Situational Analysis of Shallot Supply Chain Innovation System: A Case Study of Majalengka-Indonesia

    No full text
Situational analysis is an important study to understand the root causes and solutions that are relevant to a phenomenon. The research focused on the situational analysis of the shallot supply chain which encountered problems of production and downstream instability, which affected inflation and deflation. Without a clear situational analysis, institutional intervention becomes more difficult. The aim of the study was to analyze the situation of the shallot supply chain case study in Majalengka Regency, Indonesia. Situational analysis is carried out using a soft system dynamic methodology (SSDM) approach. The research produced a picture of the real world supply chain of shallots through a rich picture chart. Relevant systems that will be built are obtained through CATWOE analysis including; support system for fulfilling irrigation production infrastructure to ensure production stability; sustainable guidance system for independent seed production; special institutional systems which function as absorbent products, guarantor of product quality standards and regulator of price stability; a system that provides training to increase product added value in a sustainable manner as well as training for institutional farming development; and a system that provides GAP training to ensure the quality and quantity of products leading to a structured market. The relationship in the pictured system is illustrated through a causal loop diagram (CLD) chart. The next step that can be done from the results of the research is analyzing the behavior of the model and developing a scenario to improve policies that can support the development of innovation systems in the shallot supply chain. Abstract— As follows from the analysis, the producers of functional food production do not increase their production and its supply in the domestic market intensively enough and have a quite low export capacity. During production of functional foods, producers do not pay sufficient attention to patenting of the developed intellectual property objects. It was revealed that Russia, that shows a considerable potential of agricultural land and positive experience of agricultural sector development, needs to ensure the development of domestic supply chain management in businesses and industries to provide promising new-generation functional foods competitive in the internal and external markets. Competitiveness of such products can be improved by development of supply chain management – specialized functional foods. This paper explores ways of improving supply chain management within the food processing industry looking into characteristics on justification and development of advanced functional food, its formulations and production technologies. This work presents a supply chai nstrategy in terms of food industry subsectors and producers, food effects obtained from functional foods, and in terms of consumers of functional food products depending on product purpose

Currently, the British automotive industry still has its own benefits within economic situations. As an instance, its automotive infrastructure field is still driving the world. In the case of automotive innovation and framework, the UK also has the ability to drive and collect. According to data from the “European Automobile Association and the British Automobile Manufacturers and Traders Association”, the production of British cars in 2012 was 1.58 million, an increase of 7.7% compared to 2011, while automobile production has maintained steady growth. In 2012, 2.5 million units were supplied. During the same period, German car production declined by 8.1 percent and Spain by 16.6 percent. France lost another 12.3 percent. By 2013, the annual offer for British cars reached 1.6 million units, which has returned to levels well before the financial crisis. The overall development from the Supply Chain to the Extended Supply Chain has been carried out by various enterprises for some time. As one of the largest and dominant organisations in the world, the automotive industry can greatly influence the development of a better society. Although another combination has emerged in the field of original supply chain management, no reviewing department can fully cover the front-line research of the automotive industry. To fill this gap, this research considers the sustainable management of supply chain in the automotive industry, which was adopted around 1995 and 2017. Therefore, the research has performed a persuasive bias analysis and studied the material and their contents. According to the “Icam DEFinition for Function Modeling (IDEF0)”, content analysis is categorised according to several key business structures, which is a common way of separating business structures. The survey provides useful principles for building the automotive supply chain of the surveyor and combines robustly-distributed research theft clauses and recommendations for future investigations. Keywords: sustainable SCM, Automotive Industry, Green SCM, Electric Vehicle

Abstract This phenomenological qualitative research aims to analyze and describe the steps of internet-based learning, the underlying learning model, and the experience of lecturers and students while carrying out internet-based learning in the context of strengthening digital literacy. The results showed that internet-based learning in a pandemic situation to strengthen digital literacy must be started by preparing an internet connection, attendance list (online and manual), shared RPS via WhatsApp, pretest / quiz, learning offline / online, then presentation. review the material, posttest / quiz and end with motivation. The learning model used is active learning, a model that can provide special experience for lecturers and students. They always prepare attendance lists and material online, are disciplined, and are accustomed to using the internet. But they still encounter technical obstacles related to the use of digital media and the internet, as well as electricity and digital media disruptions that were difficult to predict beforehand

