    Improving Learning Outcomes of Islamic Religious Education for Elementary School Students with the Application of the Talking Stick Learning Model

    This study aims to analyse the improvement of Islamic religious education learning outcomes for elementary school students by applying the Talking Stick learning model. A Achieving the target of learning is the main goal of an educator to his students. In fact, there are not a few educators who have not fully implemented how to learn effective and fun and still stick only with classical methods. There are quite a few choices of learning models, one of which is the Talking Stick. This research was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review method which was carried out by reviewing, analysing, and drawing conclusions based on relevant articles that were screened and selected systematically. In this study, we will discuss efforts to improve elementary school student learning outcomes by applying the Talking Stick learning model. Learning outcomes by applying the Talking Stick learning model, namely, the experimental class with the Talking Stick model immediately showed significant differences in learning outcomes in the first cycle compared to before the implementation of Talking Stick. Several other studies on the implementation of the Talking Stick model were carried out for 2 to 3 cycles and then there was a significant difference in results from before the implementation of the Talking Stick learning model

    Subuh Mubarokah in Formation of Academic Culture at University

    Academic Culture is the habituation that can characterize an institution in college; good quality culture ensures the development of proper academic services. Technology advancement that threatens morality and academic culture must be anticipated with spiritually nuanced programs like the Subuh Mubarokahh program. As with any program, evaluation must be carried out. This research aims to evaluate behavior change and the benefits of academic culture activities. This is descriptive quantitative non-associative research, with a questionnaire as the instrument; participants included 43 lecturers and 504 students from Padang State University's Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality. According to the research results, the benefits of improving personal qualities that encourage the quality of faith and pious deeds as a Muslim are very high, and the development of a quality academic culture of kriya, ruhiyah, and badaniyah from personal lecturers and students. The program evaluation recommends that the Subuh mubarokah always be carried out by developing studies that align with the needs of lecturers and students to ensure the program's benefits in the realization of an academic culture that becomes the self-image of a quality institution

    Students Questioning Skills in the Learning Process with Content Mastery Techniques at Islamic Boarding School

    The positive impact of questioning skills is quite large on the learning process and student learning outcomes. Low questioning skills can cause students to hesitate when asking questions, thus forgetting the main idea of the question to be conveyed it affects effective learning in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to compare the difference in pretest scores before and post-test after participating in content mastery services. The research method used is quantitative using a Pre-Experiment design with One Group Pretest-Post-test Design. The subjects of this study were 36 students at Ponpes Perkampungan Minangkabau Padang. Determination of the subject of this study using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a self-assessing skill scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the data analysis stated that there was a significant difference in scores on the pretest and post-tests of students' questioning skills after participating in the content mastery service. Thus, content mastery services are effective in improving students' questioning skills

    Islamic Religious Education Teacher's Strategy in Forming Students' Religious Character

    Character education values such as discipline, honesty and responsibility need strengthening in their implementation at this time. We can see this in how the youth behave. For example, many students violate school rules, do not do their assignments, cheat, or even skip classes for no reason. These things can apparently arise due to the loss of religious character in students. The aim of this study is to describe the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping the religious character of students and their supporting and inhibiting factors. This method of research is qualitative research. This research uses a field research approach, namely from the process, if the activities at SMPN 3 pages in the Islamic Religious Education strategy program in Shaping Students' Religious Character. Researchers used purposive sampling techniques to select informants, and to collect data, researchers used observation, interviews, and documentation. For the data validity, researchers use triangulation and data analysis, which is then processed and arranged systematically so that it can be interpreted and produce something in the form of thoughts, theories, opinions, or even new ideas. The results showed that this strategy has not been fully successful because there are many obstacles. Almost everything is limited and not all programs can run efficiently

    Evaluation on the Policy of Using the E-Learning System with Fully Online in the Pandemic-Covid-19 Period

    The use of e-learning platforms during the Covid-19 pandemic and in the context of facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is a must in almost all levels of education, especially in universities. Many efforts have been made and implemented in order to apply these demands, for example by developing applications that are expected to help organize the digital learning process. The method used in obtaining information is a quantitative method using an instrument, namely a questionnaire (distribution of questionnaires) through the Google form application. The subjects in this study were UNP students in the Fundamentals of Education course in the July-December 2020 semester. Based on the research results, information was obtained regarding the policy evaluation of the use of a full online (online) e-learning system that could be categorized as good and effective, but it needs to be improved in several parts, for example: effectiveness, content, interaction patterns, understanding of the material, network access, large/expensive data packets when using video conference collaborating with the platform e-learning. The element of effectiveness/efficiency of online learning as many as 23.5% of respondents considered it less effective / efficient, meaning that there were still gaps in the fully online policy implemented by universities in this case, namely UNP

