    Revitalization of Culture of Manners in the Era of Information Technology in the Dynamics of Using Social Media

    The complexity and context of this phenomenon are revealed through content analysis of literature and social media. This qualitative study investigates the phenomenon of cultural revitalization in the computer and internet era. In addition, this research will look at how social media influences sociocultural interactions. Research shows that social media has not only changed the way people interact with each other but has also become a place for activism, participation in politics, and developing creative ideas in the economic field. It influences sociocultural dynamics in a very complex way, which requires approaches from various scientific disciplines, such as anthropology, sociology, psychology, economics, and sociocultural political science. In conclusion, studying how social media influences society is an in-depth and complex study. Therefore, to understand how social media affects society, we need to have a broad understanding so that we can lead the revitalization of digital culture towards positive and sustainable development. The phenomenon of cultural revitalization that occurs in the digital era is the main focus of this research. This phenomenon represents a significant transformation in the way society uses, creates, and understands culture. Social media is an integral part of digital culture and plays a vital role in changing the social and cultural dynamics of society. Consequently, it is essential to understand how these changes affect people's daily lives, sociocultural frameworks, and interactions throughout the world

    An Analysis of Indonesian Spelling Errors in Fable Compositions of Class VII Students at Daarul Muqimien Middle School (2019/2020 Academic Year)

    This study aims to describe the form of general guideline errors in Indonesian spelling contained in the fable compositions of class VII students of Daarul Muqimien Middle School, Sukadiri, in the 2019/2020 academic year. This researcher used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subject of this study was the fable texts of class VII students of Daarul Muqimien Middle School. The results of this study are as follows. First, the number of errors in the use of puebi contained in students' writing skills or compositions. The form of general guideline errors in Indonesian spelling (PUEBI) is divided into five aspects, namely errors in the use of capital letters, use of periods, use of commas, use of question marks, use of exclamation marks. From these five aspects, the following results were found; (1) errors in the use of capital letters as many as 47 cases of errors, (2) errors in the use of period punctuation as many as 21 cases of errors, (3) errors in the use of comma punctuation as many as 27 cases of errors, (4) errors in the use of question marks 6 cases of errors, (5) errors in the use of exclamation punctuation as many as 9 cases of errors. Second, From the percentage of errors, errors in the use of capital letters are the most dominant errors made by students, reaching 47 cases of errors. Furthermore, the least frequent error is the error in the use of question marks which reaches 6 cases of errors. From the results of the study, researchers can recommend an understanding of spelling and punctuation in learning so that this learning can improve student learning outcomes

    The Rational and Irrational Dialectics in the Simulacrum of Posters and Narratives in Indonesian Horror Film Genre

    In recent years—and even dating back to the 1970s and 1980s—the Indonesian horror film genre has consistently drawn large audiences to theaters. Conceptually, this study examines this phenomenon by employing Max Horkheimer’s theory of rational and irrational dialectics, Jean Baudrillard’s concept of simulacrum, and Textual Analysis applied to horror film posters and narratives from the 1970s to the 2000s, alongside select Asian horror films that resonate with audiences. The rational and irrational dialectic emerges prominently in Indonesian horror films, as viewers grapple with the interplay between reality and the supernatural depicted in posters and narratives that serve as simulacra, ultimately becoming modern myths. Philosophically, this dialectic presents a dilemma where humans navigate rationality and irrationality in attempting to dismiss mythological elements. Simulacrum, in this context, represents a duplication without an original, blurring the line between the copy and the real. Textual Analysis, rooted in media and cultural studies, is employed here as a methodology for examining texts that contain meaningful signs. Most Indonesian horror film posters and narratives feature terrifying creatures without real-world references. As a result, despite a dip in popularity during the 1990s, horror films from the 1970s through the 2000s have frequently achieved high viewership, especially those based on legendary tales familiar to audiences. These recurring themes, perpetuated through film posters and narratives, are further reinforced by makeup, animation techniques, and CGI (Computer Generated Imagery), all of which bring the horror elements to life

    Keefektifan Media Peta Harta Karun Berbasis HOTS Materi Satuan Berat di Sekolah Dasar

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan serta menguji keefektifan media peta harta karun berbasis HOTS materi satuan berat di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan desain ADDI­­E. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN 2 Lubuklinggau berjumlah 29 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan yakni berupa soal tertulis. Data hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis menggunakan rumus N-Gain. Hasil penelitian pada uji keefektifan kegiatan pretest diperoleh skor rata-rata yakni 38,10 kemudian nilai rata-rata siswa saat posttest sebesar 82,41. Diketahui nilai N-Gain dari rata-rata pretest dan posttest yaitu sebesar 0,72 dengan klasifikasi tinggi sehingga media peta harta karun berbasis HOTS dinyatakan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Maka dari itu berdasarkan rekapitulasi nilai N-Gain dari rata-rata pretest dan posttest serta didukung oleh penelitian yang relevan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media peta harta karun berbasis HOTS materi satuan berat dapat dinyatakan efektif untuk digunakan dalam materi satuan berat kelas II SDN 2 Lubuklinggau

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Interaktif Mesis Madu Berbasis Android Mata Pelajaran IPAS untuk Kelas V Sekolah Dasar

