No full textThis book celebrates the first fifty years of the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. Published in 1936, it is a revision of Elizabeth W. Wager's thesis for her Master of Arts degree from the University of Toledo, titled Origin and Growth of the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church of Toledo, Ohio. The church's Historical Committee revised the original thesis for publication into this book. It covers early baptist history in northwest Ohio, the organization of the Platt Mission into the the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, and histories of each of the pastorates from 1887 to 1936. As of 2024, Ashland Avenue Baptist Church is known as Ashland Church and is located at 2350 Starr Avenue in Oregon, Ohio
