The Asphalt Section of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Office of Materials Management (OMM) provides standard Excel templates, commonly known as asphalt mix design packets or job mix formula (JMF) packets, on its website for use by contractors in the development of the mix designs for different types of asphalt mixes including Items 301, 302, 424-A, 424-B, 441 and 442. The JMF packets currently used by ODOT have not been significantly updated in the last 20 years. This research-on-call (ROC) task was initiated to update the mix design packets to implement proposed mix design modifications from previous and ongoing research studies into the packets and to make the packets consistent with ODOT's current construction and material specification (C&MS) book following its recent reorganization. The JMF packets were also updated to make them more user-friendly and to incorporate features to check data entry by contractors prior to submission to ODOT OMM Asphalt Section
