Culture-Based Education: A Literature Study in A Multi-Cultural Society
This research examines the importance of local culture integration in education. The study shows that local wisdom plays an important role in shaping individual character and national progress. However, challenges such as the dominance of Western epistemology and the suppression of local knowledge hinder these efforts. This research analyses different ways to integrate local culture into the curriculum, such as including local content in textbooks and creating an inclusive learning environment. The results show that this integration can improve students\u27 critical thinking skills, emotional intelligence and sense of national identity. The importance of meeting the needs of diverse students was also emphasised, including students from different backgrounds. Teacher training and the development of culturally relevant teaching methods are key to the successful implementation of multicultural education. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of creating an inclusive learning environment that values cultural diversity. Thus, education can be more relevant and meaningful for all students
Understanding The Important Role of Decision-Making in Enhancing Organisational Effectiveness: Concepts, Processes, and Managerial Responsibilities
The decision-making process is a fundamental aspect of organizational management. It involves various stakeholders, and the outcomes can have significant implications for finances, individuals’ lives, and the larger economy, resulting in both positive and negative repercussions. Errors in decision-making can lead to a range of adverse consequences, including reduced profits, incurred losses, and even impacts on the national economy. This study is conceptual in nature, focusing on the discussions and perspectives of previous researchers regarding decision-making within organizations. The primary aim is to explore the concepts, processes, and roles of managers in the decision-making process. The findings suggest that decision-making is a multifaceted process that involves different levels of management, including top, middle, and lower-level managers. The researcher also examines the rationalization of decision-making, emphasizing its critical components as well as its inherent weaknesses. To ensure consistency and adherence to proper procedures, the decision-making process must be executed effectively and efficiently. This is especially crucial for managers, who play a vital role in shaping various aspects of the organization. Three key elements define the role of managers in decision-making: rationality, bounded rationality, and intuition. A blend of these approaches is essential for achieving and maintaining the organization’s mission and vision, thereby enhancing productivity and competitiveness
Analysis on Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and Hedonic Browsing Through E-Commerce Shopee Influence Toward Consumptive Lifestyle on Students in Indonesia: A Study at State Polytechnic of Malang
The consumptive behavior of students today is increasingly influenced by technological advancements and the convenience of online shopping through e-commerce platforms like Shopee. This research aims to analyze the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and hedonic browsing effects toward consumptive lifestyle. The approach in this research was quantitative with survey method involving 95 student respondents, which were selected as the research sample. The data which was used was primary data which was collected through the distribution of questionnaires and it were analyzed by using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The research showed that FOMO and hedonic browsing had positive and significant effect toward the consumptive lifestyle. FOMO drove purchases to keep up with trends and hedonic browsing encouraged for pleasure alone. Students should enhance the self-awareness toward the emotional and psychological influences in online shopping activities, particularly related to the phenomenon of FOMO and hedonic browsing habits, in order to be able to make more rational financial decisions and avoid impulsive consumer behaviors
Mobile Accounting Systems: Traditional vs. Modern Approaches
Mobile accounting systems have revolutionized modern financial management by providing flexible access to financial data and improving operational efficiency. This study examines the evolution from traditional desktop-based accounting software to contemporary mobile solutions supported by cloud computing, real-time synchronization, and strengthened security protocols. Key features of modern mobile accounting include enhanced accessibility, automated data entry, integration with enterprise applications and advanced analytics for informed decision-making. Despite these advantages, challenges persist, such as user resistance, data security concerns, integration issues and the need for adequate training. New developments in artificial intelligence, interface design and security are expected to further influence future adoption. This study provides an overview of the developments, capabilities, drivers and barriers of mobile accounting systems and highlights their growing importance in today’s financial landscape
Amalan Terbaik dalam Pengurusan Institusi TVET: Best Practises of TVET Management Institutions

Jurnal artikel ini menyelidik amalan-amalan baik yang membantu keberkesanan pengurusan dalam institusi Teknikal dan Vokasional (TVET). Amalan-amalan baik yang telah dikumpulkan untuk meningkatkan keberkesanan pengurusan TVET ialah amalan transformasi dalam pengurusan TVET dan pematuhan standard ISO, pengurusan sumber manusia, pengurusan kewangan, autonomi dalam pengurusan, pengurusan aset dan risiko, nilai tambah pelajar dan pengurusan koperat. Hasil kajian literatur sistematik dengan 20 buah artikel yang digunakan melalui platform secara atas talian iaitu melalui enjin carian Google Scholar, Semantic dan Mendeleymendapati amalan- amalan baik ini menyokong serta dapat memberikan halaju pada pengkaji akan datang bagi tujuan pemambahbaikan aspek pengurusan institusi pada masa hadapan.

