The Effect of Suppleness And Agility on The Side Kick Ability of Pencak Silat Athletes
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the direct and indirect effects between simultaneous flexibility on the ability of side kicks through agility in Pencak Silat athletes. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using the Path Analysis approach. The sample of this study is 25 West Sumatra pencak silat athletes. This study uses a data analysis technique with a Path Analysis approach. Based on the findings and discussions, it can be concluded that: 1) There is a significant direct influence of flexibility on the side kick ability of pencak silat athletes, 2) There is a direct and significant influence of agility on the side kick ability of pencak silat athletes, 3) There is an indirect influence of flexibility on the side kick ability through the agility of pencak silat athletes and 4) There is a significant influence between flexibility and agility simultaneously to the side kick ability of pencak silat athletes
Profil Berfikir Relasional Siswa SMA dalam Menyelesaikan Masalah Matematika berdasarkan Perbedaan Gender
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil berpikir relasional siswa SMA Negeri 3 Surabaya dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika berdasarkan perbedaan gender. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksploratif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu siswa laki-laki dengan karakter maskulin dan satu siswa perempuan dengan karakter feminin, keduanya memiliki kemampuan matematika yang tinggi dan setara. Data dikumpulkan melalui pemberian tugas dan wawancara yang dilakukan sebanyak dua kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan cara berpikir antara subjek laki-laki maskulin dan perempuan feminin pada tahap memahami masalah. Perbedaannya, siswa laki-laki cenderung menyarikan informasi secara singkat dan garis besar, sedangkan siswa perempuan memberikan detail yang lebih mendalam. Kedua subjek juga membangun keterkaitan antara unsur yang diketahui dengan yang tidak diketahui. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan cara berpikir relasional antara siswa laki-laki maskulin dan perempuan feminin dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Siswa laki-laki maskulin lebih cenderung memberikan jawaban singkat dan fokus pada aspek teknis, sedangkan siswa perempuan feminin memberikan penjelasan yang lebih detail dengan fokus pada konteks praktis masalah yang dihadapi
Pengembangan E-book Kalkulus Integral Berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) Berbantuan Aplikasi Flip Pdf Corporate
Get PDFProject based learning (PjBL) pada mata kuliah kalkulus integral dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk mengetahui penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, namun model PjBL masih jarang digunakan dalam kelas, salah satu faktornya adalah kurangnya referensi buku yang bisa digunakan oleh mahasiswa dan dosen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book kalkulus integral berbasis PjBL berbantuan flip PDF Corporate yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif agar dosen dapat mengakses e-book secara online. Subjek penelitian yaitu 22 mahasiswa semester 3 pendidikan matematika. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menilai efektivitas e-book yaitu nilai hasil proyek mahasiswa, instrumen yang digunakan untuk menilai keabsahan e-book menggunakan lembar validasi ahli, sedangkan angkat kepraktisan untuk menilai kepraktisan e-book yang dikembangkan. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian R&D dengan model 4D. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa: 1) e-book kalkulus integral memenuhi kriteria valid dengan nilai validitas 81,57%; 2) nilai kepraktisan sebesar 82,45% yang menunjukkan bahwa e-book yang dikembangkan masuk kategori sangat praktis; dan 3) ketuntasan nilai mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan proyek sebesar 80,59% yang menunjukan bahwa e-book yang dikembangkan masuk kategori efektif sehingga mahasiswa dapat menggunakan e-book dalam menyelesaikan proyek dengan sangat baik. TEACHING WRITING RECOUNT TEXT BY USING A TOPICAL APPROACH TO THE EIGHTH-GRADE STUDENTS’ STATE OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL NUMBER 42 OF PALEMBANG
Get PDFThis research evaluates the effectiveness of a topical approach in teaching recount text writing to eighth-grade students at State of Junior High School number 42 of Palembang. Employing a quantitative pre-experimental design, the study sampled 34 students who underwent pre-tests and post-tests to measure their writing abilities. The findings indicated a significant improvement in the students' writing skills after using the topical approach. The average pre-test score was 52.5, with scores ranging from 31 to 68.5. After the intervention, the average post-test score increased to 75.7, with a range from 53 to 92.5. The t-test analysis revealed a t-obtained value of 13.31, surpassing the critical value of 1.692, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. During the pre-test, students struggled with idea generation and grammatical accuracy. Post-intervention results showed that students became more adept at generating ideas, using correct grammar, narrating experiences, and expanding their vocabulary. Thus, the topical approach proved effective in enhancing recount text writing skills among the eighth grade State of Junior High School Number 42 of Palembang
STUDENT’S INSIGHT INTO THE USE OF E-PORTFOLIOS FOR A REFLECTIVE PRACTICE PROJECT
Get PDFIn the digital age, the integration of technology in education has transformed how students submit assignments, with e-portfolios emerging as a dynamic platform. E-portfolios offer students a personalized digital space to document their learning progress, showcase achievements, and engage in reflective practice. This study explores the perceptions of English student teachers regarding the use of e-portfolios in a reflective practice project. Utilizing a qualitative approach, both questionnaires and interview data were collected with 14 students. The findings reveal that students perceive e-portfolios as beneficial for tracking their growth, visualizing progress, and supporting reflective learning. Despite these benefits, challenges such as technical difficulties and time constraints were also noted. The study highlights the significance of e-portfolios as an alternative assessment tool and emphasizes their role in enhancing self-reflection and professional growth. However, addressing technical issues and time management is crucial for maximizing the potential of e-portfolios in education
