MANAJEMEN KOLABORATIF-DIDAKTIF DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN KOMUNITAS PENAMBANG PASIR DI LERENG GUNUNG MERAPI: STUDI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-QADIR, SLEMAN, YOGYAKARTA
Get PDFThis research examines Pondok Pesantren Al-Qadir, located in Wukirsari, Cangkringan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, which has been providing assistance to the sand miners' community in the slopes of Mount Merapi since the 2010 eruption. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed qualitatively and descriptively using a sociological approach. The findings of this study reveal that psychological trauma and economic devastation have pushed the community to their lowest point in life. However, KH. Masrur Ahmad from PP. Al-Qadir successfully addressed these challenges by organizing the eruption victims, providing spiritual support through mujahadahan rituals, creating job opportunities, establishing a wide economic network, and offering entrepreneurship education and an understanding of government regulations. The charismatic leadership of KH. Masrur, supported by the organic solidarity of the sand miners' community, enables the realization of a long-term economic empowerment vision through a collaborative-didactic management approach. Spiritual education and organizational development are also important focal points in these efforts
Religiosity and Time Displacement: An Examination of the Effect of Social Media and Education Background on Islamic University Students’ Religiosity
Get PDFThis study explores the influence of increased social media activity on changes in conventional communication and time allocation. The excessive use of social media and its susceptibility to changes in religiosity are examined. At International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), students actively utilize social media as a means of communication and information gathering. This research aims to examine how social media usage duration and educational background among students contribute to the enhancement of religiosity. The research hypothesis is supported through statistical analysis in a quantitative approach, employing a cross-sectional online survey involving 321 IIUM students. The findings indicate a positive correlation between social media usage and Islamic religiosity among IIUM students. Consequently, these students are more inclined to access positive rather than negative content on social media. Significantly, the study found that IIUM students have a higher Islamic religiosity. The impact of social media usage among IIUM students is predominantly positive rather than negative. Furthermore, the research paper addresses the discussions and limitations and provides suggestions for further research
Traditional Pesantren, Parental Involvement, and Santri Well-being: Insights from Pesantren Sunan Pandanaran of Yogyakarta
Get PDFThe importance of student well-being in the context of positive youth development is widely acknowledged, despite little recognitions regarding what it means for santri to live well in the educational setting of traditional pesantren. “santri well-being” encompasses a dual-faceted composition, encompassing affective elements and life satisfaction of the pesantren students. A kiai or caregivers, not only acting as a prominent religious scholar and charismatic leader, but also assumes a pivotal role as a custodial figure within the contextual fabric of traditional pesantren milieu. The focal point of this research revolves around the examination of santri well-being within the context of Pesantren Sunan Pandanaran. With an educational heritage spanning half a century, it maintains a profound affiliation with Nahdlatul Ulama, the largest Islamic organization in contemporary Indonesia. Situated in Yogyakarta, the pesantren has exhibited substantial progress of education strategies over time, adopting modern innovations while upholding its traditional Sunni values and principles. The research methodology involved the purposive selection of eight informants strategically chosen in accordance with the research objectives. This cohort comprises both students and caregivers affiliated with the pesantren. The findings marked Pesantren Sunan Pandanaran’s swift adaptation to modern educational paradigms while preserving its traditional values. A complex network of parental apparatuses exists to provide care, guidance, and support to santri, encapsulating a range of individuals and roles that collectively contribute to overall well-being and development of students. This complexity is further underscored by the collective commitment of pesantren members to uphold the Sunni theology with a demand on righteous and orthodox belief. Through such dynamic caregiving approaches, the pesantren seeks to strike a balance between tradition-innovation, thus fulfilling its mission to nurture santri well-being and satisfaction within a rich Islamic Sunni tradition
Unraveling Crime Dynamics in Indonesia: Exploring the Impact of Population Density, Poverty, Average Years of Schooling (RLS), and Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Java in 2020
Get PDFAbstract: The fluctuating crime rate in Indonesia, particularly in the moderate category, highlights the intricate interplay of various factors influencing criminal activities. This research endeavors to uncover the correlations among different variables contributing to crime by utilizing a cross-sectional approach based on secondary data sourced from the 2021 BPS data. The study discerns a positive correlation between population density and the open unemployment rate (TPT) in relation to crime. Conversely, poverty and the average years of schooling (RLS) exhibit a relatively minor impact. During the examination of these relationships, it became evident that the population density variable exerts both direct and indirect influences on crime.
The indirect connection is established through the impact of population density on the poverty rate, which subsequently exerts a positive and direct influence on crime. Consequently, it is apparent that population density stands out as the predominant factor influencing the crime rate on Java Island. To address this, interventions targeting the decomposition of population density are essential, particularly through initiatives aimed at fostering increased solidarity. This is imperative because the correlation between population density and poverty, contributing to an escalation in crime, results in a decline in individual trust levels, fostering competition for resource access. This heightened competition, in turn, precipitates struggles that contribute to the emergence of criminal activities.

