Sweeney and Merle Wells from 1932-1959 regarding Idaho territorial history, Pacific Northwest fur trade routes. The correspondence includes historical notes and information about Idaho places names and events, various maps and notes relating to the routes of Lewis and Clark, Pacific Northwest fur trade routes, and the locations of Fort Reed, Fort Henri and Fort Nez Perce. Also includes is a typescript of the unpublished manuscript "The Trail Makers of Idaho." The manuscript was considered for publication by Caxton Printers of Caldwell but economic factors did not allow its publication
