    Adapting IMOI for Information Systems: Toward a Cyclical and Mediated View of System Design

    The Input–Process–Output (IPO) framework has long guided organizational and Information Systems (IS) research. While valued for its clarity, IPO reduces process to a black box and treats outputs as final rather than cyclical, limiting its usefulness in dynamic IS environments where iteration and socio-technical integration are essential. This paper conceptually adapts the Input–Mediator–Output–Input (IMOI) model, first developed in organizational science, for IS system design. A layered comparison with IPO, data flow diagrams (DFDs), and CRUD logic situates IMOI within the IS development stack, and the conceptual analysis is supported by a case vignette of a university mobile system. IMOI reframes process into three families of mediators (technical, cognitive, and affective) that can be observed, measured, and adjusted across cycles. Outputs, including prototypes, user analytics, and stakeholder feedback, are explicitly treated as inputs for subsequent iterations. The findings suggest that IMOI preserves IPO’s clarity while adding diagnostic depth and cyclical adaptability. By emphasizing mediators and feedback, IMOI offers a stronger conceptual foundation for designing, evaluating, and governing modern information systems

    With the challenges of the complexity of shopping mall construction projects often faced by industry players, a strategic approach to risk management is required. The objective of this study is to develop and implement an integrated risk management strategy, focusing on integration methods and conflict management, to improve the efficiency and sustainability of shopping mall construction projects. The research methods include project risk analysis stages, development of integrated risk management strategies, implementation of conflict management, and periodic evaluation and monitoring to ensure the effectiveness of the applied strategy and identify necessary improvements. Data were obtained from 80 respondents out of a population of 100, consisting of project managers, contractors, subcontractors, project owners, consultants, construction workers, and material suppliers through questionnaires and analyzed using factor analysis and Measures of Sampling Adequacy. The variables examined in this study consist of four main aspects: Risk Management (X1), Integration Methods (X2), Conflict Management (X3), and Overall Effectiveness (X4). The study results indicate that integrating risk management supported by open communication among stakeholders, integration methods facilitating team collaboration, and strategic conflict management significantly enhance project success. This strategy contributes significantly to reducing risks, increasing productivity, and improving working relationships among stakeholders

    Artikel ini membahas peran kunci mikrokontroler, sensor MQ-series, dan Internet of Things (IoT) dalam membangun sistem pengukuran gas yang canggih dan efisien. Melalui analisis 20 jurnal yang diterbitkan dalam kurun waktu 2019-2023, artikel ini mengungkap bagaimana ketiga komponen ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan efisiensi, keamanan, dan akurasi dalam proses monitoring dan kontrol gas. Mikrokontroler berfungsi sebagai pusat kendali, mengolah data dari sensor dan menjalankan program yang telah dikonfigurasikan. Sensor MQ-series, yang sensitif terhadap berbagai gas berbahaya, memberikan data real-time yang penting untuk sistem monitoring. Sementara IoT menjadi jembatan digital, menghubungkan sensor dan mikrokontroler ke internet, memungkinkan pemantauan dan kontrol jarak jauh. Aplikasi sistem deteksi gas berbasis IoT yang diulas beragam, meliputi sistem deteksi kebocoran gas rumah tangga, pemantauan kualitas udara industri, dan sistem deteksi kebakaran. Kemampuan monitoring real-time, analisis data, dan otomatisasi respon terhadap deteksi gas membantu meningkatkan keamanan, mencegah kecelakaan, dan memberikan peringatan dini potensi bahaya.Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi mikrokontroler, sensor MQ-series, dan IoT telah melahirkan solusi terdepan dalam pengukuran gas, mengantarkan kita menuju pengambilan keputusan yang lebih cepat, akurat, dan tepat