This journal article investigates the best practices influencing the effectiveness of management in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. There are transformation practices, compliance with ISO standard practices, human resources management, financial management, autonomy in management, asset management and risk management, student value-added and corporate management. The results of a systematic literature review with 20 articles used through an online platform, namely Google Scholar, Semantic and Mendeley search engines, found that these good practices support and can provide momentum to future researchers to improve aspects of institutional management in the future
Hemodynamic Analyses of Different Stent Strut Configurations in the Carotid Artery
Vascular stents are essential for treating blockages in the carotid artery, as they restore blood flow and diminish the risk of strokes. However, stents with poor strut configuration can disrupt normal blood flow, leading to turbulence and vortex formation, which may result in low shear stress and an increased potential for clot formation. This study explores the hemodynamic effects of three stent designs with distinct hemodynamic profiles: Type 1 (rectangular struts), Type 2 (hybrid cells), and Type 3 (helical pattern). This study examines the effectiveness of specific stent designs in reducing flow disturbances within a Y-shaped carotid artery model, focusing on three critical locations: the proximal inlet, just before bifurcation, and the distal segment of one daughter branch. In this study, the blood was modeled as a non-Newtonian fluid governed by a Carreau-Yasuda viscosity model using ANSYS. Key parameters included an inlet velocity of 0.5 m/s, infinite shear viscosity of 0.0035 Pa·s, and zero shear viscosity of 0.056 Pa·s. The findings indicate that both stent mesh configuration and implantation location significantly influence local flow dynamics that lead to increased recirculation and eddy formation near the bifurcation, while others facilitated smoother flow, thereby decreasing the risk of thrombosis. Type 3 demonstrated superior hemodynamic performance with balanced wall shear stress (WSS) distribution (peak WSS = 3.025 Pa) and minimal flow disruption, suggesting its potential to reduce thrombosis risk compared to Type 1 and 2 designs. This study highlights the importance of integrating advanced stent designs with anatomically informed placement to enhance flow dynamics and minimise thrombus formation
Characterisation of Cassava Peel-Derived Silica at Different Combustion Temperatures
The growing need for sustainable materials and the environmental burden of agro industrial waste highlight the urgency of transforming biomass into high value resources. Cassava peel, typically discarded as waste, contains silica a valuable mineral composed of silicon and oxygen. This study looks at the possibility of using cassava peel, which is a common waste product from agriculture and industry, as a long-term source of high-purity silica by controlled burning (400–800 °C). Acid leaching and drying process. FTIR, SEM, and TGA were used to look at the structural and thermal properties of the silica. The results showed that silica produced at 600–700°C had the best properties, with the 700°C sample achieving the highest silica yield of 54.3%, silicon content of 41.45wt%, and demonstrating sharp FTIR peaks at 1021cm⁻¹ and 898cm⁻¹ indicating a well-formed amorphous structure. It also exhibited the lowest total weight loss in TGA analysis and a moderate residue of 14.07%, confirming superior thermal stability and high purity. These properties are comparable to those of commercial silica, suggesting its potential as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly filler for polymers. This also shows how useful agricultural waste can be in developing sustainable materials engineering
Statistical Analysis of High-Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering Parameters on the Growth and Composition of AlN Thin Films
This study presents an experimental investigation of Aluminium Nitride (AlN) thin film deposition using High-Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HiPIMS). The main goal is to investigate the significant effect of HiPIMS sputtering parameters on the growth and chemical composition of the AlN thin film. A Design of Experiments (DoE) approach is used to conduct interaction studies among the common sputtering parameters, such as sputtering power, working pressure, and the Argon (Ar) to Nitrogen (N2) ratio. The 2k factorial design is specifically used in this case. The main plot effect demonstrates that the sputtering power was the most significant factor in AlN thin film growth, whereas the growth was inversely proportional to working pressure. The working pressure had a significant impact on the oxygen concentration of the AlN thin films. It was discovered that lower working pressure and higher HiPIMS power were chosen to obtain a balanced stoichiometry with less oxygen concentration. The strong preferred (002) plane orientation of AlN on Silicon, Si (111) substrate produced a with the lowest oxygen content of 5.4% by weight. The results of this work will aid in understanding HiPIMS capabilities and in streamlining the deposition procedure to produce AlN thin films of better quality for usage in piezoelectric and optoelectronic applications
Design of RoF-VLC Based DWDM Communication System
Radio over Fiber with Visible Light Communication system (RoF-VLC) is a promising technology that integrates the benefits of optical fiber communication and wireless transmission. This abstract presents a novel approach to enhance the RoF system by integrating VLC with millimeter-wave (mm Wave) technology, leveraging the advantages of both systems. The proposed system utilizes mmWave signals over a single optical fiber link through a Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology to enable the simultaneous transmission of multiple VLC system. On the other hand, mm Wave technology leverages the abundant bandwidth available in the millimeter-wave frequency range, enabling high-capacity wireless communication. By combining these technologies, the proposed system achieves high-speed data transmission and increased network capacity. WDM technology plays a crucial role in the proposed system by enabling the simultaneous transmission of VLC and mm Wave signals over a single optical fiber. The RoF-VLC system based on WDM technology is built and simulated using OptiSystem software, with four WDM channels at 450 nm, 450.8 nm, 451.6 nm, and 452.4 nm as an optical source of VLC system and a photodetector as a receiver. Each channel with a 40 GHz radio signal is transmitted over a 40 km of fiber link and a 3 m of VLC channel. This proposed design of RoF-VLC system based on WDM has been analyzed based on the effect of propagation distance (km), modulation format, data rate, and input power. The performance analysis show that this system is achieved by using the values of BER at 2.6355e-009 for channel 1, 7.54389e-010 for channel 2, 5.39904e-010 for channel 3, and 2.45532e-010 for channel 4
Characterization and Optimization of Si-FinFET Structure Based on Gate Length and Working Temperature
The ability to use a fin field effect transistor (FinFET) as a nano-temperature sensor is discussed in this research along with the transistor’s temperature sensitivity. Using the multi-gate field effect transistor (MuGFET) modeling tool, the temperature characteristics of FinFET are investigated. Once the current-voltage characteristics at different temperatures and gate lengths (Lg = 7, 10, and 20 nm) are simulated, the temperature sensitivity of FinFETs is computed considering the metal oxide semiconductor diode mode connection. The best temperature sensitivity of the FinFET is observed based on the largest ?I in the operating voltage VDD range of 0–1 V. Furthermore, between 7 and 20 nm, the FinFET’s temperature sensitivity increased linearly with channel length
