A New Approach of Presenting Lindley Expontiated Gumbel Distribution with Application to Environmental Data

    No full text
The Lindley exponentiated Gumbel (LEGu) Distribution, a new family of probability distribution developed for modelling environmental data is introduced in this research paper. The investigation defines the new distribution's basic statistical properties, such as its shape, density function, hazard rate function, moment generation function, and maximum likelihood estimates of its model parameters. The study shows that, in comparison to other baseline distributions and comparators, increasing the number of parameters in the distribution improves its robustness and adaptability, making it more flexible in accommodating different types of data. The model is now more adaptable and can handle a wider range of data sets, making it a useful and effective tool for environmental modelling. The creation of the Lindley exponentiated Gumbel Distribution and the statistical qualities that go along with it bring up new possibilities for the analysis of environmental data, making a significant contribution to the larger initiatives in climate research and decision-making. The results of this study have the potential to advance our comprehension of environmental mechanisms and raise the precision of climate assessments and projections

    No full text
This paper investigates the mediating role of fans' attitudes in the relationship between sports sponsorship and the purchase intention of Ghanaian football fans. Survey data were collected from 398 official supporter groups of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC (Circles) and Accra Hearts of Oak SC (Chapters) using a purposive sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was utilized to gather the data. The study employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to validate the model. The results indicate that sponsorship significantly influences purchase intention and fans' attitudes. Furthermore, the findings demonstrate that fan attitude mediates the relationship between sponsorship and purchase intention. These findings suggest that sponsorship plays a significant role in improving the purchase intention of football fans, and the impact of sponsorship on purchase intention is strengthened by fans' attitudes. Overall, this study enhances our understanding of the complex dynamics between sponsorship, fans' attitude, and purchasing intention, particularly in the context of Ghanaian football fans. While the study provides useful findings for industrial players and practitioners, it is essential to acknowledge that this study relied on cross-sectional survey data, which limits our ability to establish causal relationships. Additionally, the current study focused specifically on soccer fans of only two Clubs in Ghana, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings to fans of other teams or sports, limiting the applicability of the study's results to a broader context

Foster Care Being a Second Home for Abandoned Children: An Analysis on Cathy Glass’s Saving Danny.

    Get PDF
This paper explores the role of foster care as a secondary home for abandoned children and its significance in fulfilling the developmental needs of these youngsters. As biological parents seek support, recovery, and therapy, foster care offers a secure refuge for children and adolescents. Abuse and neglect often necessitate the removal of children and teenagers from their homes, making it imperative to find a secure environment for them. Foster care serves as a refuge for children and teenagers in need, even though it might be challenging to perceive it as a stable environment at first glance. The act of uprooting children from their homes may seem unsettling, but for those who have experienced abuse or neglect, foster care offers a stable and supportive home setting. Foster families provide essential elements like education, meals, shelter, and access to healthcare, which these children may have lacked before entering foster care. This, in turn, positively impacts their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Additionally, foster care can provide biological parents with an opportunity to focus on establishing a stable home environment where their children can eventually return. This research draws inspiration from Cathy Glass's "Saving Danny," a powerful narrative. Cathy Glass is a prolific author with a portfolio of 34 books, each of which offers valuable insights into the lives of children in foster care. Through the lens of Cathy's experiences as a foster carer, these stories shed light on the challenges these vulnerable children face and how a nurturing and loving environment can help them overcome these obstacles

    Get PDF
The agricultural sector suffers from several problems in the state of EL-Oued in southern Algeria at the farm level as a productive unit in the rural desert area due to human practices. Changing the way of dealing with the components of agricultural work brings many benefits in various fields. The implementation of the strategy of sustainable agricultural development achieves positive results on four axes: first, the economy ensures a higher income for the farmer with less and regulated expenditures; second, the crop is more productive and of quality; third, preserving the environment through less resource consumption with the ability to recycle agricultural waste, which reduces the environmental pollution of soil and water; fourth, biodiversity of animal and plant organisms. All axes are in the interest of man as an activist, consumer, and living being who influences and is influenced by the environment in which he lives

Hygienic Problem of Environmental Pollution by Waste of Animal and Poultry Complexes

    No full text
The article presents digital material illustrating the sanitary and hygienic problem that arose as a result of environmental pollution (atmospheric air, water, soil) with livestock and poultry waste due to imperfect technology for keeping farm animals (ventilation system, optimization of the microclimate and disposal of solid and liquid production waste). It is shown how much and what waste products are excreted by farm animals (poultry, pigs, cattle) during different periods of ontogenesis and what volumes of them, not utilized, are stored, polluting the habitat of animals and humans with substances harmful to their health (ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, urea, protein decomposition products, etc.). With manure, droppings, and wastewater, numerous pathogenic organisms enter the soil, underground and surface waters, maintaining their viability and virulence for a long time, supporting the circulation of pathogens of dangerous diseases of farm animals and humans (salmonellosis, brucellosis, tuberculosis, helminthiases, coccidiosis, and others). The large number of animals in agricultural complexes with suboptimal growing technology contributes to the spread and maintenance of various dangerous diseases that reduce the productivity and vitality of animals. The authors of the article, stating the problem, convincingly propose to move to environmentally and economically optimal technologies for raising farm animals based on modern, scientifically developed technologies of agricultural production. To optimize the microclimate of livestock premises, it is necessary to more intensively introduce methods of ionization, ozonation and the use of microorganisms that utilize waste products of farm animals and microorganisms that are antagonists to pathogens. Innovative technologies for keeping animals on a scientific basis should combine animal husbandry, soil science and crop production into a single cycle, which will minimize the circulation of pathogens in the environment and ensure environmental and food security in the Republic of Uzbekistan

    No full text
An analysis of the relationship between the percentage of direct sellers (DSP) and the unemployment rate in WFDSA member countries has been carried out by applying a panel data model for the period from 2015 to 2019. The results reveal that this connection exhibits a positive and statistically significant correlation, standing out especially in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions. In the context of developing economies, this study has identified a more pronounced relationship, evidencing that a 1% increase in the unemployment rate translates into a significant 0.38 increase in the percentage of direct sellers. In contrast, in developed countries, this increase is more modest, at 0.07. This finding highlights the sensitivity of the direct selling industry to economic and labor dynamics, showing a more robust response in emerging economic environments. The significant contribution of this research to the literature lies in being a study that examines both temporal and cross-sectional variability in the relationship between the percentage of direct sellers and the unemployment rate. By addressing this research gap, it has provided a more comprehensive and enriching perspective on the dynamics of these variables over time and across geographic regions. In addition, the study underscores the crucial relevance of the direct selling industry in the global economy. By becoming a significant alternative for unemployed individuals, this form of commerce emerges as an important catalyst for income generation in times of job uncertainty. This finding highlights the ability of direct selling to not only provide economic opportunities for individuals seeking employment, but also to adapt and thrive in changing economic environments, presenting itself as a valuable and dynamic option in the contemporary employment landscape
