Evaluation of Social Media in Digital Supply Chain Management
In the past few years, many economies implement a social media-based digital supply chain management application for improving performance. However, there is problem regrading e-participation because of low level of participation by the public. The solution for improving public e-participation is by make a media for public do the e-participation, the media is social media-based digital supply chain management application. In fact, when a economy already implement the application, the participation is low. The purpose of this research is to identify factors that affecting behavior intention of public for do the e-participation using social media-based digital supply chain management application. In this research there are 203 social media-based digital supply chain management application users in Special Capital Region of Jakarta (Jakarta Aman application) that becoming research subject for evaluating the application for future development or references for other economy. The methodology approach for this study is based on combining many models such as Delon and McLean’s IS Success Model and TPB as the main model. Also combining external factors from existing studies that affecting attitude toward using the application. This paper can become references and contributing for making reader to understand more regrading people behavior for adopting social media-based digital supply chain management application to engage in e-participation. Social media can be an invaluable tool for supply chain professionals looking to identify new innovations, understand commodity and pricing trends, capture best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders, peers, and suppliers
A Moderated Mediation Model of Lean, Agile, Resilient, and Green Paradigms in the Supply Chain
Abstract— Theorizing and moderated mediation analysis enables supply chain management scholars and practitioners to extend the boundaries of our present knowledge by examining how, when, and why lean, agile, resilient, and green association to capabilities, sustainability, and performance occur. However, only a limited number of studies have addressed this issue because of the complexities associated with their execution. In this article, we provide primary data on capabilities, sustainability, and performance in the supply chain contexts of a detailed model. Also, a widespread review of the literature was presented to motivate the underlying measures associated with the supply chain management paradigms, supply chain capability, sustainability, and performance used to create the study model. This review and subsequent model are intended to support future theoretical and practical investigations of supply chain management paradigms across complex and comprehensive relationships
Driven Factors to Sustainable Paddy Farming Production in Malaysia
As the organic food is rising in demand, there are several issues associated with its supply chain capabilities that deserve attention. These include the inadequate supply and increasing cost of rice production. The farmers play a significant role to ensure that the supply of organic products meets the demand of the market, hence understanding the motivation for their practices is crucial. This study explores the driving factors for farmers in sustainable paddy farming in Malaysia. The research is exploratory in nature, using interview and observation approaches. Three sustainability factors are focused in this study; namely the economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The results indicate that early exposure and knowledge, education and experience in sustainable agriculture are the driving force behind shifting attitudes towards sustainable agriculture and sustaining practices. The results of this study are expected to give awareness and motivate the farmers to embark on the alternative practices to sustainable rice cultivation, and also potentially help to optimize the abandoned land for productive farming in the rural area
A Study of Supply Chain Management for Preliminary Destination Brand Experience in North Sumatera, Indonesia
The development of tourism places is getting more attention in current era especially Lake Toba, North Sumatera, Indonesia. It aims to attracts many tourists. As one way to differentiate the identity of a product or service is by the brand. The brand experience emerges as an essential and effective in management and marketing. Thus, this study consider the brand experience as a factor in market competition. In conjuction with the issue, this study aims to identify the supply chain management for preliminary destination brand experience In North Sumatera, Indonesia. This quantitative study designed using the library, literature reviews and others relevance source. The data analyzed using the Matrix Strategic Position and Action Evaluation (SPACE). The results of the analysis found that the environmental stability of Lake Toba as tourism area categorized as medium position. Also, using the inelastic dimension of environmental stability (pricing), we found that the Lake Toba is still a tourist choice. In addition, the experience as the value of excellence to increase the tourist satisfaction
The Nexus of Local Government Involvement and Marine Sustainable Ecotourism Development: Mediating Role of Supply Chain Management
Three sub-districts of Minneapolis Sidoarjo regency, which are Sedati, Candi, and Jabon are not only had superior fishery products, but it also has a potential area to be a highly prospective marine ecotourism. This quantitative research aims to analyze the public relations mix of Sidoarjo Regency, empowerment, community participation, supply chain management and sustainable marine ecotourism development. The research data is conducted by distributing questionnaires towards 204 respondents; then, data collection will be coded and analyzed by utilizing multiple linear regression SPSS 20. The findings show that the development of sustainable marine ecotourism affected by several factors; public relations mix, the role of the regional government, empowerment, and community participation, which is 30,1%. The most influential factors are the role of government, empowerment, and community participation. Whereas, the public relations mix that is utilized by the government does not affect the development of sustainable marine ecotourism. The innovation of this research are, first, the role of government that is supported by community participation and empowerment can enhance sustainable marine ecotourism development. Second, the natural, human, budgetary and cultural resources are the primary capital in developing sustainable marine ecotourism.
