    Deep Sea Dogs: Technical Report

    This 20-page report, from Allan Hancock College, describes the design and construction of the underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) created by the Deep Sea Dogs team for the Pioneer Class of the 2023 MATE ROV competition. MATE ROV is a global competition that challenges STEM students to build underwater ROVs to complete challenges. The competition is split into the following classes based on build complexity: Explorer, Ranger, Pioneer, Navigator, and Scout.The report begins with by introducing the Deep Sea Dogs, their team mission, each team group, and their ROV. Next, information is provided on the design and construction of the ROV, highlighting materials used, the ROV design, electronics, and software. Systems integration diagrams (SIDs) are included. The report then covers marketing, budget, current outreach, future outreach, and future plans and improvements.
