The first document, titled How to Plan and Deliver Successful Professional Development Events, is a 32-page document that offers a best practice guide for the entire process of hosting a professional development event. CTC developed this guide through combining together into one place both internal staff process documents and formal conference presentations, sharing the National CTC's know-how in managing dozens of successful professional development events. This document contains the following sections: Overall Guiding Principles; Planning and Preparing; Hosting; Wrapping It All Up; Online Events. Each section contains a variety of subsections covering different aspects of their respective topics.     This 88-page manual, from the Marine Advanced Technology Education Center, was provided to those competing in the Pioneer Class at the MATE ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) 2024 competition. Every year, the "competition challenges students to build a ROV to tackle tasks based on the real world." The competition is divided into the following competition classes: Explorer, Ranger, Pioneer, and Navigator, and Scout. These classes are "based on the level of complexity required to build the vehicle." For 2024, participants of each competition class were challenged to design and build ROVs to complete the following four tasks: OOI: Coastal Pioneer Array, SMART Cables for Ocean Observing, From the Red Sea to Tennessee, MATE Floats!This manual provides all the rules, requirements, and guidelines for teams competing in the Pioneer Class of the competition.
