    A Case Report on Internal Bleacing of a Discolored Central Incisor Using 35% Hydrogen Peroxide

    A patient presented with tooth discoloration due to trauma, which had caused a tooth to become non-vital. Such trauma can damage the pulp tissue, eventually leading to necrosis and discoloration over time. In cases like this, internal bleaching is a treatment procedure aimed at improving the color of non-vital teeth. Discoloration of teeth after endodontic treatment often raises concerns for both patients and dentists. Whitening the tooth after root canal treatment is important to restore its original color before a permanent restoration is placed. The objective of this report is to present the successfull outcome of internal bleaching in patient who had undergone root canal treatment en years earlier. A 39-year-old male presented with a complaint of discoloration in the right maxillary central incisor. The patient had a history of root canal treatment on the tooth performed ten years prior. Radiographic examination confirmed that tooth 11 had undergone root canal treatment. Internal bleaching was performed on tooth 11, which appeared darker than the adjacent teeth. Whitening was carried out using 35% hydrogen peroxide. By the fourth visit (one week after the third application), the tooth color had changed to shade D3, which matched the desired color. This indicated a significant improvement in shade. Internal bleaching using 35% hydrogen peroxide resulted in color enhancement consistent with patients expectations. The treatment proved effective in restoring the esthetics of a non-vital tooth discolored due to trauma

    AbstractThis research aims to analyze the diversity of fruit flies (Bactrocera sp.) and their damage to tomato plantings. The research was carried out in Ouw village, East Saparua District, Central Maluku Regency. This research was a quantitative descriptive study carried out using a survey method with ME traps, which were applied directly in the field using Steiner Trap Type II traps. Data analysis includes the Diversity Index, Relative Density, Evenness Index, Dominance Index, and Damage Intensity. According to the study's findings, Bactrocera dorsalis, Bactrocera umbrosa, and Bactrocera cucurbitae were the fruit fly species that were discovered in tomato plantings. The Diversity Index (H') value is 0.7253, which indicates a low level of diversity; the highest Abundance Index (KR) is B. dorsalis with a value of 62.4633%; the Evenness Index (E) is 0.6602 in the even category; and the Dominance Index (D) is 0.4365 in the medium dominance category with a Damage Intensity of 9.76 percent, which is classified as light criteria

    This study investigates the meteorological factors contributing to extreme rainfall events and their relationship with flood occurrences in Ambon City. Based on a comprehensive global analysis of several atmospheric parameters, the results reveal: (1) a closed circulation pattern (streamline) over the Karimata Strait and Cenderawasih Bay, leading to the convergence and deceleration of easterly winds; (2) high atmospheric humidity ranging from 80% to 100%, coupled with warm sea surface temperatures (26–30°C), which significantly increase water vapor availability for cloud formation and development; and (3) a Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) of +10.39 and a Niño Index of -0.8, indicating the presence of a weak La Niña phenomenon that contributes to increased rainfall across Ambon City and the Maluku region. These atmospheric conditions collectively elevate the potential for hydrometeorological disasters, including severe flooding (BMKG, 2024). Ambon City, located within the Maluku Islands, exhibits a distinct local rainfall pattern that contrasts with Indonesia’s monsoonal climate, with its peak rainy season occurring from June to August, coinciding with the national dry season. This study aims to analyze the physical atmospheric conditions during extreme rainfall events and their influence on flood occurrences in Ambon City. Utilizing a descriptive-analytic approach, the research focuses on real field events to explore the underlying mechanisms driving these phenomena. The findings demonstrate a significant correlation between extreme rainfall and flood events, with atmospheric indices confirming conditions that favor intense convective activity, prolonged heavy rainfall, and subsequent flooding

    This study evaluates land capability in Tafamutu Village, Moti District, Ternate City, as a basis for sustainable land-use planning. Employing the Land Capability Classification (LCC) framework and the Land Classification and Land Use Planning (LCLP) software, the analysis identifies five land capability classes (V–VIII) across sixteen land mapping units. Subclass V‑P1, occupying 7.6 ha (1.1%), is constrained by slow permeability (< 25 mm/h). In contrast, subclass V‑b3, covering 100.4 ha (14.9%), is characterized by high coarse fragment content (> 90%), resulting in splash erosion rates of up to 22.3% under intense rainfall. Class VI‑E, comprising 135.3 ha (20.1%), is defined by moderate slopes (30%–45%) and elevated surface runoff potential—up to 75% higher compared to gentle slopes (< 15%). Class VII‑e5 encompasses 143.9 ha (21.4%) and is marked by severe erosion, with rates reaching 1,738.2 t ha⁻¹ yr⁻¹. Class VIII‑G, the most significant area at 261.2 ha (38.9%), includes very steep slopes (> 65%) and is designated strictly for conservation purposes. The dominant soil textures are clay loam and sandy loam, with an average adequate depth of 80 cm and a pH range of 5.0–6.5. These edaphic conditions support the cultivation of cloves and nutmeg, contingent upon implementing appropriate soil conservation techniques such as terracing and organic mulching. Based on the land capability assessment, recommended land uses include grazing on Class V lands (108 ha; 16.5%), limited plantation development on Class VI (135.3 ha; 20.1%), production forestry on Class VII (143.9 ha; 21.4%), and strict protection as forest reserves on Class VIII (261.2 ha; 38.9%). These zoning guidelines are instrumental in promoting climate-resilient land management and the sustainable utilization of natural resources within coastal volcanic landscapes

