    No full text
This study aimed to explore the impact of work stress on the psychological well-being of the public elementary school teachers. The sample consists of 60 out of 75 teachers from the three public elementary schools located in the municipality of Barobo, Surigao del Sur. The study utilized a correlation and regression research design. Results revealed that teachers find their job relatively relaxed due to their students' behavior and can maintain a positive attitude and focus on their teaching goals. Moreover, positive working relationships between teachers and administrators can help reduce teacher stress levels. Results further revealed that there is a strong positive correlation between the work stress and the psychological well-being of the public elementary school teachers, and this correlation is statistically significant.  However, regression analysis revealed that the work stress of these teachers did not have a significant impact on their psychological well-being. Consequently, the above results implied that work stress did not predict the psychological well-being of public elementary school teachers

Flame Resistant of Larch Plywood According to Main Ingredients of Fire Retardant Paint

    No full text
The aims of this study is to comparative analyze the flame resistant of Larix kamperi according to fire retardant paints with different main components. Wood, an eco friendly traditional material, has been proven to reduce carbon, drawing attention as a solution to climate change, an international environmental issue. Wood is used as a material for buildings as furniture, interior, and furniture, and greatly satisfied users who require eco-friendliness. However, wood is a factor that increases the fire load in a fire. In previous studies, the fire vulnerability of Cryptomeria japonica, Pinus densiflora, MDF, OSB, cork board, and plain wood plywood was analyzed. As a result, wood without flame retardant treatment was vulnerable to fire. To compensate for this problem, we intend to secure an evacuation time by delaying the ignition time in case of a fire. Accordingly, Flame retardant treatment is implemented in accordance with Article 20 of ?the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the maintenance and Safety Management of Firefighting Facilities?. The main flame-retardant paint used is bromine, a halogen compound, and has high flame resistant. However, it is subject to environmental regulations due to the problem of soot and smoke generation. Eco friendly fire retardant paint are continuously being developed to escape regulations. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the effect of the flame resistant by treating the developed fire retardant paint for each tree species. So, three types of fire retardant paint with different main components are selected and treated on a larch plywood to analyze flame resistant. In this study, after flame time, after glow time, char length, and char area were measured in accordance with Standard of the Nation Fire Agency of Republic Korea. The main components of fire retardant paint are ammonium polyphosphate, emulsion resin, and phosphorus based mixture. Based on each theoretical application amount, 150g/m2, 180g/m2, and 180g/m2 were applied as the flame retardant paint. As a control group, a test specimen that was not with flame retardant treatment was set. The results are as follows. First, ammonium polyphosphate was the most excellent flame resistant. Second, as a result of flame retardant treatment the phosphorus mixture with the same main ingredient on the same type of larch plywood, the effect of flame resistant was different depending on the technology development of each manufacturer. Third, all larch plywood satisfied the flame resistant regardless of the presence or absence of flame retardant treatment. This seems to be because Larix Kamperi itself has a property that does not burn easily. It is expected that the results of this study will be used as basic data for the production of semi noncombustible material suitable for flame resistant Standard of the Nation Fire Agency of Republic Korea in the future

    No full text
This study was conducted to determine the effect of Otago exercise intervention on muscle mass, muscle strength, and physical performance, which are diagnostic indicators of sarcopenia, in elderly individuals aged 65 or older. The final subjects included 6 individuals in the walking exercise group and 5 people in the Otago exercise group. Walking exercises were conducted 12 times a week for 22 minutes at a time and more than 80 steps per minute whereas the Otago exercise was conducted four times a week for 50 minutes, a total of 12 times under the supervision of a senior movement leader. After the intervention, a diagnostic evaluation of sarcopenia was performed, and before and after the intervention, the intergroup skeletal muscle mass (ASM), grip force (Hand Grip), and SPPB were compared. The three evaluation parameters are related to physical function and showed that after each exercise intervention, the Otago exercise group exhibited an increase in the limb skeletal muscle and the SMI. The walking exercise resulted in a decrease in muscle strength, but the Otago exercise group showed an increase in this metric. The SPPB score increased in the Otago movement group, but no statistically significant results were obtained. It was demonstrated that the Otago exercise positively affects the index of muscle loss in the elderly, and is potentially effective for preventing and managing sarcopenia

One of the problems in Indonesia is the imbalance in development between cities and villages. The government makes efforts to increase village development by providing village fund assistance. One of the Village Fund Recipients is Dairi Regency. Village fund receipts in 2015 had a positive influence, where the number of poor people decreased by 1.6%, but in 2016 people experiencing poverty increased by 0.16%. From these problems, this research aims to analyze the influence of village funds on unemployment rate, labour force, poor population, and gross regional domestic product of Dairi Regency last year, (2) to analyze the influence of village funds on the Human Development Index of Dairi Regency, Total Employed, undergraduate education level, and last year's village funds. Economic Development is one of the goals of a country/region to increase the availability or expand the distribution of goods' basic needs for life, clothing, housing, education, and health. The method used was quantitative with a model of Two Stage Least Square (2SLS) using the SAS program version 9.2 in 2010-2022. The results show that village funds, labour force, and gross regional domestic product of Dairi Regency last year had a real and significant effect of 95%. Variables of village funds are very responsive (elastic), affecting the gross regional domestic product of Dairi Regency in the long term.  Variables of village funds are influenced by village income, education level, Human Development Index, and last year's Village Funds. Last year's village income and village fund variables had a real and significant effect of 95%. Village income variables are very responsive to influencing village funds in Dairi Regency in the short term and the long term

The Application of Linear Programming into Production Schedule at Electrical Panel Company

    No full text
This study aims to implement linear programming to produce an optimal production schedule to obtain the maximum profit for an electrical manufacturing company and deliver finished products to customers on time. Linear programming was applied as a tool to carry out optimal production planning [11] every month in a business calendar year, with the objective function of maximizing Profit [12], considering the limitations of existing resources within the company. The results showed that the proposed model's production schedule surpassed the company's target. Despite the target being eight panels per day or 1880 panels per year for 235 working days, the model delivers 2032 panels throughout the year, or 152 panels more significantly than the target set. Manufacturers produced twelve types of parent products. However, this study presented only five types of products as decision variables in the linear programming formulations. Due to time constraints and data readiness, it is hoped that the entire parent product type can be presented as a decision variable on the next occasion. This production planning model can be one of the solutions to support the Operational Management manager in solving the problems that usually occur in manufacturing, as well as a reference for the master production schedule for procuring material needs. This study contributes to planning electrical panel production scheduling to provide optimal planning and increase the knowledge base in operation
