    Get PDF
This study aims to describe the development of contextual-based supplementary Nahwu teaching materials in five pesantren in Central Kalimantan using the Matan al-Ajrumiyyah text. The research uses a descriptive qualitative and quantitative EDDIE model approach. The subjects are seven ustadz. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Experts validated the teaching materials. Qualitative data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman\u27s method, involving data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Quantitative data from questionnaires were analyzed using the mean formula. The analysis revealed a need to shift from traditional to contextual-based learning, leading to the development of supplementary Nahwu teaching materials. The design phase identified the learning experiences and specific skills needed by the students. The designed materials included introductions (apperception), examples, explanations, exercises, conclusions, and reflections. The development phase involved creating supplementary materials to achieve the learning objectives, along with determining strategies, methods, and media. Expert validation showed an average validity score of 3.71, with a validity rate of 92.75%, categorizing it as very valid and usable without revision. Theoretical implications suggest that contextual-based Nahwu learning helps learners understand Nahwu and apply Arabic communication. Educational institutions teaching Nahwu can implement contextual-based learning to facilitate students\u27 application of Nahwu

    Get PDF
Despite the increasing adoption of synchronous virtual meetings (SVMs), a notable gap exists in understanding the specific pedagogical approaches favored by educators in Indonesia and the efficacy of student engagement strategies within this context. The study analyzed the strategies used in virtual English language learning meetings in Indonesia, including pedagogical approaches, multimedia integration, and challenges faced. Surveys and interviews were conducted with educators from various institutions in Indonesia using a mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential design. Findings revealed a diverse range of strategies employed, with direct instruction being the most common approach, followed by flipped classrooms and communicative language teaching. The integration of multimedia resources positively influenced the effectiveness of SVMs, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. However, educators faced significant technical issues, student engagement, and assessment complexities. Despite these challenges, SVMs offered opportunities for flexibility, professional development, and global collaboration, enriching the English language learning experience in the Indonesian context. This study highlights the importance of tailored professional development for educators and policymakers to improve their technological integration and pedagogical adaptability

This study delves into the intricate interplay between transformational leadership and the Maqashid Shariah framework within the context of organizational triumph, drawing from established theory and a comprehensive analysis of prior research through literature review. Transformational leadership emphasizes visionary outlooks, motivational dynamics, and constructive influence, while Maqashid Shariah underscores Islamic ideals of prosperity. The amalgamation of these paradigms holds promise for cultivating leadership that is not solely effective in material terms but also morally grounded and adaptable amidst global transformations. Within the Maqashid Shariah framework, leaders are tasked with upholding religious tenets, safeguarding life, property, lineage, and rationality in their decision-making and actions, fostering inclusivity in the workplace, promoting mental well-being, ensuring economic equity, nurturing a morally upright future generation, and fostering intellectual growth. Consequently, leaders imbued with the ethos of Maqashid Shariah serve as catalysts for positive change, propelling organizational objectives forward with Islamic ethics as their moral compass

This study explores the relationship between self-esteem and reading comprehension among male students at SMK Karsa Mulya. It addresses a notable phenomenon where male students often exhibit lower self-esteem compared to their female counterparts. This lower self-esteem can potentially affect various academic achievements, including reading comprehension. The aim of this research is to determine if there is a significant correlation between students\u27 self-esteem and reading comprehension. Correlational research using quantitative methods. 53 students from Class XI for the academic year 2022/2023. SPSS 26 with the product-moment correlation method. The correlation coefficient (r) between self-esteem and reading comprehension was found to be 0.811. The significance level (p-value) was 0.00, which is less than the alpha level of 0.05. The (r table) for a sample of 53 at the 0.05 significance level is 0.279. The calculated correlation coefficient (0.811) exceeds the critical value (0.279) and the p-value (0.00) is below 0.05, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected in favor of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). The results indicate a strong positive correlation between self-esteem and reading comprehension among the male students studied. This suggests that higher self-esteem is associated with better reading comprehension skills. Improving students\u27 self-esteem could potentially enhance their reading comprehension

Active student participation and engagement in diverse practice exercises are essential for mastering all four language skills. Due to the lack of active participation, students\u27 proficiency in Arabic language learning, particularly in speaking skills (maharah kalam), falls below the required educational benchmarks. This research uses a quasi-experimental approach to assess the effectiveness of two different learning media: Plotagon for Tenth-grade students of IPS 1 and digital comics for Tenth-grade students of IPS 2 in improving Arabic speaking skills. The research findings indicate that students who used Plotagon as a learning tool to enhance their speaking skills achieved significantly better learning outcomes on average compared to students who used digital comics for the same purpose. Additionally, this study found that students who utilized Plotagon for learning exhibited higher engagement levels than those who used digital comics. These findings highlight the significance of active engagement in learning Arabic and indicate that Plotagon animation can be a valuable tool for enhancing learning outcomes and student engagement
