Mining Github for Factors That Affect Open Source Software Sustainability
Open-Source Software (OSS) is everywhere. The availability of such software enables researchers in software engineering to have a deep insight into the factors that affect the success of the software. Some OSS repos get more popular and evolve over time, while others may only survive for a couple of months. This study aims to help developers identify internal factors that affect the sustainability of their software. Firstly, identify the most demanding application domain; secondly, observe the most popular repositories (for the demanded application domain) for about three years to identify the factors that help such repos to survive (sustainability factors). Dara mining algorithms (classification and regression) are used as a tool to find the GitHub factors that affect the sustainability of OSS
Punishment Policy on Homicide Violence in Indonesia
This paper was follow-up research of the author’s dissertation entitled, "Homicide by Wife in the Context of Domestic Violence: Case Studies of Convicted 4 Female Perpetrators in Women Prisons in Bandung, Indonesia." The findings from the dissertation showed that, in a normative manner, a wife who committed homicide against her husband was guilty and violated the criminal law regardless of the motive behinds it. Using feminist research and qualitative approach, the author argued that women (wives) who killed their partners in response to domestic violence were also victims. Therefore, imprisonment was not appropriate for them. This article discussed the public’s perception on women committing homicide in response to domestic violence by exploring the reasons why women engaged in such acts, rehabilitation measures, lenient treatment, and protection programs for women who committed homicide in reaction to domestic violence. Based on these discussions, the author concluded that a specific policy was necessary in Indonesia to regulate alternative intervention programs for women (wives) who commit homicide to their partners in reaction to domestic violence. The intervention programs shall include social work penalty and rehabilitation measures as well as implementation procedures, success indicator measurement, and evaluation criteria to see the implications of the policy

Effect of Flipped Learning Simulation Practice Education: Posterior Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome
This study aimed to verify the effectiveness of flipped learning simulation practice education for children with neonatal respiratory distress syndrome and to explore efficient practical education methods in pediatric nursing. The research design used a post-experimental design method with unequal groups and a time lag. The study participants consisted of 32 in the experimental group and 31 in the control group, a total of 63 participants. Data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS v. 21.0. The difference in baseline characteristics between the two groups was tested using t-tests, X2-tests, and Fisher's exact tests. There was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the homogeneity test. However, the group that participated in the flipped learning simulation practice education showed statistically significant results in terms of learning immersion (t=-4.083, p<.001) and problem-solving ability (t=-8.906, p<.001). However, there were no statistically significant differences in learning satisfaction (t=-1.581, p=.119) and self-efficacy (t=.144, p=.886). These results suggest that if various simulation programs applying flipped learning are developed and applied in future simulation practice education, it could potentially be utilized as an effective educational intervention. This is where the significance of this study lies
Hydrodynamic Cavitation Reactor for Efficient Biodiesel Production. A Review
Biodiesel emerges as a viable option to replace fossil fuels, but the traditional process for the production of biodiesel requires a large energy expenditure, since transesterification has a slow conversion due to the immiscibility of alcohol and oil. On the other hand, with the hydrodynamic cavitation method, a shorter conversion time can be achieved with a high yield; however, there are few studies related to this method. Therefore, the objective of this article is to analyze information from different scientific publications to compare and visualize the parameters used to obtain biodiesel by means of a hydrodynamic cavitation reactor. For this reason, a bibliometric analysis and a systematic review based on the PRISMA method were carried out. In this sense, the relevant articles were selected from the Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar databases published between January 2018 and July 2023.Finally, the values of biodiesel yield efficiency were obtained by analyzing the different operating parameters and the different feedstock sources for its elaboration in the hydrodynamic cavitation reactors and comparing their results with international standards. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D6751 y European Committee for Standardization(EN)14214. It is concluded that hydrodynamic cavitation produces biodiesel that meets international standards and that the highest yields in biodiesel production in most studies have temperature ranges between 50 to 65°C, alcohol: oil molar ratio of 6:1, and methanol is the most used in tranasesterification.
An Evaluation of The Theory of Abuse of Rights: Between Sharia and Civil Law a Comparative and Analytical Study
Purpose: This research aims to show how Egyptian and Qatari legislators codify the “abuse of rights” theory and compare it with Islamic law. This is done to correct the defects and deficiencies in the Egyptian and Qatari legal texts. Although the Arab laws are considered among the first laws that adopted this theory, they did not establish private regulation for this theory in their legal rules. Instead, they copied French civil law, which created a conflict between Islamic jurisprudential rules and the legal texts. Methodology: This Article has been written using two methodologies to find answers to the fundamental questions raised by this Article. The first methodology analyzes the legal texts that regulate the theory of Abuse of Rights in Egyptian and Qatari laws. In contrast, the second one is based on comparing the legal texts with Islamic jurisprudential rules. Findings: In the end, we concluded that the theory of “abuse of rights” was stipulated in the Egyptian and Qatari Civil Codes, and judicial rulings established the application of this theory. However, Article (5) of the Egyptian Civil Code and Article (63) of the Qatari Civil Code do not involve this theory. On the other hand, the general texts in Mecelle have organized this theory better and more accurately. Originality: The originality of this Article lies in the fact that it analyzed the position of the Egyptian and Qatari legal texts and commented on the judicial provisions issued by the Egyptian and Qatari courts of Cassation and the Arab courts, and the opinions of civil law jurists related to “abuse of the right.” Moreover, it criticized these texts and highlighted aspects of their deficiencies in comparison with the jurisprudential rules extracted from Islamic law.
Robotic Arm Design and Control Using MATLAB/Simulink
This research focuses on leveraging the capabilities of MATLAB/Simulink and Arduino microcontrollers to develop a control system for a robotic arm intended for medical and industrial applications. The arm's structural framework consists of three motors, each connected to adjustable resistors to form a comprehensive servo motor system. By integrating these hardware components with software solutions, the study aims to create a flexible, precise, and reliable automation system. The system's position and rotational control are executed through an Arduino microcontroller, which communicates with a computer running MATLAB/Simulink software. This configuration allows for real-time data processing and system adjustments. One of the study's key contributions is the utilization of Trajectory Control techniques, which govern the arm's movements through pre-defined paths, ensuring optimal efficiency and accuracy. Furthermore, the study introduces the use of a Smoothing Function to mitigate system over-shoot, thereby enhancing control precision. The research validates its methodologies through a series of tests. Results indicate that the robotic arm successfully navigates to predetermined positions with error magnitudes as low as 2.8587, 5.7340, and 4.4406 in the A, B, and C motor axes, respectively. These outcomes demonstrate the system's potential for high-precision tasks in medical and industrial settings