    The village of Talaga Ratu in Kairatu Village, West Seram Regency, Maluku Province, is known as a fishing village that produces demersal fish and marlin. However, fishing activities around coral reefs can damage fish habitats, making it essential to protect the environment so that fish populations remain diverse and abundant. One way to achieve this goal is by introducing a variety of fishing gear. The bale-bale technology, a trap fishing gear, offers a solution for the utilization of fish resources, especially flying fish eggs, which have high economic value. This community service activity aims to transfer knowledge about flying fish egg fishing technology as an alternative livelihood for fishermen, to optimally and sustainably utilize the fisheries potential. This activity includes lectures and training on making bale-bale. The results of the questionnaires showed an increase in community understanding of fishing gear diversification. This creates new business opportunities with high market value, which in turn can improve the economy and preserve the coastal island ecosystem

    Isu nasional Indonesia dalam bidang pendidikan matematika adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Berbagai upaya dilakukan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut salah satunya mengintegrasikan berbagai model pembelajaran dengan media pembelajaran inovatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terintegrasi GeoGebra Classroom (GC) dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL). Siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 9 Ambon adalah populasi dan siswa kelas  dan  adalah sampel dalam penelitian ini yang berjumlah masing-masing 29 siswa. Adapun hasil penelitian memperlihatkan ada perbedaan  kemampuan literasi matematika siswa yang diajarkan dengan kedua model (nilai sig. 2-tailed < 0.05), dimana siswa yang diterapkan model pembelejaran RME terintegrasi GC memiliki kemampuan literasi matematika yang lebih tinggi dari siswa di kelas PBL

    BINARY LOGISTIC REGRESSION ANALYSIS OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENT RISK FACTORS IN INDONESIA

    This study analyzes the factors influencing the severity of traffic accidents in Indonesia using binary logistic regression. Data from Kaggle includes variables such as age, gender, driving experience, lighting conditions, and weather conditions. The results indicate that poor lighting and adverse weather significantly increase the likelihood of fatal accidents by 88.8% and 96.5%, respectively. The logistic regression model achieves 76% accuracy with a good data fit (Hosmer-Lemeshow p-value = 0.144). These findings provide valuable insights for traffic safety policies and infrastructure development

    APPLICATION OF THE ARIMA MODEL IN FORECASTING ETHEREUM PRICES

    Ethereum is one of the leading cryptocurrencies utilizing blockchain technology for peer-to-peer financial transactions. This study aims to forecast Ethereum's price using the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA)model. Historical price data from January 1, 2023, to January 15, 2025, covering 534 periods, was analyzed. The ARIMA (0,1,9) model was selected based on AIC, SC, and Adjusted R-squared criteria, with forecast evaluation showing a Mean Absolute PercentageError (MAPE) of 15.01% and a Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 649.702. Forecast results indicate an upward trend in Ethereum's price over the next 30 periods, with fluctuations being less pronounced compared to historical data. The study concludes that ARIMA provides reasonably accurate short-term predictions, although forecasting errors increase with longer prediction periods. These findings can serve as a reference for investors in developing short-term investment strategies for Ethereum

    COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS OF EULER, RK-4, ABM-4 AND RKCOM4 METHODS OF INITIAL VALUE PROBLEMS IN NONHOMOGENEOUS SECOND ORDER DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

    Non-homogeneous second-order differential equations are often used in various mathematical models in physics, engineering, and system dynamics. Numerical solutions are the main alternative when analytical solutions are difficult to obtain. This study compares the performance of the Euler, Runge-Kutta 4th order (RK-4), Adams-Bashforth-Moulton 4th order (ABM-4), and Runge-Kutta Contra Harmonic Mean 4 (RKCoM4) numerical methodsin solving initial value problems (MNAs) in non-homogeneous second-order differential equations. The analysis was carried out by comparing the numerical calculation results of each method using the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) method. The results of numerical calculations and simulations show that the RK-4 and ABM4 methods provide higher accuracy than the Euler and RKCoM4 methods for 2 cases of non-homogeneous second-order differential equation
