THE INTRODUCTION OF COMPUTER LESSONS IN COURSE OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES, ANTENNAS AND TRANSMISSION LINES
Abstract A conventional concept in courses of electromagnetic field theory largely leans on the frequency-domain description of pertaining phenomena. Since the electromagnetic (EM) field does evolve in space-time, the latter description can lead to misleading notions about a physical EM field behavior. For this reason, the education of EM field specialists should be focused mainly on the space-time domain. In this paper, examples of basic EM phenomena as prepared in the COMSOL Multiphysics for teaching in the Department of Radio Electronics are presented
Algorithm for computer aided design curve shape form generation of knitting patterns
Abstract -The knitting industry CAD/CAM system's development needs a solution of some problems related to the computer representation of the designed objects. One of them is a generation of curve shape form knitting pattern and its transformation to knitting rows and stitches. This is an important problem for the FF knitting method because the knitted product's shape must be the same as the pattern's one. This paper suggests an algorithm for curve forms knitting patterns generation and its transformation to knitting rows and stitches. The algorithm's idea is to use the stitch size and geometry, applying the Bezier and B-spline methods. The proposed algorithm has been realized as an application, implemented with MS Visual C++ and can be used in knitting industry CAD/CAM systems
Challenges to Analysis of Ancestral Inference Using Mitochondrial DNA Hypervariable Region 1 SNP Typing
Abstract Current analyses of mtDNA with respect to Hispanics/Latinos and persons of African descent are underrepresented and researchers continue to lump them into monomorphic groups. Africans possess the most genetic diversity, thus it is a misnomer to continue delimiting "Africans" or "Blacks" simply as haplogroup L from sub-Saharan Africa, when North Africa (supra-Saharan Africa) is very much a part of the African genetic continuum. It has been established that New World Hispanics/Latinos generally represent persons with a combination of indigenous American and European ancestry or African, indigenous American and European ancestry. The latter is also true for many African Americans. Africans represent all known haplogroups and non-African populations are a subset of genotypes and haplogroups found naturally occurring on the African continent. We tested the mtDNA hypervariable region 1 of an Hispanic/Latino male of African descent and demonstrated via current genomic methods and a review of the recent scientific literature that haplogroup L2a is not restricted to sub-Saharan Africa and when found in supraSaharan Africa is not present only due to chattel slavery or recent population movements, as is usually reported. We posit that trade across the Sahara in enslaved persons from other parts of Africa may account for some of the North African L2a signatures, however, natural selection and the fact that autochthonous Africans have been present on the African continent longer can account for greater African genetic diversity. Further testing of Hispanics/Latinos and Africans will greatly add to our knowledge of human genetic diversity and how it relates to human evolution, disease resistance, disease susceptibility and drug response
NTHAS7: The Seventh Korea-Japan Symposium on Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics and Safety Paper Number N7P0028 NUMERICAL STUDY ON SODIUM DYNAMICS NEAR REACTION SURFACE IN COUNTERFLOW OF SODIUM AND WATER VAPOR
ABSTRACT Sodium water reaction (SWR) is a design basis accident of a sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR). When a heat transfer tube fails, highly pressurized water or water vapor will leak into liquid sodium resulting in a chemical reaction between sodium and water or water vapor. In the previous works, the mechanism of the SWR was researched on surface reaction and gas phase reaction. In gas phase reaction, the mechanism of the SWR especially at the reaction surface is complicated and has not been fully understood. The authors have developed a numerical code in which the chemical reaction model of sodium and water vapor is coupled with thermal-hydraulics. A SWR experiment of a counter-flow diffusion flame (in the gas phase) has also been carried out. In the present paper, a numerical analysis of sodium dynamics near the reaction surface has been carried out based on the experimental result. It will be concluded that some of gas-phase sodium will absorb on aerosols generated in the SWR resulting in an exponentially decrease of gasphase sodium concentration in the experiment

ASSESSMENT AFTER NADPULPARNOGO OF DENTIN APPLICATION DESIGNED MULTICOMPONENT THERAPEUTIC PAST
Stavropol State Medical University, Stavropol, e-mail: [email protected] Restoration of the structure of the amended nadpulparnogo dentin and pulp functions warns the development of complications such as pulpitis and periodontitis, often resulting in immediate and distant in time. Reduce occurrence of these complications contributes to the timely and effective treatment of deep caries and acute focal pulpit. In dental practice, a lot of medical gasket materials, both domestic and foreign manufacturers, but the use of these materials is limited. This is due to incomplete information about the properties, mechanisms of infl uence on the tissue components of dentin and pulp of the methodological features of the application of certain medicinal pastes. Therefore, the authors attempted to create a new search cushioning possessing pluripotent properties for the prevention of complications of the caries process. This paper presents the results of morphological, functional and structural changes in the dentin and pulp nadpulparnom using multicomponent pastes for the treatment of deep caries and acute focal pulpit. The experiment included 13 teeth: 5 canines, premolars and molars 8 (8 mongrel dogs aged 2 to 6 years). It is established that the use of the developed polikomponentonoy paste the dynamics of reparative dentinogeneza accelerated. In the pulp occurred relief of the infl ammatory reaction with subsequent normalization of its key components, and expressed the activation function dentinogeneticheskoy
Roundabout's Impact on Nearby Businesses
Abstract The objective of this study is to determine if installation of roundabouts in a business area or on business corridors can be good for the businesses as well as improve the traffic flow in that area. This objective is achieved by emphasizing on roundabouts located in Kansas cities, particularly Topeka, Kansas. The study concentrates on conducting survey of businesses around the roundabout corridors in different places in the US including Topeka (Kansas), Junction City (Kansas), Newton (Kansas), and Carmel (Indiana). The survey results indicated a positive impact of roundabouts on businesses and traffic movement. Further, as there is no before and after corridor data available for making definite conclusions, a business corridor in Topeka, Kansas is simulated using both SIDRA and VISSIM software to evaluate the impacts of converting several traditional intersections in the corridor to roundabouts. The results from the simulation tasks have showed substantial reductions in vehicle delay and queuing for most of the traffic movements. Therefore, it was concluded that roundabouts on businesses corridor have a positive impact on traffic flows and business
INDUCED CHARGE ELECTRO-OSMOSIS: THEORY AND MICROFLUIDIC APPLICATIONS
Summary Induced-charge electro-osmosis (ICEO) involves the nonlinear electro-osmotic slip flow caused by an applied field acting on ionic charge induced around a conducting body or surface, wherein a rectification allows steady microfluidic flows to be driven using AC fields. Breaking the symmetry of the surface or field allows steady flows to be driven parallel or perpendicular to the applied AC field, suggesting a number of devices and strategies for microfluidic mixing, pumping, and manipulation