USING GUESS THE WORD GAME IN ENHANCING THE SPEAKING ABILITY OF SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS AT STATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL NUMBER 30 PALEMBANG
Get PDFThis research investigates the impact of the Guess the Word Game on improving the speaking proficiency of seventh-grade students at Junior High School 30. Palembang employed a singular class in an experimental design. The class utilized the Guess the Word game as the principal instructional method to enhance students' speaking abilities. Pre-test and post-test evaluations were administered to examine the pupils' advancement in speaking proficiency. The results indicated a significant enhancement in students' speaking skills following their participation in the game, demonstrating that the inclusion of interactive activities such as the Guess the Word Game can serve as an effective approach for improving student engagement and language competency. This study indicates that game-based learning may serve as an innovative approach to enhance speaking skills in educational environments
LEARNERS' PERSPECTIVES ON USING THE FORVO WEBSITE AS A STRATEGY TO ENHANCE SPEAKING SKILLS
Get PDFThis qualitative case study investigated learners’ perspectives on using the Forvo website to enhance their English-speaking skills within an online Discord community, "The English Hub." Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and textual analysis of Discord conversations. Inductive thematic analysis revealed that students perceived Forvo as a valuable tool, aligning with Previous Research, Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory and TELL principles. Forvo facilitated social interaction, provided access to native speaker pronunciations (MKOs), and served as a cultural tool, promoting pronunciation improvement, confidence building, and vocabulary acquisition. Students reported significant improvements in their speaking skills, particularly in pronunciation, accent reduction, and fluency. Forvo effectively complemented traditional learning methods, offering authentic pronunciation models, a supportive online community, and a user-friendly interface. ANALYSIS OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN INCREASING STUDENTS’ LEARNING MOTIVATION IN ENGLISH AT SMP NEGERI 3 GUNUNGSITOLI ALO’OA
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the classroom management strategies applied by the English teachers in the eighth grade at SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli Alo'oa in increasing student learning motivation, as well as to assess the outcomes of these strategies. The research method employed is qualitative with a descriptive methodology, involving data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the classroom management strategies applied including seating arrangements, varied teaching methods, and the provision of positive feedback significantly contribute to enhancing student learning motivation. Appropriate physical classroom arrangements that align with student characteristics, along with the use of diverse teaching methods such as group discussions and give praise, have proven effective in maintaining student engagement and interest. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of structured classroom management, flexibility in teaching methods, and the application of positive feedback in creating a supportive learning environment that boosts student motivation. THE CORRELATION AMONG WRITING INTEREST, LANGUAGE LEARNING STRATEGIES, AND PARAGRAPH WRITING ACHIEVEMENT
Get PDFThis research aims to determine the existence of a substantial association between language learning methodologies, writing interest, and paragraph writing achievement. The employed methodology was descriptive, and the design was correlational in nature. Forty-one students from STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam were selected as the samples for this research. Two types of surveys and a paragraph writing achievement exam were conducted to gather the data. The research findings indicated that (a) a significant correlation existed between language learning strategies and paragraph writing achievement, (b) a significant correlation was found between writing interest and paragraph writing achievement, (c) a significant correlation was observed among language learning strategies, writing interest, and paragraph writing achievement, and (d) no significant correlation was identified between language learning strategies and writing interest. The finding indicates that language learning strategies and writing interest significantly correlate with the enhancement of paragraph writing achievement among sixth-semester students in the English education study program at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam

Get PDFMakrame adalah seni tekstil berbasis teknik simpul yang menghasilkan pola dan bentuk yang beragam, seperti simpul pipih, kordon, dan simpul rantai. Sebagai salah satu teknik tekstil tertua di dunia, istilah "makrame" berasal dari bahasa Arab miqramah, yang berarti hiasan pinggiran kain. Awalnya digunakan oleh pedagang Arab untuk menghias kain, teknik ini kemudian berkembang menjadi seni yang lebih terstruktur. Pembuatan makrame umumnya menggunakan benang katun, yang berasal dari serat kapas. Katun dipilih karena memiliki struktur yang mudah diwarnai, tekstur lembut, serta kemampuan menyerap keringat, menjadikannya nyaman untuk digunakan. Dalam konteks produksi tekstil dan busana, kombinasi material katun dengan teknik struktur makrame menciptakan berbagai produk fungsional dan dekoratif, seperti tas, dompet, aksesori, elemen fesyen, dan penghias interior. Pelatihan pembuatan makrame yang dilakukan bersama guru dan orang tua murid PAUD Bambim Baitul Muttaqien di Kecamatan Bojongloa Kidul, Bandung, bertujuan membangun keterampilan praktis untuk mendorong semangat kewirausahaan. Metode pelatihan mencakup penyampaian materi dasar tentang makrame melalui presentasi dan diskusi, diikuti dengan praktik teknik simpul sebagai dasar untuk menciptakan produk makrame
