    Review: Modification of Nanocellulose as Conjugate of Infection-Causing Antibacterial Hydrogel

    Infection is the process of entering and reproducing microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites that cause tissue injury. Some of the common types of bacteria that play a role in wound infection are Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus epidermis. The antibacterial able to inhibit bacterial growth by inhibiting cell wall biosynthesis, increasing the permeability of the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane, and interfering with the normal bacterial protein synthesis. The aim of this review article is to conduct a study of nanocellulose as an antibacterial hydrogel conjugate. The method used is to summarize information from various recent journals related to nanocellulose, nanocellulose modification, nanocellulose-based hydrogels, and their application as antibacterial. Some journals from primary sources such as the PMC system (PubMed Central), National Library of Medicine (NIH), Science Direct, Elsevier, Nature, ACS Chemical Society, and several other sources. Nanocellulose consists of β-1, 4-glucose, and there are three hydroxyls active at the C2, C3, and C6 positions of the pyranose attachment. Nanocellulose can respond by the reaction of oxidation, esterification, or etherification, by adding a new functional group. Nanocellulose can become nanocellulose nanocrystals (CNC), cellulose nanofibers (NFC), and nanocellulose bacteria (BNC). Nanocellulose formulated in the form of hydrogels and combined with antibiotics will increase the effectiveness in reducing the risk of infection that is resistant to antibiotics

    Pembelajaran Multipel Representasi Disertai Praktikum Pada Materi Ikatan Kimia

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Multiple Representations learning for chemical bonding material. This research was conducted at MA Muhammadiyah Talawaan Bajo in the academic year of 2020/2021. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Twelve students of class X MIA were selected to be assigned as research samples. The data was collected by means of a test in the form of multiple choice questions as many as 15 items on chemical bonding materials. The data collection technique used the pretest and posttest questions. The test results obtained showed that there was a significant difference in student learning outcomes using multiple representations where the average score of students was 85.75 with N – Gain of 0.72 that classification as high. Based on these results it can be stated that as a result of learning using multiple representations of chemical bonding material, there is a development in students' knowledge.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran Multiple Representasi materi ikatan kimia. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MA Muhammadiyah Talawaan Bajo pada tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sebanyak duabelas siswa kelas X MIA dipilih untuk ditetapkan menjadi sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dalam bentuk tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 15 butir soal pada materi ikatan kimia. Data diambil dari hasil posttest. Hasil tes yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perkembangan pengetahuan siswa menggunakan multiple representasi dimana rata-rata nilai siswa 85,75 dengan skor N – Gain 0,72 dengan klasifikasi tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil ini dapat dinyatakan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan multiple representasi pada materi ikatan kimia, mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa

    Of research on application of Case Based Learning Model on Material of Buffer Solution to Student Result of Class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Kawangkoan. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of student learning resultusing conventional case-based learning model on buffer material. The research method used is experimental research method with the research design used is Posttest Only Control Group Design. Data collection technique is posttest. The research population is all students of SMA Negeri 1 Kawangkoan, while the samples taken are two randomly selected classes, that is class XI IPA 4 as experiment class with 25 students and class XI IPA 5 as control class with 25 students. Based on the results of research analyzed by t-test at the real level (α) = 0.05 obtained data that tcount = 2.494 and ttable = 1.677 according to the study criteria, if tcount> ttable then reject H0, so it can be concluded that there are differences in results student learning is taught by case-based learning model with student learning outcomes using conventionallearning method

    Liquid smoke is a preservative solution that can be used safely. This grade 1 product can be also used as food preservative.  The aim of this article is to discuss and examine the previous experiment’s results  by literature review.  The outcome of this article  is expected to be  regenerated  by other research using the existing variable which is discussed on this article or using new variable.  Based on the result. There are some variables that effect the final quality of liquid smoke. Some of them are pyrolisys temperature, pyrolisys time, adsorbant type and activator type. Pyrolisys temperature used was arround 250 °C – 300 °C with resulted pH 1.41 to 2.25.  While for pyrolisys temperature was arround 4 – 5 hours with phenol content arround 3.04% to 4.08%. The type of adsorbant used was zeoilte and quartz sand, which the acid total having both increment and decrement phenomenon. Activator type used were salt activator such as NaCl , NaHCO, CaCl2, Na2SO4 and base activator (NaOH) which producing the most percent acid total

    Currently, the use of acid-base indicators is limited to synthetic indicators, which are relatively expensive and not environmentally friendly. Therefore, an alternative acid-base indicator is needed from natural ingredients containing anthocyanins which are relatively cheaper, easy to obtain, and environmentally friendly so that they can replace the function of synthetic indicators. For this reason, it is necessary to research beforehand on the sources of raw materials that can be used as alternative acid-base indicators, how the method and what solvents are suitable, as well as the character of the anthocyanin dye extract obtained. In this research, a literature study related to the potential of natural dye extracts was carried out as an alternative acid-base indicator. From the results of the literature study, it can be seen that natural ingredients derived from groups of vegetables, flowers, fruits, and tubers have the potential as raw materials for making alternative acid-base indicators. The best method for extracting anthocyanin dyes from natural materials is the maceration method and the solvent that is suitable for use is ethanol-HCl solvent. The results of titration using natural dye extract indicators have similarities with the results of titrations using phenolphthalein and methyl orange indicators so that natural dye extract indicators can be used as alternative indicators in acid-base titrations

