Implementasi Kegiatan Magang Internship di Fakultas Desain Komunikasi Visual Universitas Widyatama
Full text linkPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan implementasi kegiatan magang yang berlangsung di Fakultas Desain Komunikasi Visual (FDKV) Universitas Widyatama pada semester Ganjil tahun akademik 2022-2023 dan 2023-2024. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yaitu, data yang diperoleh merupakan pengembangan teori & mendeskripsikan teori. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, dengan teknik analisis data yang mencakup tiga kegiatan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukan bahwa jenis magang yang diterapkan oleh FDKV Universitas Widyatama diantaranya adalah program magang IDUKA, Teaching Industry, dan matakuliah Kerja Profesi. Adapun pelaksanaan magang menggunakan skema 4-1-1 dan 6-1-1 sesuai ketentuan yang ditetapkan Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Vokasi Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, dengan pelaksanaan magang pada semester 5 untuk program D3 dan semester 7 untuk program D4. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan program tersebut, telah terjalin kerjasama dengan mitra magang dan integrasi kurikulum dengan kebutuhan industri membentuk sinergi positif. Program magang di FDKV Universitas Widyatama secara signifikan telah memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pembekalan mahasiswa, menawarkan keterampilan praktis dan wawasan mendalam tentang dunia industri
EL BaRet: Aplikasi Game Edukasi Matematika untuk Siswa Kelas X SMA Berbasis Android
Full text linkThe ease and affordability of technology means that various groups of Indonesian people are familiar with using the internet, especially high school students. Unfortunately, this hurts their academic grades. Dependence on smartphones and online games makes students lazy about studying and difficult to understand lessons. This research aims to combine technological advances to help students become more enthusiastic and easily understand the subject matter. By using Construct 3 and the ADDI method, an educational game application called EL BaRet was created which helps class X high school students in Mathematics lessons on Exponents, Logarithms, Lines and Series. Black box testing and feasibility testing have been carried out with 92% feasibility for the EL BaRet educational game
PERBANDINGAN TANAMAN SAWI (BRASSICA Juncea L. ) TERHADAP SISTEM HIDROPONIK DAN NON HIDROPONIK
Full text linkTujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui desaian hidroponik yang lebih efektif untuk mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi hijau Brassica juncea L. Jenis dan desain penelitian adalah eksperimen, dilaksanakan mulai bulan Februari 2023 – Maret 2023 Sedangkan tempat atau lokasi penelitian berlokasi di Aimas Jl. Cendrawasi dan Jl. Perkutut Kabupaten Sorong. Langkah pertama dalam penentuan sampel adalah sebagai berikut: langkah pertama adalah mengambil 10 biji sawi (Brassica junlea) dan merendamnya kedalam cawan, dan menanam untuk dijadikan populasi sebanyak benih tanaman sawi (Brassica junlea). Memilih 5 benih sawi (Brassica junlea) yang kemudian dijadikan 10 kelompok control yang diberi perlakuan pupuk organik. Hasil pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kandang kambing pada umur satu dua, tiga dan empat MST memberikan hasil yang nyata. Adanya pengaruh yang nyata dari pemberian pupuk kandang kambing diduga karena pupuk tersebut mengandung bahan organik yang cukup, sehingga kebutuhan akan unsur hara didalam tanah terpenuhi untuk pertumbuhan tanaman sawi hijau. Pertambahan jumlah daun, panjang daun, lebar daun, tinggi tanaman, dan panjang tangkai daun adalah salah satu bagian dari pertumbuhan. Pengamatan yang dilakukan untuk setiap parameter, terlihat bahwa desain hidroponik Nutrient Film Technique Pertumbuhan tananaman dengan sistem Nutrient Film Technique memiliki hasil yang sangat baik, karena akar berkembang .

The Analysis of Character Identity in “The Woman in The Window” Novel by A. J. Finn