Risk Management Analysis Based on Supply Chain Business Process for Public Private Partnership Public Housing

    Get PDF
Covid19 Pandemic has made many countries like Indonesia spent their budget heavily on health and economy recoveries, meaning that some allocated budget including for infrastructure has been cut. In contrast, number of backlogs which determine numbers of people that need shelters are still remain high especially for low income groups (LIG). To tackle the problem, government has an initiative to engage private sectors through public private partnership (PPP) in public housing. The process is quite complex and has taken so many stakeholders like government, private sectors, consultants, contractors, vendors, subcontractors and financial institutions like banks and insurance companies. The complexities in PPP business models which involving so many stakeholders can create potential risks. Therefore, besides calculating investment return in the feasibility study stage, it is also important to make a risk management analysis based on supply chain business process. The supply chain business process must start from mapping business process, i.e. planning stage, contract award stage, implementation and the phase of hand over the facilities once the concessional period would end, transfer the ownership back from private sectors to government. This study has an objective to conduct literature study about risk management analysis by using ISO 31000: 2018, the relative new concept in risk management that replaces the same standard but from year of 2009. The model then will be combined with supply chain business process so risk management can be mitigated in each business process. The model of the study use supply chain business process in establishing the context in risk analysis followed by risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation with the integrated process of communication and consultation, recording and reporting as well as reviewing and monitoring. Study has found that there are critical risks that must be mitigated namely design risk, land price risk, legal land status risk, political risk, contractual risk, market risk, business risk, material price risk, operational risk, legal risk in hand over and asset impairment risk. The model has proposed several new techniques to mitigate risk namely using value at risk (VaR) by monte carlo simulation to measure market risk, business risk and operational risk, developing digitalization for the process in communication communication, recording reporting as well reviewing monitoring. It is also recommended the using of supply chain financing to vendors and subcontractors as Banks have the accessed data from digitalization that consider government and private sectors’ guarantees

    Get PDF
Researches, literature reviews and professional experiences show that traditional logistics services were precisely defined and differentiated in the past 30 years, but Industry 4.0 brings additional service opportunities for leading logistics service providers and for their customers. New circumstances may improve supply chain efficiency by remodelling the solutions and responsibilities of the different cooperating partners. The aim of the paper is to summarize the definitions of the different traditional and more developed logistics service providers and to create and propose a standard definition for the Lead Logistics Providers, based on the LLP studies and key characters of the existing LLP services. Based on a desk research (literature review and document analysis) and using the professional experience of authors, the analysis focuses on the advanced services by looking at the content and service elements of some leading logistics service companies. Conclusion of the research is that leading service providers offer quite wide range of services which is difficult to standardize in terms of creating a standard definition as it’s available for 1-2-3 PL logistics service providers. Therefore, the introduction and generic definition is proposed from the time being for the Lead Logistics Providers. In the light of Industry 4.0 the coming years might clarify the content and meaning of additional PL levels, such as 5, 6, or higher PL levels

Abstract— The main goal of the study is to develop methodological approaches to a formalized assessment of the impact of supply chain management and its individual components on the development parameters of key macroeconomic indicators of a region (for example, investment in fixed assets). Testing the proposed research algorithms made it possible to substantiate a high level of reputation significance in the formation of regional economic growth. The implemented factor analysis provided an identification of the impact of the individual sub-indices under consideration, which form the integral value of the region’s supply chain management, on investment activation processes. The Republic of Tatarstan acts as an object of the study. The subject of the research is a methodological toolkit for conducting factor analysis and assessing the impact of the region's reputation on the parameters and dynamics of investment processes. A key feature of the study is the proposed version of constructing a series of regression equations, where the region’s supply chain management index is one of the exogenous parameters. The use of elimination methods has allowed the formation of a factor analysis focused on the impact of the individual components of the index under study on investment processes. On the basis of the developed methodology for the formalized assessment of the region’s supply chain management, the authors have built models that assess the level of influence of sub-indices that form the basis for an integrated assessment of the territory’s reputation on investment dynamics. It is advisable to use the developed methodological approaches when developing new models of economic growth under conditions of increased importance and the role of intangible production factors. According to the results of the study, the influence of each of the sub-indices under consideration on the dynamics of investment in fixed assets of the region was established, which made it possible to justify and formulate measures of state influence on the corresponding functional directions of the regional socio-economic system