    Islamic Education Model for Muallaf (Converts) through a Participatory Approach

    The purpose of this research is to develop a model of Islamic religion studies for converts by using a participatory approach. This is intended to provide an understanding that converts need directions and guidances. It is not only in order to deepen understanding or increase confidence, but also concerns about their existence as converts. Based on the interviews conducted, it is known that converts need a forum as a place to continue in understanding the religion of Islam. Thus, the development of a model of Islamic studies education for converts is very urgent to do. This study used a qualitative research method by using a descriptive analysis approach. The results showed that the model of converting to Islam which was developed in a participatory approach was adapted to the needs of converts themselves. In this case, the researcher designs the needs of converts by translating and describing the expressions of converts into a framework to become an educational model

    The Values of Character Education in Sufism (A Case Study on Tarekat Naqsabandiyah-Khalidiyah Followers in Banyumas, Central Java, Indonesia)

    In now days, character is to be something very important in a technological era. If the materialistic advantages and benefits obtained from the advancement of the industrial era are not followed by the adequacy of immaterial factors, it will certainly bring about chaos in personal and social lives. Furthermore, the impact of the two sides disharmony will at least trigger three things. First, moral decline in community,  second, the decreasing sense of togetherness and unity, third, interpersonal interaction has changed. So, human being needs identity and character in order to not experience disorientation in life. This paper aims to  describe the characteristics of the disciples of Tarekat Naqsabandiyah-Kholidiyah in central Java, Indonesia and to analyze how the values of character education formed within the disciples of Tarekat Naqsabandiyah Khalidiyah. The methods used in collecting data were in depth interview, observation, and documentation. Having collected, they would be analyzed by steps like collecting, reduction, displaying data and drawing conclusion. The result showed internalization of the values were performed by integrated ways which combined either internal or external factors. Internal  factors was started by pure motivation  in each disciples’ inner heart. The external factor consisted of family, tarekat teaching, mursyid model, and jama’ah. The educational character along with the jama’ah tarekat can be categorized into  three major characters namely; wisdom, keep avoiding the bad deed, and courage. These characters are also contained in educational character, and the most important thing is how the formal education can imitate the method used  in building that characte

    This study focuses on the concept of ideal women according to Minangkabau philosophy. The criteria of the ideal women can be found in proverbs containing implicit meaning related to ethical values, namely the view about women's ideal morality. The interpretation can be comprehended from its function and purposes as a concept of moral and character education for the Minangkabau young generation. The study toward the character education for Minangkabau women is based on the interpretation meaning from the concept of Minangkabau ideal women became the basis fine art creative idea resulting in the icon of personal expression. This artwork was materialized into the painting symbolic expression/abstraction by borrowing the traditional idiom "Tangkuluak (Tekuluk)" a kind of Bundo Kanduang's formal outfit in the form of headgear as the traditional symbol of Minangkabau custom. The creation of this symbolic expression painting aims to preserve Minangkabau aesthetics through the materialization of paintings that takes the specific theme, Bundo Kanduang as the ideal woman of Minangkabau people. This study used a qualitative method presented in the form of descriptive analysis. Data were collected through interviews and observation.  They had emic characteristics performed in the Centre of Minangkabau Cultural Information (in Indonesia called PDIKM) in Padangpanjang and Adityawarman Museum in Padang, West Sumatra. Meanwhile, ethic research was conducted with qualitative method, namely studying the theoretical claim and interpreting the meaning of proverbs about the nobility of Bundo Kanduang

    Women’s Language Used in ‘Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn’ movie

    The purpose of this study is to analyze the major features of women’s language used by the female characters in “Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn†movie. This study investigates the types of women speech features found in the movie. A qualitative approach employing a content analysis method was used in this study. The data were taken from female characters’ utterances. The data were then identified and analyzed based on the classifications of women’s speech features proposed by Lakoff (1975). Findings of this study indicate that six of the features are used by the female characters: lexical hedges/fillers, empty adjectives, tag questions, super polite forms, avoiding strong words, and emphatic stress. Rising intonation, precise color terms, intensifiers, and hypercorrect grammar have not been found in the current research data

    STEM-Based E-Module Integrated Local Wisdom of Rice Stem Fertilizers on Students' Critical and Creative Thinking

    Several studies have acknowledged that using E-Modules can support the thinking and creative abilities of students to be able to learn independently and can also repeat lessons independently whenever students want. The e-module provided also contains about the sustainability of the Minangkabau custom that almost no one plays the traditional instrument, namely the rice stalk pupuik. Where is the rice stem fertilizer originating from the Payukumbuh, Lima Puluh Kota, West Sumatra. This one musical instrument is a musical instrument that has many characteristics in playing it, which has many meanings for each playing technique. This rice stem pupuik musical instrument was explained in the material of mechanical waves and sound waves from class 12 material. The game technique owned by the rice stem pupuik or the shrill sound emitted by the rice stem pupuik, was explained in learning about sound waves. From this, students will be made to think critically and creatively in finding out about the lessons of mechanical waves and sound waves which are owned by the rice stem pupuik musical instrument. The products provided in this study are very different from the E-Modules that have been made by previous researchers, namely the E-modules integrated with local wisdom of rice stem fertilizers originating from West Sumatra