Employing a comprehensive research methodology, including textual analysis, character profiling, literary examination, comparative analysis, psychological insights, reader response, and an interdisciplinary approach, the study unveils the intricate and multi-dimensional nature of the novel's characters. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of character identity in the psychological thriller genre. The analysis reveals key themes such as unreliable narration, trauma's profound influence, external impacts on character development, the theme of the fragmented self, and deliberate narrative ambiguity. These elements, exemplified through Dr. Anna Fox's character, showcase the complexities inherent in character identity. Furthermore, the study extends its scope to a comparative analysis of psychological thriller novels, reader response studies, comparative character studies across genres, and an analysis of the author's intent. This multi-faceted approach enriches our understanding of character identity within psychological thrillers and underscores the enduring significance of the genre in contemporary literature. In conclusion, this research emphasizes the complex interplay of narrative techniques in shaping character identity, particularly exemplified through Dr. Anna Fox, and highlights the enduring relevance of psychological suspense literature in contemporary contexts
The Relationship Between Teacher Certification and Work Motivation on Teacher Performance
Full text linkTo achieve the goals and objectives of education, namely educating the nation's life and developing a complete human being who believes and is devoted to God Almighty and virtuous, has knowledge and skills, physical and spiritual health, a steady and independent personality and a sense of community and national responsibility. This study aims to analyse (1) The effect of teacher certification on the performance of public junior high school teachers in Air Kumbang District, (2) The effect of teacher work motivation on teacher performance and (3) The effect of teacher certification and teacher work motivation on teacher performance. This study used quantitative descriptive methods and used questionnaires as research instruments. Data was collected from 33 teachers who had been certified by public junior high schools in Air Kumbang sub-district. The collected data is then analysed by multiple regression analysis methods with a Quantitative approach. It can be concluded that the significance value for the effect of teacher certification (X1) and work motivation (X2) on teacher performance (Y) is 0.019 < 0.05 and 0.037 < 0.05. Then > are 6.113> 3.32, and 4.775> 3.32. This proves that Ho3 is rejected and Ha3 is accepted. This means that there is a significant effect of teacher certification (X1) and work motivation (X2) on teacher performance (Y)
A A Systematic Literature Review on Visual Novel as an Engaging Medium for Learning English Skills
No full textVisual novels represent an innovative approach to language learning, particularly in enhancing reading comprehension and expanding vocabulary in English. This qualitative research investigates the impact of visual novels on various language competencies, including reading comprehension, vocabulary expansion, and motivation for language learning. The research approach used in this study is qualitative and systematic literature review (SLR) method to identify and evaluate relevant studies on visual novels as an engaging media for learning English skills. The five previous studies that discuss similar topics were collected as a data collection tool. The data collected from previous studies used are in the range of 2015-2023. The study's findings indicate that visual novels serve as a promising and helpful tool for individuals seeking to improve their language skills. The findings highlight the numerous advantages of visual novels, such as increased motivation, better reading comprehension, and improved vocabulary acquisition. The study highlights the potential of visual novels as valuable tools in language education, emphasizing their ability to make language learning enjoyable, engaging, and applicable to real-life contexts. Through their narrative-driven gameplay and immersive multimedia elements, visual novels offer learners an interactive and captivating learning experience. The integration of cultural aspects within visual novels further enriches the language-learning process, fostering deeper engagement and meaningful connections with the language. Additionally, the structure of visual novels accommodates diverse learning styles and proficiency levels, promoting motivation among learners. Every song has the potential to tell a story, but only a select few possess the ability to touch our souls and leave an indelible mark on our hearts. Coldplay's featuring BTS 'My Universe’ is undeniably one of those rare gems. At its core, this song is a symphony of emotions, a melodic embrace during times of turmoil. In this study, the researchers try to figure out figurative language used in Coldplay’s Song Entitled 'My Universe’ feat BTS (one of the hits Korean boy bands in the world). This research uses qualitative research methodology because this research describes and finds out figurative language that is used in Coldplay’s song. Based on the lyrics, here is the figurative language used in Coldplay Song entitled My Universe. There are metaphors, repetition, imagery, hyperbole, and symbolism. All of the figurative language used in the lyric show that the lyric has beautiful meaning like this sentence “you are my star and my universe”. This sentence contains of hyperbole because the writer of this song uses my star and my universe to describe someone he loved in words. The figurative language used in the song makes the lyric more attractive and artistic for the listeners. Moreover, figurative language also used to make the words in the song more beautiful when it was delivered with the music

As a result of the research findings, first, investment prospects in Indonesia have experienced a continuous increase because Indonesia has very abundant resources, it has abundant raw materials and a very large market share as well. Second, to increase investment in Indonesia, the government is very serious about reducing investment barriers, especially providing legal certainty for investment, especially granting investment permits that are simple and have strong legal certainty too
The Transformation of Labor's Digital Consumption in a Capitalist Regime YouTube Leslar Entertainment: A Christian Funchs Perspective
Full text linkThis research explores the impact that the transformation of social media has had on human communication culture, especially through interactions between celebrities and fans in vlog content on Leslar Entertainment's YouTube channel. The focus is not only on changing digital consumption patterns, but also on the role of social media in the context of capitalism. Using social theories, such as the concepts of presumption, playboard, and digital labour, this study underscores the changes taking place in modern society driven by the logic of power accumulation and accelerated accumulation. The concept of time in labour value theory is also used to identify social media as a reflection of the changing regime of time in modern society. Theoretical and interpretive analysis methods were used in researching vlog content and interactions between celebrities and fans on Leslar Entertainment's YouTube platform. The results show that social media, particularly in the context of Lesla's YouTube.
 
The Use of Kahoot Game to Improve Students’ Vocabulary Comprehension
Full text linkThis study aimed to assess the efficacy of a game called Kahoot to enhance the student's understanding of vocabulary. This study employed quantitative methods, which involved conducting a pre-experimental method and using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research sample comprised 30 eighth-grade students from SMP Gajah Mada Medan. Researchers employed pre-test and post-test instruments based on themes mentioned in Things Around Us. According to the research findings, the Kahoot Game can help students improve their vocabulary. The students' average pre-test score demonstrates this was 61.07. After receiving treatment using the Kahoot game, the score increased on the post-test. Students achieved an average score of 75.33. If we look at the descriptive data, there has been quite a significant increase. The researcher assessed each student's understanding of terminology both before and following the administration of treatment. The t-test formula is utilized to evaluate student's proficiency in language comprehension. The research findings indicate that the statistical computation of the value level of significance is 0.000 lower than sig.0.05 (based on a significance level of 5%). This value indicates a considerable difference between the student's pretest and post-test scores. The results showed that eighth graders at Gajah Mada Middle School could use the Kahoot website to enhance their vocabulary comprehension