    Adanya perkembangan, kebutuhan dengan energi khususnya listrik semakin menaik. Pertumbuhan dipengaruhi oleh pertumbuhan penduduk di wilayah tersebut dan faktor ekonomi yang berkembang. Salah satu pemasok listrik yaitu PT. IP UJP Banten 3 Lontar, yang ialah pembangkit listrik yang menghasilkan tenaga listrik dengan kapasitas power terpasang dengan 3 unit, untuk masing-masing unit 315 MW sehingga total daya terpasang adalah 945 MW. PT. IP UJP Banten 3 Lontar menggunakan PLTU sebagai hasil dari sumber energi listrik. Disetiap PLTU memiliki keandalan yang berbeda-berbeda, dikarenakan banyak faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keandalannya. Faktor-faktor yang dapat memperbaiki keandalan PLTU, yaitu melakukan pemeliharaan rutin. Ketika terdapat gangguan pada unit PLTU yang mengakibatkan trip atau bahkan shutdown, tentu hal tersebut akan mengakibatkan kerugian. Sehingga pemeliharaan rutin sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan keandalan pada suatu PLTU. Salah satu bentuk pemeliharaan rutin adalah overhaul. Dalam PLTU efisiensi energi ditentukan dengan direct method dan indirect method. Terdapat instalasi yang penting dalam indikator pada analisis yang akan diteliti yaitu konsumsi bahan bakar, indeks pembangkitan uap, konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik, dan tingat kehilangan energi. Pada metode indirect didapatkan hasil efisiensi boiler sebelum overhaul sebesar 81,689% dan sesudah overhaul sebesar 82,31%. Sehingga terjadi kenaikan sebesar 0,621 %. Pada metode direct didapatkan hasil efisiensi boiler sebelum overhaul sebesar 52,855% dan sesudah overhaul sebesar 53,171%. Sehingga terjadi kenaikan sebesar 0,316 %

    The DKI Jakarta and Banten Load Management Implementation Unit is one of the load control areas in the Java Bali system which participates in load regulation and has 10 subsystems. However, in the current conditions, the Gandul 1.3 - Muarakarang - Kembangan 2 subsystem has several system vulnerabilities. the most transmitted is on the Durikosambi-Kembangan cable channel which has an OCR setting of 1100 A (800 A limitation related to cable capacity and cable age factor at the request of the asset owner). This channel is the main route connecting the Muarakarang generator with IBT Gandul and IBT Kembangan2. For the Durikosambi IBT defense setting scheme, it uses the setting pattern that was previously applied to the Durikosambi-Kembangan SKTT with the same load target, only commissioning from the Durikosambi-Kembangan SKTT to Durikosambi IBT 1 and 2, with it being two new subsystems, there is no need to worry anymore about taking on Durikosambi-Kembangan SKTT so that electricity services can be optimal and the No Outage Zone can be maintained properly. With the operation of GISTET Durikosambi, the operational pattern for the Muarakarang Power Plant has changed, namely Muarakarang Block 1 and PLTU Muarakarang 4-5 can be positioned on standby (Reserve Shutdown). So the generating unit operating is only in Muarakarang Block 2 with an assumed operating pattern of an average of 680 MW in 24 hour

    Masalah dengan jaringan tenaga listrik termasuk penurunan tegangan dan kehilangan daya. Banyak faktor, seperti reaktansi pada feeder dan arus resistansi, mempengaruhi keduanya. Faktor-faktor di atas memungkinkan adanya kemungkinan konfigurasi ulang jaringan untuk mengurangi kerugian ini. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bagaimana pendekatan Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) digunakan untuk mengubah penyulang Tissot dan Topan di GI Sukarame dan Teluk Betung. Hasil  penelitian pada rekonfigurasi penyulang Tissot didapatkan dengan hasil menurunkan rugi daya sebesar 3,8044 % dan dapat memperbaiki profil tegangan  dari sebelumyna 0,97826 p.u menjadi  0,97902 p.u. Hasil penelitan pada penyulang Topan didapatkan dapat mengurangi rugi daya sebesar 4,1534 % dan dapat memperbaiki profil tegangan  dari sebelumyna 0,9849 menjadi 0,98524 p.u. Pemilihan loop yang buruk  saat melakukan inisiasi paramater rekonfigurasi pada jaringan mengakibatkan pemilihan algoritma tidak bisa menemukan fungsi fitness terbaik.&nbsp

    Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tumpang District, Malang Regency, which produce food under the JAWA and Alchikmah brands, do not yet have a branding strategy to differentiate the company's products from competitors, so they experience difficulties in marketing. This activity aims to increase MSME knowledge about the importance of branding to increase sales turnover. The output targets of this activity are 1) providing knowledge about good packaging design, 2) knowledge of good logo and brand design, 3) knowledge of branding strategies to increase sales turnover, 4) knowledge of photography techniques on food products, 5) knowledge about videography techniques on food products, 6) knowledge of marketing strategies using social media. The methods used in the workshop activities include lectures, discussions and questions and answers, as well as simulations. The stages carried out in this activity are 1) field observations 2) training and workshops, 3) evaluation and mentoring. The conclusion from the results of this workshop is that the level of MSME understanding of the entire program is 92%. Some things that need to be considered are the need to carry out ongoing training to optimize knowledge about branding strategies to increase sales turnover, about photography and videography techniques for food products, and increasing marketing through social media

    As long as this fee has not been calculated on a unit cost basis, the rates for midwives differ from one to another, even though they are in the same area. Tariff calculation is only based on the price of goods prevailing in the market. As a result of these differences in rates, people tend to choose private practicing midwives who provide lower rates for the same type of service. The practice of private midwives has not yet calculated the unit cost as the basis for setting tariffs. The purpose is to find out whether the rates currently used are appropriate or not with the unit cost. The data collection technique uses case studies because it only involves one partner unit, namely the midwife. The data collected was then analyzed through descriptive qualitative, namely explaining and explaining the conditions of partners in implementing the excel application regarding practice rates. The location of the community service partner at Midwife Anggraeni Linda Silfyani A.Md.Keb at Babakan Ciparay Bandung. After attending this training, private practice midwives were able to formulate a tariff pattern based on the unit cost that would be used at their practice site. From the explanation above, this dedication to the community is entitled Design Cost Application as the Basis for Determining Tariffs for Private Midwife Practice. From the community service that is carried out, it is hoped that it can minimize problems from partners and become a pilot project for other midwives who have the same problems

    Buana Sukses Sejati, merupakan salah satu Perusahaan distributor makanan dan minuman ringan yang mengalami pertumbuhan penjualan yang signifikan terutama pada produk minuman fermentasi bernama Yoyic. Untuk mengimbangi pertumbuhan ini, perusahaan memerlukan tambahan tenaga penjualan. Namun, proses penerimaan karyawan baru yang masih manual menyebabkan penumpukan berkas lamaran, menghambat pengambilan keputusan dalam seleksi calon karyawan. Penumpukan ini mengganggu efisiensi dan kualitas proses seleksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) untuk penerimaan karyawan baru berbasis web. Metode SPK yang digunakan yaitu metode profile matching sedangkan untuk pengujian fungsionalitas sistemnya menggunakan metode blackbox. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis web yang memfasilitasi proses seleksi penerimaan karyawan baru di PT. Buana Sukses Sejati dimana dapat membantu dan mempermudah dalam menyeleksi karyawan yang sesuai dengan kriteria yang dibutuhkan oleh Perusahaan sehingga lebih efisien dan objektif dalam memilih kandidat terbaik. Selain itu, penerapan metode profile matching sangat membantu dalam proses perangkingan untuk melakukan seleksi alternatif terbaik dan penilaian yang lebih tepat, berdasarkan perbandingan kompetensi individu dengan nilai dalam suatu profil perusahaan

    Waste accumulation is one of the problems faced by urban communities, where garbage accumulation can cause environmental pollution and health problems in the community. This research will design a garbage combustion tool that works automatically that can be monitored at the height of the waste and process the burning of the garbage through the SMS Gateway. The working device on the system consists of a power supply, LM35 sensor, AC voltage dimmer, heating element, infrared proximity sensor, SIM900l GSM/GPRS shield, DC-DC converter, ZMPT101B voltage sensor, ACS712 current sensor, and Arduino UNO R3 microcontroller. Results show the performance of the process of burning the waste is carried out with conditions at the level of the height of waste and conditions based on a load of waste. To the height of waste, PWM is set at 150 at a height of 25%, 200 at a height of 50%, and 255 at a height of 75% for different types of waste, namely plastic, combination, styrofoam, and paper. Overall the tool can work for burning garbage with a 500-gram load/process, with an average of 500 watts of power generated and a burning time of 5 minutes
