Enterprise Digital Transformation: A Study of Success Factors

    No full text
Digital transformation (DT) has been recognized as a driver of enterprise performance, enabling organizations to enhance operational efficiency, foster innovation, and maintain competitive advantage. This study aims to identify success factors of DT initiatives by examining organizational digital readiness, digital value mapping, and implementation tactics. The empirical study involved data collection at two points in time: in 2022, prior to the widespread popularity of generative AI (genAI) such as ChatGPT, and in 2024, amid genAI\u27s integration into business practices. This study, therefore, offers timely insights into how organizations navigate the evolving landscape of digital transformation

Exploring the Role of AI and Educators in Shaping Student Creativity

Art plays a vital role in personal expression and social innovation, yet as our students progress through the increasingly digital educational system, their creative confidence often diminishes due to external pressures such as peer comparison, time constraints, and the rise of artificial intelligence (AI). As students progressively engage with new technology that can generate creative outputs, it raises questions about the authenticity of their work and the role of human creativity in regards to originality. This study examines how the pressure to be original intersects with creativity and the impact of AI on students\u27 artistic expression. The aim is to understand the impact of AI on students’ creativity, especially in relation to the stress of maintaining originality, and to offer strategies for educators

Stigma by Association- The Social Consequences of Poor Delegation for Followers

    No full text
Drawing on stigma theory, we examine how poor delegation quality affects followers\u27 social outcomes. Study 1 (N=246 leader-follower dyads) shows poor delegation significantly reduces trust in leader, which mediates the relationship with followers\u27 perceived ostracism. The significant indirect effect reveals that followers with reduced trust become stigmatized by association—others distance themselves from followers under poorly delegating leaders, creating social costs beyond the dyad. Study 2 (planned) will apply social learning theory to investigate whether leaders develop awareness of their poor delegation quality through observing follower ostracism patterns, completing a feedback loop. Findings highlight delegation\u27s hidden social consequences

There and Back Again : an Archives Story

    No full text
UNK Archives and Special Collections has been required to pack and move their holdings no fewer than four times in the past two and a half years. In late 2022, work began to pack and move the holdings of UNK’s Archives and Special Collections in advance of a 2-year multi-phase renovation of the Library building. Organization was maintained via a carefully curated numbering system and associated spreadsheet. Access was challenging throughout and reference services significantly limited while collections were in temporary storage. The collection returned to the partially renovated archival stacks in late 2023. Unfortunately, problems were immediately apparent. A reduced stacks footprint, inadequate shelving, and physical construction that took a further ten months to complete required a complete redesign of the updated space. New shelving was purchased after several months of vendor consultations, necessitating a third and fourth coordinated move in early spring 2025 as the storage space was cleared, prepared and “reloaded”. This presentation will discuss the multiple planning, packing, transfer and storage phases, and provide practical suggestions that others may benefit from should they embark on similar projects
