Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of porous media single-phase fluid flow problem: a scientific review

    Get PDF
The complexity of porous media makes the classical methods used to study hydrocarbon reservoirs inaccurate and insufficient to predict the performance and behavior of the reservoir. Recently, fluid flow simulation and modeling used to decrease the risks in the decision of the evaluation of the reservoir and achieve the best possible economic feasibility. This study deals with a brief review of the fundamental equations required to simulate fluid flow through porous media. In this study, we review the derivative of partial differential equations governing the fluid flow through pores media. The physical interpretation of partial differential equations (especially the pressures diffusive nature) and discretization with finite differences are studied.  We restricted theoretic research to slightly compressible fluids, single-phase flow through porous media, and these are sufficient to show various typical aspects of subsurface flow numerical simulation. Moreover, only spatial and time discretization with finite differences will be considered. In this study, a mathematical model is formulated to express single-phase fluid flow in a one-dimensional porous medium. The formulated mathematical model is a partial differential equation of pressure change concerning distance and time.  Then this mathematical model converted into a numerical model using the finite differences method

    Get PDF
This research aims to analyze the implementation of rubrics in the Evaluation of learning in the students of higher basic of the Educational Unit “June 5 N ° 34”, 2019. With a sampling strategy of probabilistic type, a survey of teachers of the upper basic level of the areas of Language and Literature has conducted Natural Sciences, Social Studies, Mathematics, Physical Education, Cultural and Artistic Education and English with results that favor stating the problem that has evidenced by the weak use of rubrics in the processes of learning evaluation. From the surveys, it has been concluded that the teaching professionals have the knowledge of this evaluation instrument and its singularities but that the overvaluation of systematic tests as a measuring instrument is part of the evaluation processes rooted in the conduct of these professionals who Do not open to innovation. From the researchers 'perspective, the methodology in the use of rubrics has to be implemented in classrooms to give real value to the evaluation of students' knowledge

Maker movement: strategy for the construction of knowledge in high school students

    Get PDF
The objective of this work is to identify the characteristics of the Maker movement that facilitate its use as a teaching-learning strategy for the construction of knowledge in high school students. This research was carried out using the desk research methodology, based on evidence from previous application studies of the Maker Movement for the training and motivation of high school students. The Maker philosophy has fostered a new environment for learning based on the theory of constructivism, whose main characteristic is the involvement of students in the creation of artifacts that serve as conductive threads for a series of processes to be carried out that involve cooperation, collaboration and lifelong learning, underpinning processes of experimentation and exploration, in which all phases of the scientific method must be covered, requiring the use of interdisciplinary knowledge, always in a supportive environment. The Maker movement is a catalyst, which promotes learning, with a high dose of motivation, increasing student performance. In Ecuador, mechanisms have been established to promote this culture through the installation and growth of FabLab, in addition to having an increased activity of maker movements in educational institutes