Abstrak: Penurunan tingkat kriminalitas di Indonesia yang fluktuatif dengan jumlah kriminalitas dalam kategori sedang mencerminkan keragaman faktor yang mendeterminasi tindakan kejahatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan hubungan antar varibel yang mempengaruhi tindakan kriminalitas dengan menggunakan cross sectional terhadap sumber data sekunder yang diperoleh dari data BPS 2021. Penelitian ini menemukan hubungan positif antara kepadatan penduduk dan tingkat pengangguran terbuka (TPT) terhadap kriminalitas. Sedangkan kemiskinan dan rata-rata lama sekolah (RLS) berpengaruh kecil. Dalam proses pengujian hubungan ditemukan variabel kepadatan penduduk memiliki pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung terhadap kriminalitas. Hubungan tidak langsung ditemukan melalui pengaruh kepadatan penduduk terhadap tingkat kemiskinan yang berpengaruh positif dan langsung terhadap kriminalitas, sehingga varibel dominan yang mempengaruhi tingkat kejahatan di Pulau Jawa bersumber dari kepadatan penduduk. Intervensi yang dibutuhkan dalam penguraian kepadatan penduduk diperlukan melalui peningkatan solidaritas. Hal ini disebabkan hubungan kepadatan penduduk terhadap kemiskinan yang menyebabkan peningkatan kejahatan berdampak pada pengurangan tingkat kepercayaan individu yang menjadi pendorong persaingan terhadap akses sumber daya. Persaingan ini pada akhirnya memunculkan perebutan yang memunculkan beragama tindakan kriminalitas.

Aligning Social and Environmental Responsibility Policies Based on Creating Shared Value Concept: A Case Study at PT Petrokimia Gresik
Get PDFThis study investigates how companies can achieve a balance between economic profit and social/environmental responsibility through the Creating Shared Value (CSV) approach. PT Petrokimia Gresik serves as the subject of the research, analyzing its Social and Environmental Responsibility programs within the context of CSV. The research method employed an exploratory case study with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and a review of documents related to the implementation of Social and Environmental Responsibility programs in the company. Respondents, including internal company stakeholders, participated in interviews and FGDs. The findings revealed deficiencies in the formulation of Social and Environmental Responsibility programs, hindering alignment with the CSV concept. However, six existing programs have moved toward the CSV concept by providing economic and social/environmental benefits, aligning with the company's short- and long-term strategies. These findings underscore the importance of adjusting company policies to be more integrated with CSV principles to achieve more optimal success in fulfilling social and environmental responsibilities while obtaining economic gains.

Studi ini menyelidiki bagaimana perusahaan dapat mencapai keseimbangan antara keuntungan ekonomi dan tanggung jawab sosial/lingkungan melalui pendekatan Creating Shared Value (CSV). PT Petrokimia Gresik menjadi subjek penelitian yang menganalisis program-program Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan dalam konteks CSV. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi kasus eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), dan tinjauan dokumen terkait pelaksanaan program-program Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan di perusahaan. Responden, termasuk pihak internal perusahaan, terlibat dalam wawancara dan FGD. Temuan menunjukkan kekurangan dalam penyusunan program Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan, yang menghambat keselarasan dengan konsep CSV. Namun, enam program yang ada telah menuju konsep CSV dengan memberikan manfaat ekonomi dan sosial/lingkungan, sejalan dengan strategi jangka pendek dan panjang perusahaan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penyesuaian kebijakan perusahaan agar lebih terintegrasi dengan prinsip-prinsip CSV guna mencapai kesuksesan yang lebih optimal dalam memenuhi tanggung jawab sosial dan lingkungan sambil memperoleh keuntungan ekonomi.

