ISTIKHDAM AT-TARJUMAH AL-MUTANAKILAH FI SUFUF LUGHAH AL-‘ARABIYYAH FI AT-TA‘LIM AL-‘ALI
This study aims to explore the implementation of translanguaging in Arabic language teaching at the higher education level, focusing on the development of four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving observations and interviews with an instructor teaching an intensive Arabic language program. The findings indicate that translanguaging serves as a significant cognitive strategy in assisting students to understand the structure and vocabulary of the Arabic language, particularly for those with diverse language backgrounds. Students who engaged in translanguaging during their learning process demonstrated significant improvements in their listening and speaking skills, as well as their ability to organize their thoughts more effectively when writing. Furthermore, the study found that the use of a second language as a supportive tool not only enhanced students' comprehension but also increased their engagement in the learning process. Thus, the application of translanguaging in Arabic language teaching at higher education can create a more inclusive and effective learning environment. This research recommends that educational institutions provide training for educators to effectively implement translanguaging in the classroom.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan translanguaging dalam pengajaran bahasa Arab di tingkat pendidikan tinggi, dengan fokus pada pengembangan empat keterampilan berbahasa: mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, yang melibatkan observasi dan wawancara dengan seorang dosen yang mengajar program intensif bahasa Arab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa translanguaging berfungsi sebagai strategi kognitif yang signifikan dalam membantu siswa memahami struktur dan kosakata bahasa Arab, terutama bagi mereka yang memiliki latar belakang bahasa yang berbeda. Siswa yang menggunakan translanguaging dalam proses belajar mereka menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan mendengarkan dan berbicara, serta mampu mengorganisasi pikiran mereka dengan lebih baik saat menulis. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penggunaan bahasa kedua sebagai alat bantu tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa, tetapi juga meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penerapan translanguaging dalam pengajaran bahasa Arab di pendidikan tinggi dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih inklusif dan efektif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar institusi pendidikan memberikan pelatihan kepada pengajar untuk menerapkan translanguaging secara efektif dalam kelas
Meningkatkan Kepercayaan Diri Siswa dalam Berbicara Bahasa Inggris Melalui Program English Day di MI Bilingual Roudlotul Jannah Prambon
Abstract
Speaking skills are one of the skills that students must have in improving English language skills. However, one of the factors that make students unable to master speaking skills is the lack of confidence possessed by students. In addition, to make students confident, one of them is by increasing practice in speaking English and a supportive environment. Through the English Day program, students are required to speak in English for 2 days when learning in class and outside the classroom. This study aims to increase students' confidence in speaking English through the English Day program. In collecting data, researchers used descriptive qualitative methods. The collection techniques in this study used observation and interviews. The subjects used in the study were Full English 3rd grade students with a total of 32 children. From the results and discussion it can be concluded that the English Day program can increase students' confidence in speaking English. However, there are some students who still lack confidence in speaking English with the surrounding environment.

Abstrak
Keterampilan berbicara salah satu keterampilan paling penting yang perlu dimiliki siswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Inggris. Namun, salah satu alasan mengapa tidak dapat mengusai keterampilan berbicara yaitu siswa memiliki rasa kurang percaya diri. Selain itu, untuk membuat siswa percaya diri salah satunya dengan cara memperbanyak praktik dalam berbicara Bahasa Inggris dan lingkungan yang mendukung. Melalui program English Day siswa diwajibkan untuk berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris selama 2 hari ketika pembelajaran di kelas dan luar kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk membuat tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa meningkat ketika berbicara Bahasa Inggris melalui program English Day. Dalam mengumpulkan data memakai metode kualitatif deskriptif. Terdapat 2 teknik yaitu melalui cara observasi dan wawancara. Subyek yang ada pada penelitian yaitu seluruh siwa kelas 3. Dari hasil dan pembahasan bisa ditarik kesimpulan bahwa program English Day bisa meningkatkan kepercyaan diri siswa untuk berbicara Bahasa Inggris. Namun, ada beberapa yang belum berani mempraktikkan di lingkungan sekitarnya.

