Get PDFDurch eine frühe Einbindung der Gemeinden und betroffener Bürger in die Projektentwicklung sowie deren Beteiligung an der Projektgesellschaft, kann die bei der Umsetzung von Infrastrukturprojekten häufig auftretende ablehnende Haltung in der Bevölkerung überwunden werden. Voraussetzung dafür ist, dass es sich um ein ökologisch verträgliches und zugleich wirtschaftliches Projekt handelt. Schlüssel für das Erreichen der regionalen Akzeptanz ist der Aufbau eines Vertrauensverhältnisses unter den Projektpartnern. Dies gelingt durch Transparenz, ergebnisoffene Diskussionen, Beteiligung an Entscheidungen und glaubwürdiges Bemühen, den gemeinsamen Projekterfolg über die Eigeninteressen zu stellen.With the early engagement of communities and stakeholders in the development of the project as well as their engagement in the project association the often reluctant positions of the public regarding the realization of infrastructure projects can be overcome. For this it is a requirement that the project is ecologically compliant and at the same time economically beneficial. Key to reaching regional acceptance is building mutual trust among the project partners. This is possible through transparency, open discussions, participation regarding decisions and a creditable effort to put the collected project success before self-interests

Get PDFAktuelle Strategien zur Bewältigung der Herausforderung Pflege in einer Gesellschaft des langen Lebens stoßen zunehmend erkennbar an ihre Grenzen. Um tatsächlich neue Handlungsoptionen zu eröffnen, empfiehlt es sich, zunächst von bekannten und in der Regel linear verlängerten Problemlösungswegen abzulassen und – systematisch geleitet – einen erweiterten Blick in die Zukunft zu wagen. Der vorliegende Beitrag skizziert ein Projektvorhaben, mit dem mögliche Zukünfte der Pflege szenariobasiert entworfen wurden, um auf dieser Basis systematische Zukunftsdialoge zu ermöglichen und Optionen für das aktuelle Handeln abzuleiten. Fragen der Technikentwicklung und -nutzung erhalten demnach in einer transdisziplinär begründeten Pflegearbeit ganz entscheidende Bedeutung.Current strategies to meet the challenges of care in a society of longer living are apparently reaching their limits. To actually open up new options for action, it is advisable to refrain from known approaches to solving problems and to – systematically – risk a broad view of the future. This paper outlines a project in which possible futures of care were developed on the basis of scenarios and discussed regarding their importance for systematic dialogues on the future as well as providing options for current actions. Get PDFTechnikfolgenabschätzung ist schon dem Namen nach konsequentialistisch ausgerichtet: Es geht um die Erforschung und Bewertung von Folgen. Damit dies möglich ist, müssen Technikfolgen also in gewisser, nicht beliebiger Weise mit Gründen antizipierbar sein. In diesem Beitrag gehe ich der Frage nach, ob Orientierung im Rahmen der TA auch möglich ist, wenn diese Voraussetzung nicht mehr erfüllt ist. Die These ist, dass Orientierung dann nicht mehr im Rahmen eines konsequentialistischen Zugangs, sondern nur eine hermeneutische Analyse der debattierten Zukünfte möglich ist
What About Your Futures, Technology Assessment? An Essay on How to Take the Visions of TA Seriously, Motivated by the PACITA Conference
Get PDFThe visions of TA itself receive hardly any attention, although the field is variously engaged in the contests of sociotechnical futures in the making. In this essay we show, however, that TA is full of implicit and explicit visions of the future and that it enacts different relationships to these visions and the role they play in innovation and transformation processes. We outline the three ideal types “observer of visions”, “co-constructor of visions”, and “visioneer” to designate different modes how TA is dealing with visions of the future – by others and by itself. These ideal types may help to (dis-)entangle the different implicit and explicit TA visions in current TA practices and may serve as an orientation to develop a “visioneering TA” which strategically takes part in contesting futures through promoting visions.