ENHANCING COMMUNITY RELIGIOSITY THROUGH EFFECTIVE RELIGIOUS OUTREACH: Optimizing Da'wah Strategies of Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) in Sintang
Get PDFDa'wah is an inviting activity carried out by da'i to mad'u. The Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) of Sintang Regency has implemented a da'wah strategy deeply rooted in the philosophy of da'wah to enhance community religiosity, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. In fulfilling its role as a guiding organization aimed at nurturing a generation with noble character, MUI Sintang collaborates with Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) to broadcast its da'wah messages. Radio is chosen as a medium because it is accessible to all segments of society, especially in rural areas where other forms of communication may be limited due to poor signal reception. The da'wah efforts by MUI Sintang are carefully designed to ensure that every element of the da'wah process is considered, with the ultimate goal of making the da'wah message acceptable, understandable, and impactful in changing the thoughts and behaviors of the mad'u. Between Profit and Quality; A Challenge of Indonesian Cinema
Get PDFHorror is one of the most popular film genres, particularly among Indonesians. One of the reasons the Indonesian people love watching a horror movie is because of the sensation of a jump scare. Thus, the number of horror film watchers in Indonesia continues to grow. This condition may aid Indonesian film production, as practically everyone enjoys horror. However, it is also problematic because Indonesian film has struggled to enhance its quality. Thus, the author's objective in this study is to analyse the dilemma confronting Indonesian cinema: the trade-off between profit and quality. To assist the author in doing this analysis, Film Production Management from Bastian Cleve is applied. The findings of this study reveal that Indonesian film production faces particular challenges that must be overcome. Indonesian cinema should prioritize quality above immediate profit as improving the quality of a film can result in a higher profit. Thus, the courage to develop and compete is critical to overcome those challenges

The mass media are increasingly providing space for news reports on diffable issues. Including in the implementation of the 2019 presidential election. Efforts to support the implementation of inclusive elections continue to be increased. The mass media have a big contribution to guard support for people with disabilities. This research focuses on analyzing the news of people with disabilities in the 2019 Presidential Election at kompas.com. This research aims to examine what is the content of news about people with disabilities from the campaign period until the 2019 Presidential Election. In addition, this article is expected to be able to support disability-friendly media in the 2024 General Election The method used is to collect news about people with disabilities related to the 2019 Presidential Election which is published on kompas.com. Researchers hope that efforts to realize inclusive elections will continue to be improved as a step to fulfill the rights of people with disabilities.
Orang difabel perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus bukan belas kasihan. Mereka memiliki kemampuan sendiri jika benar-benar dimaksimalkan pendampingannya. Sejak tahun 1992, Perserikatan Bangsa-bangsa (PBB) menetapkan setiap 3 Desember diperingati sebagai Hari Disabilitas Internasional. Sedikit demi sedikit kepedulian dan perhatian kepada permasalahan yang dihadapi difabel semakin meningkat. Berbagai akses makin serbuka. Salah satu bentuk perhatian yaitu melalui pemberitaan. Media massa semakin memberikan ruang untuk pemberitaan-pemberitaan isu difabel. Termasuk di dalam pelaksanaan pemilihan presiden 2019 lalu. Upaya-upaya mendukung pelaksaanaan pemilu inklusif terus ditingkatkan. Media massa punya kontribusi besar untuk mengawal dukungan kepada para difabel. Penelitian ini fokus analisis pemberitaan difabel dalam Pilpres 2019 di kompas.com. Riset ini bertujuan mengkaji apa saja isi berita tentang difabel sejak masa kampanye sampai menjelang Pilpres 2019. Selain itu, artikel ini diharapkan bisa ikut mendukung media ramah penyandang disabilitas pada Pemilu tahun 2024. DEVELOPMENT OF GRAPH-BASED CYBER COUNSELING MODEL WITH WEB-BASED APPLICATION PLATFORM
Get PDFRecently, almost everyone interacts with screen-focused technology. One of the forms of interaction with information technology is the use of smartphones. Smartphone is an object that is always close to someone. Due to this technology use, the application of counseling is increasing when it is associated with certain needs. counseling was once conducted in traditional way for quite long time. However, it is now mostly done virtually. Besides being able to be implemented in a remote context, counseling with a virtual platform is easier, more flexible, and can be done anywhere. The weakness that exists in virtual counseling is that it tends to be uncontrolled when viewed from the interaction pattern. Thus, the purpose of this study is to describe the pattern of interaction between counselors and counselees in virtual counseling services. The virtual counseling is run on a web application platform. The flow of communication and interaction is described by lines as segments. The final result shows that the interaction in cyber counseling services is relatively high. Another finding is the reaction made by the counselees that can successfully be identified, namely the counselee who is open and closed when expressing their problems to the counselor. CYBER COUNSELING: MEDIA & SOLUSI LAYANAN KONSELING DI TENGAH PANDEMI COVID-19
Get PDFInformation and communication technology is developing rapidly in the era of globalization. Online media and sites are often used as tools to carry out a job, especially in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, psychological complaints are increasing, so this cyber counseling service can be a solution related to these psychological problems. This study was conducted to determine the use of cyber counseling in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic, as well as the media it uses. The method used in this research is literature study. The results of the study show that cyber counseling services can be a solution or alternative for counseling during the COVID-19 pandemic which requires us to reduce direct interactions. With cyber counseling, counselees do not need to meet face to face to get counseling services but can easily access counseling services using currently available online media. Cyber counseling uses virtual media such as chat, video conferencing, websites, or applications in conducting the counseling process.
