Comparison of edge detectors on FPGA SoC system
Get PDFThis paper explain that comparison of edge detectors used widely in video processing. The mentioned edge detectors are Sobel, Prewitt and Roberts. SoC (System on Chip) is selected for performance analysis of above edge detectors. SoC systems are suitable for video processing and its application which has both CPU and FPGA cores. In this study, firstly, real time video is received by the usb webcam into CPU part of the SoC system. This is simple than other FPGA system which has only FPGA core. Because, CPU part of the SoC system doesn’t require any special hardware to get video frame into system. CPU is running linaro operating system which is developed using linux for SoC systems. Secondly, received video frame is processed by FPGA core part of the system which has built in design for related edge detector. Finally, processed video frame is displayed on monitor. Edge detectors are compared about fps and quality of the edges

That member staffs are to understand the relations of the multidiscipline, toassimilate theory and application. Hence, they could reach their knowledge of human body system andbiomedical systems so as to proceed and contribute to education technologies. In this study, a neuronoutput data based stimulator experimental setup is designed and implemented via virtual instruments(VIs) in LabVIEW. The neuron output data is generated with Hodgkin–Huxley model. The setup iseligible example to show how the fundamentals of biomedical systems build to the students and how adc motor can be controlled with neuron output data via VIs on PC. In future direction, a muscle nervecell will be used with invasive methods to stimulate a real dc motor setup. So, this application might bean initial stage of the designing prosthetic hand applications for students

Get PDFBakanlar Kurulu kararı ile Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’nın Orta Öğrenime bağlı okullarda, Orta Öğretim öğrencilerini kapsayan kılık kıyafet yönetmeliğinde yapılan değişikliğin 26.09.2014 tarihinde Resmi Gazete’de yayınlanmasının ardından, yönetmelik içeriğindeki bazı maddeler Türkiye’de yazılı basın gündeminde yer bulmuştur. Özellikle maddelerden birinde dövme ve piercing uygulamalarına yasak getirilmiş olması üç gün boyunca yazılıbasın haberlerinde ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada, yönetmelikte yapılan değişikliğin ardından dövmenin yasaklanmasının yazılı basındaki haberleştirilmesi konu edilmiştir. Değişen yönetmelik kapsamında dövmehaberlerinin söylemleri, Türkiye’deki ana akım medya söylemleri bağlamında incelenmiş, düzenlemeyle ilgili farklı bakış açıları saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada simgelerin sembolik dil aracılığıyla anlam inşası oluşturmadaki rolü temel alınmış ve değerlerin medya metinlerinde nasıl ve hangi bağlamlarda yeniden üretildiği çözümlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Türkiye yazılı basınından beş ana akım gazetedeki dövmeyleilgili haberler, Teun Van Dijk’ın eleştirel söylem çözümlemesi model alınarak incelenmiş ve gazetelerin temsil farkları makro ve mikro yapıda analiz edilmiştir

The Impact of E-Services on the Development of Administrative Work of TVTC

This study was conducted to investigate the impact of electronic services onthe development of administrative work of Technical and Vocational TrainingCorporation (TVTC) in Saudi Arabia among 108 administrators of different male and femalecolleges and industrial institutes all under the TVTC. The administrators included directors,managers and other executive members of management in these institutions. The researcheremailed questionnaires to the participants of the study to give their responses on the study.The study tested six hypotheses, and the results confirmed that the use of electronic serviceshad a great impact on the development of administrative work in TVTC

Dynamic impact of crude oil price shocks on equity market returns; A simple MS-EGARCH approach
Get PDFThis study is motivated by the empirical association between crude oil price shocks and stock market returns as well the asymmetric and nonlinear effects of crude oil price movement with stock returns. Thus, the EGARCH model is employed to investigate the dynamic impact of crude oil price on equity returns in terms of it asymmetric and nonlinear effects. We find a significant switching behaviour for our sample with varying impacts across the selected regimes. The result from our simple Markov-switch model is found to be more robust and significant compared to the extended model estimated with additional exogenous variable. Specifically, for our simple model the regime specific error variances are positive and significant for both the low and high volatility regimes in all the equity market studied. We also obtain a significant transition matrix parameter for all the equity markets in our sample with significant dynamic transition probabilities in both the low and high volatility regimes.

Erzincan İli İçin 50 kW Kurulu Gücünde Bir Güneş Enerji Santralinin Maliyet Analizi
Get PDFBu çalışmada, Erzincan ili için 50 kW kurulu gücünde bir güneş enerji santralinin maliyet analizi yapılmıştır. Sistem elektrik şebekesine bağlı olacak şekilde tasarlanıp, sistemin analizinde Photovoltaic System Study (PVSYST) programı kullanılmıştır. Erzincan iline ait 40 yıllık küresel radyasyon verileri Meteoroloji İşleri Genel Müdürlüğünden temin edilerek aylık ortalama ışınım değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Bu ışınım değerleri PVSYST programına aktarılarak yapılan hesaplamalar sonucunda Erzincan ili için kurulması planlanan 50 kW kurulu gücündeki bir güneş enerji santralinin yıllık üreteceği elektrik enerji değeri 70.500 kWh ve sistemin toplam yatırım maliyetinin ise 76.641 $ olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elektrik kullanım senaryosuna göre fotovoltaik santralin ilk yatırım maliyetini karşılama süresinin ise 8,2 yıl olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlar, elektrik enerjisi üretiminde güneş enerjisinden yararlanma da Erzincan ilinin yatırım yapmak için çok elverişli bir bölge olduğunu göstermiştir
