Extent of Employee Turnover in Humanitarian Logistics: An Interpretive Structural Modelling Approach
Get PDFFollowing a disaster, humanitarian logistics service providers (HLSP) noted that besides their challenging job they are also facing high employee turnover. The main purpose of this article is to extend a precise assessment platform and provide a theoretical basis for increasing the understanding of the turnover of staff in humanitarian logistics (HL). Based on the identified variables leading to turnover of employee, this paper analyzes these variables affecting turnover of an employee in HL, using interpretive structural modeling (ISM) approach to evolve a model of hierarchy and categorized the interrelationships among these variables. In line with research conducted previously, the study identified and updated 16imperativeemployee turnover variables out of 24 as a key performance evaluation of HL. These variables can be categorized into eight levels, which denote the driving power from higher to lower. The study findings indicate that not all variables to employee turnover in HL require the same level of concentration. Out of 16 variables, there is a group of eight variables that have high driving control and low reliance, these variables are of strategic importance and require maximum attention. Also, another group contains six variables they have a low driving power but high reliance, whereas the one variable is in the linkage category between lower and upper-level variables. This categorization will help relief agencies to distinguish between dependent and independent variables that are imperative for improving the issue of employee turnover in HL. This article is the first to discuss employee turnover using ISM in the context of HL. The developed framework herein provides a precise guideline for HL to enhance their performance, as well as to promote the efficient application of resources through employee retention. The Impact of Effective Supply Chain Practices, Real Estate Price and Government Budget on Economic Growth: The Case of Vietnam
Get PDFIn the context of global supply chain value, it has greatly contributed to the trade volumes, government budget utility, and promotion for economic growth. Vietnam has been as one of the fastest-growing economies in the Asian Pacific and the world with a robust 7 percent since economic reforms in 1986 till present. At the same time, the real estate market has been an enabler of economic activity by improving housing demands and enhancing economic performance. In particular, the real estate market has also been opened up for foreigners since 2015, who can buy or invest in a property in the country. This paper focuses on exploring the dynamic relationship between real estate prices, government budget, and economic growth in the case of an emerging economy. Using quarterly data covering in the period of Q1/2008 to Q4/2018 with approximately 44 observations and applying the Autoregressive Distribution Lagged (ARDL) approach, results reveal that, in both the short-run and long-run, economic growth is highly affected by fluctuations of the present, and past economic growth. Besides, there exists a long-run relationship between government budget and economic growth. Regarding real estate prices and their impact on economic growth, this study could not find any findings in this relationship in both the short and long run. The recommendations indicate that the trends of global supply value chains can strongly support economic growth in the long run

This system makes added value for coffee bean farmers, training on knowledge of the sorting system that uses computer applications and practices in running the system supports working farmers to work more efficiently and effectively and provide maximum results in accordance with market needs
The TGARCH Supply Chain Management Model of Rice Price Volatility in South Sumatra, Indonesia
Get PDFThe aim of this study was to build a price model for premium and medium rice in South Sumatra Province, being a major centre for production in Indonesia. This was estimated using the ARCH/GARCH model, based on the weekly data obtained between March 2016 and July 2019. The results showed the occurrence of price volatility for premium and medium variety, despite the polity implementation by government. Therefore, the best volatility model was identified, termed TGARCH (1,1), with a threshold of 1, characterized by futuristic price predictability. In addition, the estimations provide an overview, and also serve as a material for policy evaluation, in order to enhance effectivity and promote the actualization of goals

The Influence of Empowerment, Supply Chain Strategy, and Job Involvement toward Professional Commitment
Get PDFAbstract- The impact of the supply chain management (SCM) greatly influences the form of professional commitment that has a good impact toward its institution. The objective of this research was to find out and to analyze the influence of empowerment, supply chain management, and job involvement toward professional commitment through the company system. The sample of this research was taken by using proportional random sampling. The samples were the Women Navy Corps consisted of 160 respondents from the total of 250 Women Navy Corps. In this research, the researchers used Structural Equation Model in testing, analyzing the data, and model development. The Data were analyzed by using statistical software tools (LISREL 8.8). Methodical Approach to the Supply Chain Strategy Development for Large Enterprises Based on a Balanced Indicator System
Get PDFThe article describes a methodological approach to the supply chain strategy development, consisting of seven stages and allowing taking into account the specific nature of the activities of large enterprises. This approach includes one of the most important stages in the supply chain strategy development, that is, its evaluation. Many authors exclude this stage during consideration. The use of a balanced indicator system (hereinafter - the BIS) in the supply chain strategy development for the enterprise allows taking into account a greater number of performance indicators for a detailed analysis of a large enterprise, which helps to identify problem areas in their activities in exchange. The article presents the developed methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the supply chain strategy for large enterprises based on the BIS: we improved the traditional performance indicators and developed additional indicators within each prospect of the modified BIS. The author’s methodology includes the development of integrated indicators of the effectiveness of the supply chain strategy based on expert assessment, with the help of which the supply chain strategy is evaluated from the perspective of all the prospects considered within the framework of the modified BIS