Optimal Deteriorating Inventory Models for Varies Supply Life Cycles
Agriculture items, such as fruits and vegetables, have different supply and demand characteristics during a harvest period. Fruits supply in the first and end of harvest time are not reliable so sometimes supply are not available when needed. Fruits demand is different during harvest season. In the first harvest season, demand depends on price and at the end of harvest time, the demand depends on presentation of the items. In this study, inventory deteriorating items models for the first and the end of the harvest season are developed. Since closed-form solutions cannot be derived from the models, a Genetic Algorithm and a heuristic method are used to solve the problems. A numerical example and sensitivity analysis are conducted to illustrate the model and get insights. The sensitivity analysis shows that the supplier will increase his price when supply is not reliable at the early harvest period. The results show that the unreliable supply is susceptible to the total cost at the end of the harvest period
Logistics Modelling for the University Transport Service Using Choice Experiment
The use of Single Own Vehicle (SOV) among university students in the campus area has been increased lately. Many factors attributed to this scenario. One of them is the availability of the university transport service in the campus area. The benefits of using SOV to the students is undeniable. However, such a scenario gives traffic or environmental problems if the number of SOV users are not regulated. One common approach that has been applied in many universities for reducing the SOV users is by providing the university transport service to their students. But why such service fails to reduce the number of SOV users? Using a Choice Experiment (CE) technique, this study is undertaken to investigate the UUM students’ preferences and satisfaction on the university transport service. The results from the Latent Class Model (LCM) show that the respondents in UUM are not satisfied with the currently provided service and put a hope that the service will be improved soon. This study also found that the respondents are willing to pay (WTP) an additional amount of money if the service is improved where the focus attributes of the service are such passengers loading and service to the nearby towns
The Importance of Integrating Local Culture Values in Science Learning by Supply Chain Strategy
Abstract— This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the model of integrating local cultural values in science learning in elementary school based on the supply chain strategy. The design of this study includes four stages, namely: (1) preliminary study; (2) design of learning models; (3) developing of learning models; and (4) validating the models in the science learning process in supply chain. In this study, step (3) and step (4) are carried out, while steps (1) and steps (2) have been implemented in the previous year. This research was carried out in several elementary schools: (1) in Dendang Belitung Timur District, Bangka Belitung; and (2) in Kediri Tabanan District, Bali. A total of 21 elementary school teachers and more than 300 elementary school students were included in this study. The results of this study, it can be seen that there is an increase in the ability of elementary school teachers to design and implement science learning by integrating local cultural values in science learning in the classroom. From the results of statistical tests, it is seen that there is an increase in student learning outcomes before and after the learning process takes place. In addition, most students appear to be actively participating and look happy during the learning process because the science content they learn is associated with local cultural values in their surroundings. The learning process like this makes it fun not only for elementary school teachers who teach but also makes students are happy in learning science
The Role of Web-Sphere for Managing Supply Chain Business Objects in Heterogeneous Systems
Abstract— The study discusses the problem of managing supply chain business objects in heterogeneous systems through the use of Business Process Management Systems (BPMS). The purpose of the research is to summarize the experience of domestic enterprises (operating in logistics and other businesses) when using cloud-based logistics systems; to identify general development trends in the domestic market and to develop recommendations for improving the efficiency of supply chain management based on cloud technologies. The research hypothesis is that the competitiveness of the logistics system grows along with its synergy. To test the hypothesis, a survey of 94 respondents working with such systems has been conducted. It has been found that IBM WebSphere is the most preferable system as it provides the maximum synergistic effect that is achieved by the targeted, coordinated, and mutual operation of two or more digital technologies to achieve a certain common goal. In particular, this stems from the fact that it is not enough to produce quality and essential goods or to provide a service; it is important to be able to convey the message to the consumer. The concept of competition has expanded beyond the boundaries of products (goods or services) and has moved into the sphere of competition among management structures
Wave Retail Banking Effect on Customer Satisfaction in Retail Supply Chain in Bangladesh
Abstract-Purpose: The purpose of this study is a clarification of changes of supply chain management (SCM) in public organizations and the nature of change management (CM). The paper also examines and demonstrate the trust influencing CM in technology adoption in Bangladesh pubic organizations. The aim of this paper is, consequently, to identify precarious success factors for CM. Theory: In this study we focus on the adoption of technology such as the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), highlighted the need to broaden the scope of theoretical mechanisms. Method: In this study, we obtained the empirical data necessary to validate the theoretical framework. In total of 460 self-administered questionnaires were used to derive public sector responses in Bangladesh in their perceptions of trust and aspects of change management. Originality: This study an outline of CM in TA projects is recognized based on the literature review and empirical evidence. Significance: This study will enhance the service and management of public organization. Besides that, it will provide quality service for public organization. Finally, it will introduce technology supply chain in organization management. Outline: the paper concludes with a presentation of the study’s, framework and contributions as well as the stream of upcoming research
