Gaps in Marketing Competencies Between Employers’ Requirements and Graduates’ Marketing Skills
This study was conducted to highlight the gaps in marketingcompetencies that are required by employers and those thatgraduates learn at business school. The existing literature wassurveyed to identify the knowledge, skills and abilities required byemployers in the field of marketing and then contextualizedaccording to the requirements of employers in Pakistan. A surveyof marketing graduates was conducted in two parts, competencysurvey 1 was designed to identify the importance of differentcompetencies required in marketing jobs and competency survey 2was to make out the level of those competencies present in freshgraduates, according to their (graduates) own perceptions. Acomparison was made between the results of two cohorts and it wasfound that statistically significant gaps existed in required andactual level of few marketing competencies like ‘design andimplement marketing plan’, ‘conduct market research’ and‘forecasting and budgeting’
LINKAGE BETWEEN ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION AND INTENTION AND
This research focuses on the impact of entrepreneurship education on the intention and desire for venture creation among university students of Pakistan. The study describes the main effects found in the literature and data analysis how non entrepreneur graduates are low hanging fruit than entrepreneurial graduates. This study uses positivism paradigm. A survey is conducted from 160 respondents from private and public sector educational institutes by using close ended questionnaires. For explanation, this study used a five point Likert scale questionnaire. The students, who have taken entrepreneurship education and who have not, were the respondent’s categoryiesto explain the results. Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) software was used to analyse the results. The independent sample t-test is used to measure the difference of two groups. The study proposes that education has a strong impact on venture creation. The candidates, who hold an entrepreneurship course, grow exponentially by exploiting opportunity, situation and the ability (O-S-A). Knowledge of venture creation and confidence to venture has a significant impact on the establishment and growth of the venture

Effective Debriefing Helps Achieve Learning Objectives in the Classroom
Learning involves making sense of whatever has been taught or experienced in the classroom (Watkins, 2009). Individual students may, in fact, interpret such experiences of learning differently and may apply this knowledge distinctly throughout their lives. Classroom activities in this regard may work as useful tools to enhance students' learning experiences through active involvement and reflective practices (Watkins, 2009). However, if whatever done in the class makes no sense to a student and is not integrated effectively with the content and students’ demographics both purpose and process of teaching and learning become ambiguous (Berman, 2004). One of the many reasons where studentslearning is said to be hampered is inadequate opportunity left for the teacher to debrief or review activities once they are done (Dennison, & Kirk, 1990). Thus, I believe, one of the ways to ensure student learning is adequate integration of pedagogy with learning objectives through reviewing and debriefing exercises
Cost Effective Monitoring and Automation of Concrete Plant Using PLC
A PLC is a digital computer used to automate electromechanical processes. This research is based on automation and real time monitoring of concrete plant by using Siemens PLC. Automatic plants can work continuously and can decrease the gap between demand and supply. For such plants there is no need of labor so there is no human error. Without human error the quality of product is better and the cost of production would definitely decrease. The main motivation factor of this research is cost effective automation and real time monitoring of plant
Use of Technology Acceptance Model for Turnitin®
A useful Information System is difficult to conceive and develop. Research on technology has revealed that end-user likes or dislikes may matter towards the success or failure of information system (IS). A highly complicated system in which developers have put lots of development efforts may fail if the end-user dislikes it after its initial installation. In software engineering literature it is claimed that system rejection is mostly caused by not meeting the non-functional requirements. In this paper, a study is being done on ‘turnitin®’ as technology and its acceptance to a group of students in order to find out confirmation of result as claimed by TAM while it is a post implementation research activity for technology acceptance
Motivating Learning in Mathematics Through Collaborative Problem Solving: A Focus on Using Rich Tasks
This paper is based on the concept that lively and interactive math classes are possible by incorporating rich tasks to meet the needs of students operating at different levels in the classrooms. A study was carried out to find out the impact on learning and motivation of using rich tasks at secondary level in the maths class by incorporating co-operative learning. Qualitative research paradigm was opted for the study using an action research approach and the data were collected through two semi-structured interviews conducted at the onset of the research and after the intervention. Few important findings indicate that rich tasks demand different levels of challenge and extend opportunities to those students who need them
Conduct Problems in Children Attending Pre-Primary Schools in Rural Areas of Pakistan
The aim of this study was to explore the conduct problems faced by school going children in the rural areas of Pakistan. Two hypotheses were formulated to explore the significant differences between the intervention and non-intervention groups and gender on the variables of conduct and internalization. The data of a total 386 young children were collected from three different regions, who were enrolled in government pre-primary classes. The children under study comprised two kinds of schools: intervention schools that had early childhood interventions, and non-intervention schools. The data analysis revealed no significant difference between children in intervention and non-intervention schools. However, there was a gender difference found in the variables of conduct and internalization. The conclusion of the study was framed to provide implications of the study for professionals

Problems Faced by Private Sector Primary School Teachers in the Application of Pedagogical Skills
As pedagogy is the science of teaching, it requires considerable creativity for a teacher to attain a firm grasp on it. Only an expert teacher can use different tools and methodologies to enhance learning abilities of his/ her students. For teachers, it becomes essential to utilize their full potentials and resources to keep teaching standards up to the mark. This study was designed to highlight problems faced by teachers in the application of creative teaching methodologies in their classrooms. Teachers teaching at primary level in different private schools of Karachi served as the research participants of the study. A total of fifty teachers were selected by using purposive sampling. For data collection, a structured questionnaire based on Likert Scale containing 32 items served as the instrument of the study. Findings revealed that almost all teachers use demonstration method with sparing use of technology