Kiai Leadership and Curriculum Innovation: A Study of the Curriculum Development of the Diniyah Program of Islamic Boarding Schools
The leadership of the kiai in Islamic boarding schools has a strategic role in the development of the madrasah diniyah curriculum. In this case, the kiai functions as the main decision maker for his leadership in planning the diniyah program curriculum that is integrated with formal education in the Islamic boarding school. This study aims to discuss the leadership of the kiai in the development of the diniyah program curriculum at the Tebuireng Jombang Islamic boarding school. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, data validity and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that KH. Abdul Hakim Mahfudz as a caregiver applies charismatic and transformational leadership that complement each other in developing the Islamic boarding school. Evidenced by the presence of components such as attributed charisma, idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration in his identity. The diniyah program curriculum is designed as a comprehensive guide for diniyah program learning that is integrated with the formal madrasah curriculum to support the formation of character and knowledge of students. The development orientation includes six aspects, namely program objectives, curriculum objects, learning processes, teacher roles, and learning environments. Weaving Optimal Roles: Mudiroh's Strategy in Optimizing the Role of Musyrifah in Ma'had Aly
The development of students and teaching in the community are important aspects in the management of education at Ma'had Aly Mohammad Natsir Putri. In this context, the role of mudiroh greatly determines the effectiveness of program implementation, especially in optimizing the role of musyrifah. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, and data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was strengthened by source triangulation and member check techniques . The results of the study indicate that mudiroh plays a role in identifying community needs, selecting appropriate musyrifah, and monitoring learning programs. However, limitations in monitoring and emotional readiness of musyrifah are major challenges. Nevertheless, this program has contributed to the development of musyrifah and their readiness to preach. These findings provide insight into the management strategy of the role of educators in preparing them as agents of preaching outside the formal education environment, and highlight the importance of a flexible leadership approach and emotional empowerment for educators
THE CONVERSATION ANALYTIC ROLE PLAY METHOD (CARM) FOR TEACHING SPEAKING SKILLS

Penelitian ini dilakukan di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melihat berbagai masalah dan kesulitan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan berbagai hambatan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini membahas tentang penggunaan metode CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) untuk pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara melalui materi direction. Skema CARM dikembangkan dari penelitian komparatif dalam waktu yang singkat. Metode CARM ini memberikan interaksi kepada siswa untuk menguji keberanian dan kepercayaan diri siswa terkait pertanyaan atau masalah yang akan diberikan oleh guru. Siswa saling membantu memecahkan masalah dengan kemampuan masing-masing. Setelah itu dijelaskan di kelas. Skema penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif karena dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengumpulkan data, melakukan investigasi, dan menarik kesimpulan. Metode kualitatif merupakan metode yang menitikberatkan pada pengamatan secara mendalam, dimana peneliti memperoleh data dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menjelaskan bagaimana guru mengajarkan keterampilan berbicara dengan menggunakan metode CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) pada siswa kelas XI jurusan TBSM di SMK Raudlatussalam Glenmore Banyuwangi tahun ajaran 2023-2024. Dari hasil penelitian ini, CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) merupakan metode yang sangat tepat dan baik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris melalui pemberian materi dan saran. Skema pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara menunjukkan nilai rata-rata di atas 78.00, yang merupakan nilai yang cukup baik. Oleh karena itu, dengan menggunakan metode CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method), pengaruh penggunaan metode CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) dapat merubah pola pikir siswa tentang sulitnya belajar bahasa Inggris, khususnya dalam keterampilan berbicara. Dalam metode CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa, memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mengekspresikan ide-idenya, dan membuat siswa lebih aktif dalam memikirkan konsep-konsep dalam pelajaran bahasa Inggris.
ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in class. This research was carried out by looking at the various problems and learning difficulties of students. This research was carried out with various obstacles to learning English speaking skills. This research discusses the use of the CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) method for learning speaking skills through direction material. The CARM scheme was developed from comparative research over a short period of time. This CARM method provides interaction with students to test students' courage and confidence regarding questions or problems that will be given by the teacher. Students help each other solve problems with their respective abilities. After that, it was explained in class. This research scheme uses qualitative research because, in this research, the researcher collects data, carries out investigations, and draws conclusions. The qualitative method is a method that focuses on in-depth observation, where researchers obtain data from observation, interviews, and documentation. Therefore, this research intends to explain how teachers teach speaking skills using the CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) method to class XI students majoring in TBSM at SMK Raudlatussalam Glenmore Banyuwangi in the 2023-2024 academic year. From the results of this research, CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) is a very appropriate and good method for improving speaking skills in learning English through offering materials and suggestions. The speaking skills learning scheme shows an average score above 78.00, which is a pretty good score. Therefore, by using the CARM method, the effect of using the CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method) method can change students' mindsets about the difficulty of learning English, specifically in speaking skills. In CARM (Conversation Analytic Role Play Method), it can increase students' self-confidence, give students the opportunity to express their ideas, and make them more active in thinking about concepts. in English lessons.
