Webar Application For An Air Quality System In IOT-Based Smart Environement
Augmented Reality (AR) and the Internet of Things (IOT) are trending technologies that have gained popularity in smart cities. In this paper, we propose a non-expansive and uncomplicated prototype that combines the two technologies, namely, the Internet of Things and Augmented Reality, to build an air quality monitoring system for a smart environment. The webAR application developed can be used on any device, and it control measurements of temperature, humidity, and air quality data collected from multiple IOT devices. In addition to the ease of use and speed of loading compared to other applications, our prototype offers an application that does not require installation, a major factor that limits user use. Finally, the paper indicates the prospects of these technologies and the challenges their development is facing
E-Character Education among Online Learning: Focusing on Performance, Collaborative, and Spiritual Character
Character development is one of the goals of the teaching and learning process. On the other side, teachers are still looking for an effective way to instill good character in the students through online learning. According to the survey, this research focuses on the students' characters of individual performance, collaborative and spiritual character. The transition from conventional to e-learning because of the Covid-19 pandemic significantly affects the readiness of lecturers and students to get involved in learning activities, which affects the development of the students' characters. This is a mixed method case study, conducted in seven university. Seven hundred forty-six students of public and private higher educations in Indonesia were investigated in this research. Data collected through observation, field journals and interviews. Data were analyzed through quantitatively and qualitatively. The result showed that the students' performance and collaboration characteristics were not as good as their spiritual character. The students did assignments without paying too much attention to the quality of the content. The students tended to finish the assignments independently, they were rarely involved in the discussion, felt the changing of the academic climate because of the difficulties in accessing the platform to fulfill the needs of remote interaction among the students. The lecturers' readiness was unfamiliar with the teaching platform, and they needed time for converting teaching material into digital form and gave them many assignments.

The Role of Geographic Information System in Environmental Planning and Management in Oman
The use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has grown to cover various disciplines. The ability to use big data and geoprocessing tools allowed many sectors to use spatial data analysis and modeling for more effective decision-making and increased productivity. The use of GIS has become even more vital in the field of environmental planning and management, where incorporating environmental information contributes significantly to sustainable development. In addition, the ability to use spatial modeling at small-scale local or large-scale regional levels will broaden the knowledge of the direct and indirect impacts of development projects on the environment. This paper assesses the role played by GIS in Oman for generating information to gain insight into the many environmental challenges faced by the country toward more sustainable development. It provides an overview of what has been achieved, the approaches taken, and the way forward
Linguistic Shift among Ghanaian and Nigerian New English Native Speakers (NENS): Pedagogical Implications
This study investigates the intriguing linguistic phenomenon of New English Native Speakers (NENS) in Ghana and Nigeria. NENS are typically monolingual, with some having limited ability to speak or understand their local languages. Their adoption of English as a native-like language has led to the creation of a unique linguistic subgroup and a language shift in the two countries. The research, therefore, provides insights into the linguistic shift among Ghanaian and Nigerian NENS and its pedagogical implications. A survey questionnaire was administered to collect quantitative data on participants' language backgrounds, patterns of language use, and competence in English concord usage. The overall percentages of correct responses for both countries are computed, yielding approximately 42.65% for Ghana and approximately 39.15% for Nigeria in concord competence. Notably, Ghana exhibits a marginally higher overall percentage of correct responses than Nigeria. The findings of this investigation hold significant implications for pedagogy in both nations. In order to address the observed linguistic challenges in Ghana and Nigeria, the study advocates for the adoption of more communicative and task-based approaches to English language teaching, alongside an increased emphasis on authentic language exposure.. The research underscores the pressing need for more effective pedagogical methodologies in instructing English concord usage. English language teachers in Ghana and Nigeria are encouraged to acknowledge the identified challenges and devise strategies to enhance English language teaching and learning.