    Penggunaan Media Video dan Powerpoint Pada Mata Pelajaran Kimia Materi Larutan Penyangga Dalam Pembelajaran Daring

    The purpose of this research to see is there are differences in student chemistry learning outcomes on buffer solution material on the use of video media with PowerPoint in online learning. The design used in this research is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Kotamobagu with class XI MIA A as experimental class 1 (video media) and class XI MIA B (media PowerPoint) as experimental class 2. Normality testing using the Liliefors test showed that the data for both classes were normally distributed, and homogeneity testing using the similarity test of variance showed both classes were homogeneous. Hypothesis testing using two-way Independent Sample T-test with acceptance criteria H0 is -ttable<tcount<+ttable. It is obtained that tcount = -2.09 and ttable = 1.68 which means tcount is in the rejection region of H0, so hypothesis H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes when using video media using PowerPoint media.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kimia siswa materi larutan penyangga pada penggunaan media video dengan PowerPoint dalam pembelajaran daring. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di SMA N 1 Kotamobagu dengan kelas XI MIA A sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 (media video) dan kelas XI MIA B (media PowerPoint) sebagai kelas eksperimen 2. Pengujian normalitas menggunakan uji Liliefors menunjukan data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal, dan pengujian homogenitas menggunakan uji kesamaan varian menunjukkan kedua kelas homogen. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Independent Sample T-test dua arah dengan kriteria penerimaan H0 adalah -ttabel<thitung<+ttabel. Diperoleh thitung= -2.09 dan ttabel= 1.68 yang berati thitung berada pada daerah penolakan H0, jadi hipotesis H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan media video dengan menggunakan media PowerPoint

    Antioxidant Properties of Beringin (Ficus Benjamina Linn.) Fruit

    Ficus Benjamina Linn. is a plant that can be used as a source of antioxidants. This study aims to determine antiradical activity and total antioxidant capacity of extracts and fractions of Ficus Benjamina Linn. fruit. Fruit of Ficus benjamina Linn. which has been dried is macerated with methanol. The maceration results were then evaporated to obtain a thick extract of methanol. The extract was then partitioned to obtain the n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, and water fraction. Antiradical testing of extracts and fractions of Ficus benjamina Linn. fruit using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and testing total antioxidant capacity using the phosphomolybene method. The results of the anti-radical and antioxidant analysis showed that the ethyl acetate fraction was the most active fraction. Ethyl acetate fraction showed IC50 value of 63.55 μg / mL and the total value of antioxidant capacity was 127.05 ± 1.62 mg / gram AAE

    Durian seeds (Durio zibethinus Murr.) are one part of the durian fruit which has a high carbohydrate content so that it is a potential source of maltodextrin. The production of maltodextrin from durian seed starch has been carried out using the α-amylase enzyme. This study aims to determine the mass of durian seed starch substrate required to produce maltodextrin with the best yield and value of Dextrose Equivalent (DE). Starch with masses of 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 grams suspended in CaCl2 was hydrolyzed with α-amylase for 90 minutes. The results showed that the best mass of durian starch was 15 grams with a maltodextrin yield of 25.842% and a DE value of 11.493. Maltodextrin from durian seed starch has the potential to be developed because it has met the requirements of DE <20

    Penerapan Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) Pada Materi Asam Basa di Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Tondano

    This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the PjBL model in improving the learning outcomes of students in the SMA Negeri 2 Tondano XI IPA class. This research is conducted in two cycles. The research phase includes planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of the study are students from the XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Tondano class in the 2020/2021 academic year, a total of 18 students. Data collection techniques include observation, recording and testing instruments. Data analysis techniques include test results and observation data. The results show that the degree of completion of learning by 75 points has increased by 22.23%, among which the degree of completion of the learning achievements of Cycle I and Cycle II students is 66.67% and 88.90%, respectively. Based on the research results, the application of the PJBL model improves the learning outcomes of students.Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model PjBL dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, tahap penelitian meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Tondano tahun ajaran 2020/2021 semester genap yang berjumlah 18 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, pencatatan dan pengujian instrumen. Teknik analisis data meliputi data hasil tes dan observasi. Dalam hasil menunjukkan bahwa tingkat tuntas belajar memperoleh skor 75 meningkat sebesar 22,23%, antara lain tingkat ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa Siklus I dan Siklus II sebesar 66,67% dan 88,90%.     Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (Pbl) Pada Materi Asam Basa Siswa Kelas Xi Ipa Di Sma Negeri 1 Tenga

    This research aims to determine the application of problem based learning (PBL) learning models on acid-base material for class XI science at SMA Negeri 1 Tenga. This research was conducted in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Tenga with a sample of 25 people. The research design used was the post-test-only control group design experimental method. The experimental class uses a problem based learning (PBL) model and the control class uses conventional learning. Analysis of hypothesis testing using t-test with a significant level of = 0.05 and success (dk) = 48. The test results obtained show that the results of tcount > ttable or 3.62 > 2.010, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, and the average the average student learning outcomes of the experimental class were 81.92, which was greater than the learning outcomes of the control class was 72.96. This shows that there is a significant difference between the average score (post-test) of the experimental group and the control group. So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of students who use the problem based learning (PBL) learning model with the learning outcomes of students who use conventional learning on acid-base materials.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) pada materi asam basa kelas XI IPA di SMA Negeri 1 Tenga. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara rata-rata nilai (post-test) kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) dengan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi asam basa