 
Digital Tools and Language Learning Strategies: Enhancing Students’ Engagement and Achievement in Graduate Studies
This study explores the role of digital tools and language learning strategies in engagement and achievement at the graduate level. This was achieved through a mixed-methods strategy that included a sampling survey with Likert scales as well as in-depth coding of qualitative data. The survey was distributed through the platform and consisted of 15 open-ended questions measuring cognitive, emotional, and behavioral types of engagement on a scale of 1 to 5. The descriptive-analytical methods and qualitative coding were used to measure engagement and student experiences. Emotion engagement was found to be the strongest, while cognitive engagement was high as well but behavioral engagement was relatively lower, indicating participants’ struggle to keep up the consistency in studying. Interactive learning, real-life practice, and even motivational collaboration were used as qualitative analysis reveals while technical difficulties and poor attendance were provided. The results call for some degree of caution in the application of such digital tools that must be incorporated strategically. Future research should find ways to improve behavioral engagement and overcome technological hurdles to improve the overall effectiveness of the digital learning experience
Pemberdayaan Ibu-Ibu PKK Desa Parit Baru Melalui Pelatihan Pembuatan Lilin Aromaterapi Berbasis Limbah Minyak Jelantah
Used cooking oil is a common type of household waste that is often disposed of carelessly and can harm the environment. Parit Baru Village, with its dense population, produces a large amounts of used cooking oil waste. Meanwhile, the role of PKK (Family Welfare Movement) as change agents in the community has not been fully utilized in managing such waste. Therefore, this program aims to empower PKK through training in making aromatherapy candles from used cooking oil waste, as a means to raise environmental awareness and create opportunities for creative economic activities. Using a Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach, this program involving technical training, discussions, and hands-on practice in processing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles. Through this program, they become more aware of the dangers of throwing away used cooking oil carelessly and gain new skills in making aromatherapy candles from used cooking oil waste. The resulting products have economic potential and can help reduce household waste. Thus, this activity not only provides education but also opens up new business opportunities based on the creative economy, which is expected to encourage the creation of independent household-scale businesses that contribute to family welfare and environmental conservation
Pendampingan Bimbingan Belajar Baca Tulis untuk Mengatasi Kesulitan Literasi pada Siswa Kelas Atas Desa Karang Anyar
This reading and writing tutoring assistance program was implemented as an effort to overcome literacy difficulties experienced by upper-grade elementary students in Karang Anyar Village. Literacy problems, particularly in reading and writing skills, have become a serious concern as they directly affect students' academic performance and critical thinking abilities. The program was carried out using a participatory approach with tutoring methods tailored to the needs and skill levels of the students. The assistance was conducted regularly with materials focusing on improving reading comprehension and writing simple narratives. The results of the program showed an improvement in students' literacy skills, including reading fluency, comprehension of reading materials, and the ability to express ideas in written form. This program demonstrates that well-directed and continuous assistance can be an effective solution to address literacy challenges at the elementary school level, especially in rural areas such as Karang Anyar Village
Effectiveness of School Field Introduction (PLP) Program on Improving Teaching Strategy Skills of Mathematics Education Students
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the School Field Introduction Program (PLP) in improving the teaching strategy skills of mathematics education students. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta students. According to the results, most students reacted positively to the introduction of PLP, especially in terms of their attitudes towards lesson planning, content absorption, study monitoring, and the use of technology in education. Increased self-esteem, development of teaching skills, and preparation of people for academic challenges were all considered benefits of the program. However, there were areas related to teamwork and self-assessment that needed to be developed. These results underline the importance of incorporating real experiences such as PLP into teacher training programs to develop flexible and competent instructors
PERAN KEPEMIMPINAN VISIONER DIPESANTREN DALAM MEMBANGUN KARAKTER SANTRI MILENIAL
The phenomenon of declining discipline and resilience of values among millennial students in Islamic boarding schools is influenced by the rapid flow of information and instant culture through social media which often contradicts the values of tawadhu', ikhlas, and zuhud. This study aims to analyze the role of visionary leadership in Islamic boarding schools in building the character of millennial students. The approach used is a qualitative case study. The research location is at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Blokagung, Banyuwangi. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was checked through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that visionary leadership in Islamic boarding schools plays an important role in building the character of students through three main strategies, namely the integration of character values in the curriculum, the development of exemplary-based mentoring programs, and the implementation of character-based evaluations. This research contributes to strengthening the paradigm of character education based on transformative leadership in Islamic boarding schools. Further research is recommended to use a quantitative or mixed approach, as well as expanding the study to various Islamic boarding schools to obtain more comprehensive and representative results