The findings are as follows: Regarding the conditions of jazz music education management in Thailand’s higher education institutions, in terms of curriculum, the course offered is a four-year Bachelor of Music Program in Jazz Studies; in terms of instruction, there were qualified instructors with expertise in professional jazz, and the educational system allows students to gain knowledge and experience to the fullest extent from the faculty members and external experts; regarding educational resources, enough budgets are allocated for the purchase of educational equipment, and quality instruments and music rooms were provided; regarding measurement and evaluation, there was a measurement and evaluation system that complies with the undergraduate learning benchmarks, teaching strategies were evaluated, and student achievement was assessed according to standard criteria. Meanwhile, the problems were that some courses focused too much on classical music, learners still lacked good basic skills for jazz, the budget for organizing skills-enhancing activities was insufficient, and individual differences made group assessment difficult. Guidelines for the development of jazz music education management in Thailand’s higher education institutions. Jazz music personnel should be prepared to study the history of jazz music and understand its essence. It should be encouraged that learning content be determined, starting from the listening-memorizing-understanding-application. The inspiration and space for jazz music should be promoted in all dimensions of society, and linkages between other types of music and jazz music should be established. Jazz music should be developed based on the area, history, society, and culture of each locality. There should be an integration of what exists in society in education management personnel and agencies in the public and private sectors. As well as other related parties providing cooperation, the jazz music curriculum should be developed in accordance with the undergraduate education framework, national policy and strategy, manpower development policy of the country, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and visions and missions of each university

This study investigates the impact of job burnout on work satisfaction in Jordanian universities. Try to find a solution to in this study; a descriptive analytic method was employed to compare academic offerings at public and private institutions. A sample of 300 administrative staff members from Jordanian institutions, both public and private, was given questionnaires as the main data collection tool. The study found that the administrative staff at the university department had higher-than-average levels of occupational burnout. Poor personal achievement, physical and emotional exhaustion, negative perceptions of romantic relationships, and low personal performance were shown to be the most persistent aspects of professional burnout. The prevalence of occupational burnout was found to be higher in public universities there are no observable differences between personnel at both private and public companies with respect to of incidences of job burnout. In comparison to private institutions, employee satisfaction was lower at public universities. This study showed that in public colleges, there is no relationship between work morality and employee pleasure. However, the only aspect that affects employee satisfaction at private institutions is her poor personal performance.
Paradigm Of New Institutional Administrations in The Governance and Institutionalization of Marine Tourism in Payangan, Indonesia
Marine tourism management is not just a matter of governance per se, institutional factors also seem to have an influence, especially in traditional marine tourism management, such as in Payangan. To understand the relationship between governance and institutions in marine tourism management in Payangan, this study aims to analyze the problems in governance and institutions in Payangan, as well as to develop a conceptual model design. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with the Soft System Methodology (SSM) approach as a systemic approach to solve complex governance and institutional problems in Payangan through a series of stages. The research results indicate that the dominant problem situation in Payangan is not in its governance, but rather in its institutions, particularly in accommodating the values of the local community that have long been neglected, as they are monopolized by certain small community groups and elements of the Sumberejo Village Government who are only seeking economic gain. The monopolies of certain parties have caused the governance and institutionalization of marine tourism in Payangan to not function properly, requiring a new conceptual model of governance and institutions based on the construction of reality, social networks, and path-dependent development within the realm of the science of administration, or New Institutional Administrations (NIA), as a development and critique of the first-level institution or embeddedness proposed by Williamson, which has economic dimensions or New Institutional Economics (NIE)