    Penelitian ini menggunakann metode penelitian model ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation). Penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data berupa observasi, angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan terhadap subyek penelitian yaitu Siswa-Siswi Kelas V dan Guru di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 73/X Bandar Jaya, Kecamatan Rantau Rasau, Kab. Tanjung Jabung Timur. Pengembangan dilakukan terhadap materi harmoni dalam ekosistem pada pembelajaran IPAS di Kelas V Sekolah Dasar yaitu berbentuk media pembelajaran interaktif mesis madu berbasis android. Penelitian ini juga telah divalidasi dengan validator ahli yaitu ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media. Hasil validasi oleh validator ahli pada penelitian ini menunjukkan persentase keberhasilan sebesar 95% dimana, validator materi memberikan penilaian sebesar 94%, validator bahasa memberikan penilaian sebesar 100% dan validator media memberikan nilai sebesar 92%. Kemudian, hasil kepraktisan penelitian ini menunjukkan persentase keberhasilan sebesar 98% dari peserta didik dan hasil kepraktisan oleh pendidik sebesar 98%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif yang dilakukan oleh peneliti sangat layak digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran IPAS untuk Kelas V Sekolah Dasar

    Pengaruh Penggunaan Gadget terhadap Hasil Belajar Ranah Kognitif Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran IPS Kelas V SDN 27 Kartiasa

    Penelitian bertujuan: 1) untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat penggunaan gadget siswa kelas V di SDN 27 Kartiasa; 2) untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS V di SDN 27 Kartiasa; 3) untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan gadget terhadap hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas V di SDN 27 Kartiasa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Ex-postfacto. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 27 Kartiasa dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik komunikasi tidak langsung yaitu angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu persentase dan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat penggunan gadget siswa berada pada kriteria cukup (58%), dan hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS berada pada kriteria tinggi (74%). Persamaan regresi Y = 74,6592 +(-0,018X) dan 0,005 < 4,171 (Fhitung < Ftabel) tidak berpengaruh, 0,943 > 0,05 (Jika sig > 0,05) tidak berpengaruh, maka dari itu penggunaan gadget tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SDN 27 Kartiasa. Kesimpulan bahwa jika penggunaan gadget siswa tinggi maka tidak ada pengaruh dengan kenaikan hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS

    Analysis of Indonesian Syariah Financial Institutions Development Strategies

    The research aims to examine the development strategy of Indonesian Syariah financial institutions. This research focuses on how Indonesian Syariah financial institutions increase their capacity to increase their competitiveness in the Indonesian financial industry. In this research, descriptive research methods were used. Moreover, the data source for this research uses secondary data, which comes from OJK and BPS data. Three decades ago, a Syariah bank, PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI). The establishment of this Indonesian Syariah bank was based on intensive requests from thinkers, religious leaders, and Islamic entrepreneurs regarding the importance of accommodating Muslims who wish to make financial transactions in the Indonesian financial industry by applying the principles of Islamic Syariah. After BMI Bank had been operating for several years, the government issued the Banking Law and, in the banking law, recognized the dual system in Indonesian banking, namely, the conventional banking system and the Syariah banking system. Next, the government also issued the Syariah Banking Law to regulate the Syariah banking operational system in Indonesia. Syariah financial institutions have developed from an institutional perspective, with many Syariah banking branch offices, capital markets, and the Syariah non-bank financial industry (IKNB). However, in these three decades, Islamic financial institutions controlled 10 percent of the market share in the Indonesian financial industry. In this research, a strategy was produced to accelerate the capacity of Islamic financial institutions to compete with conventional financial institutions. This research also produced basic (grand), corporate, and functional strategies for accelerating the development of Indonesian Syariah financial institutions

    Students' Perception on Their Positive Thinking in Learning English as a Foreign Language

    This research explores the role of positive thinking in the context of learning English as a foreign language, focusing on students' perceptions of how their optimistic outlook influences their language learning experiences. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study combines quantitative data from a survey administered to 100 undergraduate students at the University of Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur with qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal that students generally exhibit high levels of positive thinking, which significantly impacts their motivation, reduces anxiety, increases class participation, fosters resilience, and enhances overall academic performance and satisfaction. Quantitative analysis shows strong positive correlations between positive thinking and various aspects of language learning, while qualitative data provide deeper insights into how positive thinking helps students set and achieve goals, build confidence, engage actively in class, overcome challenges, and enjoy the learning process. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence on the benefits of positive thinking in language learning. It underscores the importance of integrating positive psychology principles into language education to improve student outcomes. Practical implications for language educators include fostering a positive classroom environment, encouraging optimism and self-efficacy, promoting active engagement, and building students' resilience

    The Importance of Pancasila as the Foundation of National Character

    The civilization or ideology of a country is a collection of fundamental principles (norms) or systems of values that are broad and deep and that they hold as their worldview. Because Pancasila is a philosophy that is considered the most suitable for implementing the state system of the Republic of Indonesia, Pancasila is an ideology for the Indonesian nation. The Pancasila philosophy that Soekarno discovered is still deeply embedded in the minds and souls of the Indonesian people, continuing to shape Indonesia's national culture. One aspect of the cultivation movement, which also means that its application in everyday life consists of creating ideas about Pancasila values that remain within the parameters of the paradigm or the content of the true essence and serve as a foundation to shape the morals and character of the multicultural Indonesian nation in order to maintain harmonious relations among its many ethnic groups.     Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan masalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas II pada pembelajaran matematika materi perkalian. Kurangnya penggunaan media yang menarik menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh media pembelajaran kantong perkalian untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada materi perkalian siswa SD kelas II SD Negeri Tlogoharum 01. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan empat alat pengumpulan data, yaitu wawancara, observasi, tes dan dokumentasi.2 hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kantong perkalian memberikan manfaat tambahan, seperti peningkatan motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa
