    Prioritizing Physical Comfort Conditions in Primary School Design: Insights from Teacher Perspectives in Algeria

    The design of primary schools has evolved gradually over time, with each period reflecting changes in specific aspects of educational and environmental needs. The current trend emphasizes the integration of computer technology into the school environment, aiming to create a space that supports both traditional and digital methods of teaching. However, in Algeria, these concerns are still not fully addressed. Instead, the focus remains on creating a physical environment that facilitates knowledge transmission and offers a more comfortable space for both students and teachers. In architectural design, achieving an optimal balance of comfort is challenging, often forcing architects to prioritize some aspects over others. Determining which form of comfort should take precedence is therefore crucial. This study aims to identify and prioritize the physical comfort conditions most essential for effective learning environments. To accomplish this, we conducted a thorough theoretical review to identify the key factors influencing physical comfort and potential disruptions to the learning process. Furthermore, we surveyed primary school teachers to rank these conditions based on their perceived importance. The findings provide valuable insights into the challenges teachers encounter in the classroom, offering a foundation for informed decision-making in future school design initiatives

    A Model for AI-Driven Employee Performance Enhancement

    Abstract: The transformation brought about by artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly altered the nature and pace of work. The AI incorporation in various sectors has significant impact on the employee performance and operational efficiency of organizations. This integration can result in improving the overall effectiveness of the employees, boost the productivity of the existing working systems, and produces outcomes that can accelerate the process of achievement of organizational goals and objectives. The adoption of these AI mediums can have significant impact for the employees if supported by management, the employees have interest and acquire skills for adoption, and if proper infrastructure is developed for its integration. By analyzing current literature and empirical data, this study offers insights into how organizations can utilize AI to improve performance while addressing challenges such as regulatory constraints and employee resistance. This study also offers insights about various organizational factors that can facilitate in successful integration of AI. Further studies can explore and assess the measures and outcomes in various organizations based on their specialties, fields of work, and employee dynamics

    LEVERAGING MACHINE LEARNING FOR RAINFALL PREDICTION IN NORTH-CENTRAL NIGERIA: COMPARATIVE ALGORITHM STUDY

    Rainfall has been a major worry in recent times because of the weather patterns that are constantly changing. The last ten years, in particular, have seen significant changes in rainfall patterns due to global warming. The principal determinants of this rainfall pattern include precipitation, dew points, wind speed, pressure, temperature, and humidity. For the purposes of agricultural growth and precise rainfall forecasting, it is essential to comprehend the relationship between these variables and rainfall behaviour. This is particularly true for the north central region of Nigeria, which is known as the country’s “food basket.” This work aims to investigate how machine learning techniques might infer precipitation patterns in north-central Nigeria. This study looked at several algorithms and evaluated how well they performed in respect to each variable that was connected to the goal variable. We also examine the performance of several machine learning methods in predicting rainfall. The outcome demonstrates the potential of the Random Forest Regression Algorithm as a flexible method for comprehending and controlling rainfall patterns. Thus, it is advised that the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) use the outcome in conjunction with the traditional NWP (Numerical Weather Prediction) method to further improve rainfall prediction. The result will help farmers optimise their planting and harvesting schedules, assist water resource managers in planning for different water usages, allow disaster management authorities to issue timely warnings, support the conservation of natural resources, and ultimately promote economic development through infrastructure planning

    Enhancing Security and Customization in IoT-Based Systems with Applications to Broiler Room Management

    Although IoT-based solutions are widely employed in various fields, they frequently rely on traditional email notifications or third-party platforms like ThingSpeak, Blynk, AWS IoT, Microsoft Azure IoT, and Google Cloud IoT for monitoring and control. These strategies do, however, have significant disadvantages, such as restricted adaptability and customization, security flaws, and privacy issues with data. In order to overcome these constraints, this work presents an improved software solution that is incorporated into an ESP32 IP address-based interface, with particular applications for managing broiler rooms. By combining IP address-based access with secure login authentication using a username and password, the suggested method makes sure that only authorized users can watch over and manage the broiler room. Significant gains in security, privacy, flexibility, and user-specific customization are shown by the experimental findings. The system is easy to install and use. It offers a reliable substitute for IoT-based systems by doing away with the need for third-party platforms. Because of its flexible nature, users can customize features to meet particular requirements, getting around the strict limitations of third-party frameworks. This system provides secure remote access with increased mobility, in contrast to email-based alternatives that lack real-time involvement. This approach adds login authentication and customization styles to the current program by integrating hardware and parts of the software from our prior system [1]. The suggested approach performs better than the prior system and other IoT-based systems that rely on third-party platforms in terms of security and customization

    Geophysical Investigation of Damped Patches on Foundational Wall: A Case Study of Jalala, Tanke-Oke-Odo, Ilorin, Nigeria

    The issue of dampness in buildings in Jalala Oke-Odo, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, poses significant concerns due to its potential to compromise both the health of occupants and the structural integrity of affected buildings. To investigate the underlying causes of this widespread problem, non-destructive geophysical methods—particularly the Electrical Resistivity Method—were employed to assess soil and subsurface conditions. This approach enabled the identification of anomalies in soil composition and the detection of subsurface water sources contributing to dampness. A key objective of the study was to produce detailed subsurface maps around building foundations, providing engineers and contractors with critical data for designing targeted interventions to mitigate damp-related issues and prevent long-term structural damage. The study underscores the serious risks associated with prolonged dampness, including the progressive weakening of foundation walls and the potential for building collapse, posing a grave threat to resident safety. Resistivity measurements revealed variations in the water retention capacity of subsurface lithology. Geoelectric cross-sections showed area with low resistivity at various depths, indicating the existence of impermeable or semi- permeable weathered rock materials, which are major contributors to persistent damp patches. Hence, this geophysical investigation offers important insights into the geological factors influencing dampness in Jalala Oke-Odo. The research serves as bases for effective remediation policies to enhance the resilience of structures and protect life. It also highlights the need for proper understanding of subsurface conditions to tackle dampness issues in developing regions

    هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن مستوى تنمية الموارد البشرية في الجامعات اليمنية من وجهة نظر القيادات الإدارية والأكاديمية، وجرى استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي المسحي، واستبانة مكوَّنة من (21) عبارةً موزعةً على (3) مجالات؛ طُبِّقت على عينةٍ عشوائيةٍ طبقية، بلغت (246) من القيادات الإدارية والأكاديمية في (6) جامعات يمنية؛ (3) حكومية، و(3) أهلية، وعولجت البيانات باستخدام البرنامج الإحصائي (SPSS)، وتوصَّل البحث إلى الآتي: حصل مستوى تنمية الموارد البشرية في الجامعات اليمنية على متوسط كلي (2.47 من5) وبدرجةٍ (ضعيفة)، لا توجد فروقٌ ذات دلالةٍ إحصائيةٍ بين متوسطات استجابات العينة؛ على مستوى المجالات الفرعية؛ تبعًا لمتغيري النوع (ذكر، أنثى)، وسنوات الخبرة، وتوجد فروقٌ ذات دلالةٍ إحصائيةٍ عند مستوى (α≤0.05) بين متوسطات استجابات العينة تُعزى لمتغير المؤهل، لصالح مؤهل (الماجستير) وتبعًا لمتغير المسمى الوظيفي لصالح وظيفة (عميد/ نائب عميد)، وتبعًا لمتغير نوع الجامعة (حكومية، أهلية)، لصالح الجامعات الأهلية، وتبعًا لمتغير الدورات التدريبية في (الإدارة الإلكترونية) لصالح فئة (5) دورات فأقل، و(10) دورات فأكثر، واستنادًا لنتائج البحث، قدَّم الباحث مجموعةً من التوصيات والمقترحات.  The research aimed to reveal the level of human resource development in Yemeni universities from the perspective of administrative and academic leadership. The descriptive-analytical method was used, along with a questionnaire consisting of (21) statements distributed across (3) fields. It was applied to a random sample of (246) participants in (6) Yemeni universities. The data was processed using SPSS.  Finally, The research concluded the following: The level of human resource development achieved an overall average of (2.47 out of 5), rated as (weak). There are no statistically significant differences between the averages of the sample’s responses at the sub-domain level based on the variables of gender and years of experience. However, there are statistically significant differences at between the averages of the sample responses attributed to the qualification variable, in favor of the master\u27s qualification, and based on the job variable, in favor of the position and based on the type of university variable, in favor of private universities. Additionally, there were statistically significant differences based on the variable of training courses (in favor of the category of five courses or fewer.     هدفت الدِرَاسَة إلى معرفة أثَر التَخطِيط الإستراتيجي بأبعَاده (التَّوجُّه الإستراتيجي، التَحلِيل الإستراتيجي، الخَيَار الإستراتيجي، الرَقَابَة وتَقيِيم الأدَاء) فِي تَحقِيق الأدَاء المُستَدَام بأبعَاده (الأدَاء الاقتِصَادِي، الأدَاء الاجتِمَاعِي، الأدَاء البِيئي) فِي مُنَظمَات المُجتَمَع المَدَنِي بوادِي مُحَافَظَة حَضرَمَوت. واعتمدت الدِرَاسَة المَنهَج الوَصفِي التَحلِيلي، وتمثل مُجتَمَع الدِرَاسَة فِي منظَّمات المُجتَمَع المَدَنِي الفاعلة فِي وادِي مُحَافَظَة حَضرَمَوت، البالغ عددها (45) مُنظَمَة، واستَخدَمت الدِرَاسَة الاستِبَانَة أدَاةً لجَمع البَيَانَات، وكانت العَيّنَة قصدية بلغت (159) مفردة، واستخدمت الدراسة برنامج (SPSS) وتوصَّلت الدراسة إلى عددٍ من النَتَائِج، أهمها: وُجُود عَلاقَة ارتِبَاطٍ طرديةٍ قويةٍ جدًا بين التَخطِيط الإستراتيجي بأبعَاده متفرقة ومُجتَمَعة والأدَاء المُستَدَام، ووُجُود أثَر للتخطيط الإستراتيجي بأبعَاده مُجتَمَعة ومتفرقة فِي تَحقِيق الأدَاء المُستَدَام، وكان بُعد التَحلِيل الإستراتيجي أكثر الأبعَاد تَأثِيرًا فِي الأدَاء المُستَدَام، وكانت أهم التوصيات: زيادة اهتمام المنظَّمات محل الدِرَاسَة بتَحسِين مُستَوى التَخطِيط الإستراتيجي، وتعزيز هذه الممَارسة، وإعطاء اهتمَام أكبر لمفهوم الأدَاء المُستَدَام.This study examined the impact of strategic planning (strategic orientation, strategic analysis, strategic choice, and performance monitoring and evaluation) on sustainable performance (economic, social, and environmental performance) in civil society organizations (CSOs) in Wadi Hadhramaut. Using a descriptive analytical approach, data was collected via questionnaires from a purposive sample of 159 individuals from 45 CSOs. The study used the SPSS Program and reached several results, most notably the existence of a very strong positive correlation was found between strategic planning (both collectively and individually) and sustainable performance. Strategic planning significantly impacted sustainable performance, with strategic analysis being the most influential dimension. The study recommends that CSOs enhance their strategic planning practices and give greater emphasis to the concept of sustainable performance

    يتناول هذا البحث دور أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي الشائعة، مثل Grammarly وHemingway، في تحسين مهارات الكتابة لدى متعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية من غير الناطقين بها. تُظهر الدراسة كيف تساهم هذه الأدوات في تحسين الكتابة من خلال تقديم ملاحظات في الوقت الفعلي تركز على المشكلات النحوية والمفردات والتماسك والوضوح اللغوي. تم إجراء مقابلات مع الطلاب ومدرسي اللغة، إلى جانب تحليل النتائج، مما أبرز التحديات والمزايا المرتبطة باستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي في تعليم الكتابة. تشير النتائج إلى أن هذه الأدوات يمكن أن تسهم في تصحيح الكتابة، وتعزيز ثقة المتعلم، وتحفيزه على المخاطرة بالتصحيح الذاتي، وتطوير مهاراته في معالجة الأخطاء. ومع ذلك، تطرقت الدراسة إلى بعض الجوانب السلبية، مثل الاعتماد المفرط على هذه الأدوات، والصعوبات التي قد تواجهها في التعامل مع التعقيدات اللغوية الدقيقة، والدقة الثقافية، والتعبيرات السياقية. بناءً على ذلك، توصي الدراسة باستخدام أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي كوسيلة داعمة للتعليم التقليدي للكتابة، وليس كبديل عنه. كما تؤكد على أهمية دمج ملاحظات الذكاء الاصطناعي في ممارسات التدريس بشكل نقدي، مع التركيز على دور المعلم في توجيه الاستخدام الفعّال لهذه الأدوات.This document addresses, using examples of popular AI tools including Grammarly and Hemingway, how such similar tools assist their use in improving non-native English learners\u27 writing through real-time feedback on grammatical, syntactical, vocabulary-related, coherence, and clarity issues. Interviews were conducted with students and language instructors and together with analysis of the results underscore several issues-both challenges and advantages being that of implementing AI in writing education. Research indicates that the tools can correct writing, improve the confidence of a learner, motivate a learner to take risks in self-correction, and foster skills in making corrections when errors appear. Negative aspects include feeding dependency and difficulties that can arise with dealing with intricate aspects of language nuances, cultural subtleties, and context-specific expressions. It is thus recommended that AI tools should support and not substitute what is going on in traditional writing instruction, thus implying the integration of AI feedback into teachers\u27 practices for personalized use, all while assuming a critical stance toward it

    هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر أبعاد جودة الخدمات المتمثلة بــ (ملموسية الطيران، وملموسية المطار، وجودة أداء الموظفين، والأمن والسلامة، والتعاطف، وصورة الشركة)، في تحقيق رضا العملاء دراسة ميدانية في شركة الخطوط الجوية اليمنية؛ باستخدام نموذج (AIRQUAL) ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، واعتمدت الاستبانة إدارة رئيسية لجمع البيانات من العينة المستهدفة، واشتمل مجتمع الدراسة على العملاء المسافرين في شركة الخطوط الجوية اليمنية، وتم اختيار عينة مكونة من (198) مسافرًا، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن المتوسط العام لتوافر أبعاد جودة الخدمات في شركة الخطوط الجوية اليمنية كان متوسطًا، كما أظهرت النتائج أن المتوسط العام لمستوى رضا العملاء كان بمستوى متوسط، وأثبتت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود أثرٍ دالٍ إحصائيًا لأبعاد جودة الخدمات في تحقيق رضا العملاء عند مستوى معنويةٍ (0.05) مع اختلاف قوة التأثير بين تلك الأبعاد، وأوصت الدراسة إلى ضرورة التحسين المستمر لجودة الخدمات عبر التقييم الدوري، وتحديد مجالات التحسين في كل بعد لزيادة مستوى رضاهم وتحسين تجربتهم مع الشركة.The study aimed to identify the impact of service quality dimensions—namely, (Airline Tangibles, Terminal Tangibles, Employee Quality, Safety and Security, Empathy, and Airline Image —on achieving customer satisfaction. This was a field study conducted on Yemenia Airways using the AIRQUAL model. To achieve the study’s objective, the researchers adopted the descriptive analytical method and utilized a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection from the target sample. The study population consisted of passengers traveling with Yemenia Airways, and a sample of (198) passengers was selected The study found that the overall mean of the availability of service quality dimensions in Yemenia Airways was moderate. Similarly, the overall level of customer satisfaction was also at a moderate level. The findings showed a statistically significant effect of the service quality dimensions on customer satisfaction at a significance level of (0.05) , with varying degrees of influence among the dimensions. The study recommended the need for continuous improvement in service quality through periodic evaluation and identification of areas for enhancement in each dimension to increase customer satisfaction and improve their experience with the airline
