on gender inequalities. It is well known that, in Brazil, not only has the schooling gap between the sexes been reversed in favour of women at all levels of schooling since the mid-80
dissociative Experiences are Associated with Obsessive-Compulsive Symptoms in a Non-clinical Sample: A latent Profile Analysis disosiyatif Yaşantılar Klinik Olmayan Örneklemde Obsesif-Kompulsif Belirtilerle İlişkilidir: Gizil Profil Analiziyle Bir İncelem
ABS TRACT introduction: There has been a burgeoning literature considering the significant associations between obsessive-compulsive symptoms and dissociative experiences. In this study, the relationsips between dissociative symtomotology and dimensions of obsessive-compulsive symptoms were examined in homogeneous sub-groups obtained with latent class algorithm in an undergraduate Turkish sample. Met hod: Latent profile analysis, a recently developed classification method based on latent class analysis, was applied to the Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES) item-response data from 2976 undergraduates. Differences in severity of obsessivecompulsive symptoms, anxiety and depression across groups were evaluated by running multinomial logistic regression analyses. Associations between latent class probabilities and psychological variables in terms of obsessive-compulsive subtypes, anxiety, and depression were assessed by computing Pearson's productmoment correlation coefficients. Re sults: The findings of the latent profile analysis supported further evidence for discontinuity model of dissociative experiences. The analysis empirically justified the distinction among three sub-groups based on the DES items. A marked proportion of the sample (42%) was assigned to the high dissociative class. In the further analyses, all sub-types of obsessive-compulsive symptoms significantly differed across latent classes. Regarding the relationships between obsessivecompulsive symptoms and dissociative symptomatology, low dissociation appeared to be a buffering factor dealing with obsessive-compulsive symptoms; whereas high dissociation appeared to be significantly associated with high levels of obsessivecompulsive symptoms. Conc lu si on: It is concluded that the concept of dissociation can be best understood in a typological approach that dissociative symptomatology not only exacerbates obsessive-compulsive symptoms but also serves as an adaptive coping mechanism. Hydrogen-Bonded Networks Based on Cobalt(II), Nickel(II), and Zinc(II) Complexes of N,N'-Diethylurea
N,N'-diethylurea (DEU) was employed as a ligand to form the octahedral complexes [M(DEU) 2+ cations and counterions self-assemble to form hydrogen-bonded 2D architectures in 2-4 that conform to the kgd (kagome dual) network, and a 3D hydrogen-bonded rtl (rutile) network in 1. The nature of the resulting supramolecular structures is influenced by the nature of the counter-ion. The complexes were also characterized by vibrational spectroscopy (IR)
