Exploration of Space Sculpture
Get PDFSculpture is an art in space. It is a creation where the creator uses physical substance as a medium to express personal thoughts and emotions in space. The concept of space has become increasing rich, and artists are no longer satisfied with the pure expressions of ‘shape’ and ‘between shapes’. They are pursing elevation in the spiritual level. Sculpture appreciation requires multi-dimensional perspectives of the viewer. In addition to the shape of the sculpture, its spatial factor is also very important. If the artists can merge space and time organically and coordinate their interactions and relationship, then they can better display the art itself. The space sculpture can be roughly categorized into three kinds: positive, negative, and imaginary spaces. Positive space is the physical sculpture itself, negative space is the empty space within and around the sculpture, and the imaginary space is spiritual resonance between the viewer and the sculpture. Artists have inherited and innovate their understanding and usage of space and incorporate negative space rationally in sculpture creation

Get PDFLa pandémie de la COVID - 19 a occasionné, dans la plupart des pays du monde, la fermeture des écoles et des structures de formation. Pour assurer l’éducation et la continuité de la formation des apprenants, la Côte d’Ivoire a opté pour le télé-enseignement. C’est ainsi que l’IPNETP a développé à l’attention du corps professoral et des étudiants une plateforme Moodle pour la réalisation des activités d’enseignement apprentissage à distance. Cette nouvelle modalité de formation, dans un contexte de rupture brusque d’avec l’enseignement en présentiel, ne susciterait-elle pas des inquiétudes d’ordre émotionnel chez les apprenants ? En vue de répondre à cette interrogation, la présente étude se propose d’analyser les états émotionnels et les réactions des Etudiants - Formateurs de l’IPNETP face à l’utilisation de la plateforme Moodle. Sur la base des données collectées à l’aide d’un questionnaire et d’un guide d’entretien, l’étude présente deux principaux résultats. La majorité des étudiants ressente des émotions positives stimulant l’emploi de la plateforme Moodle. Cependant, les Etudiants - Formateurs rencontrent des difficultés liées à l’accès à la plateforme de formation. Face à ces difficultés, la majorité d’entre eux s’oriente vers des alternatives plus accessibles comme le recours à une tierce personne

Get PDFThis research examines Perfume: The Story of Murderer (1985) by Patrick Suskind in the light of psychoanalysis. The events revolve around Jean Baptiste the main character in the novel and it’s based in France, Paris during the eighteenth century, when the streets of Paris were full of stench, and showing the ambition of Jean Baptiste Grenouille by creating the best scent in the world, whose ambition later turns into a murderous obsession. The analysis in this research includes an analysis of the thoughts and actions of Grenouille who has a very great obsession with smells, so he acts as a killer to get what he wants, this psychological problem is called a psychopath. The aim of this research is to analyse the novel based on its structural elements and the ambition of Grenouille that deals with id, ego and superego using a psychoanalytic approach. Therefore, I relied on sigmund Freud’s psychological theory and what he says about human personality. In psychoanalysis, theories are used to provide a model for understanding human thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. As such, I will base my research on this research the unconscious mind of a psychopath in Patrick Suskind’s perfume: the story of murderer by (Nessie Agustin).

Get PDFLe bégaiement est défini comme une difficulté ou un trouble du langage qui soumet le sujet parlant, à un stress et à un déséquilibre physiologique en situation de communication. Dans le cadre d’un apprentissage scolaire et plus précisément d’une formation professionnelle, les apprenants bègues sont généralement marginalisés et sous-estimés. Un tel constat discriminatoire dans les institutions scolaires, au moment où l’on parle de plus en plus d’école inclusive, nous induit à conduire une étude au lycée hôtelier d’Abidjan Cocody. L’étude vise, pour objectif principal, de faire une analyse de l’estime de soi des bègues en lien avec leurs résultats scolaires et leur insertion professionnelle. Partant de l’hypothèse selon laquelle une forte estime de soi pousse l’élève bègue à développer des compétences et avoir de meilleurs rendements scolaires, l’étude est soumise à une approche expérimentale soutenue par la méthode quantitative. Avec un échantillon de 28 élèves stagiaires en fin de formation, composé de 12 filles et 16 garçons, la technique du SEI de Coopersmith, des instruments de recueil de données tels que l’entretien, le questionnaire l’observation et le focus group, sont convoqués dans ce travail pour percevoir la corrélation entre les variables en présence. Border Security Management and ECOWAS Protocol on Free Movement in West Africa
Get PDFPrior to the enactment of the ECOWAS Protocol on free movement, people move from one location to another, there was little or no regards for the artificial borders created by the colonial powers. The vision of the ECOWAS is to create a borderless region where the population will have access to the abundant resources and, able to exploit same through the creation of opportunities under a sustainable environment. Nevertheless, the unrestricted free movement of people in the sub-region resulted to situation of tension among citizens of the receiving country and migrants especially in places where migrants dominate trade and labour. The regimes that are rather weak can become destabilized under such tensions thereby resulting to free flow of criminalities. The challenges of the Protocol have not helped the security landscape of the sub-region even though ECOWAS prides itself as the first region in Africa with the free movement initiative, the Protocol is poorly implemented constituting more security concern than boosting regional trade and economic development. Despite these challenges and threats posed by border insecurity, there is a lack of a common approach in terms of policy formulation, especially from the direction of the government. Therefore, it is on this note the paper seeks to examine these overlapping issues and hold attempts to provide a possible solution in resolving them. Data were obtained using secondary sources and the data were analyzed qualitatively. The paper observed that the prospect of achieving effective border security was truncated due to unrestricted free movement of people and improper implementation of ECOWAS protocol in the sub-region. This uncontrolled and unmanaged border has resulted to infiltration of terrorists/insurgency, loss of government revenue, smuggling or trafficking of illegal goods among others. The paper further revealed that the issue of corruption, poor technological gadgets, and porous nature of the borders among others serve as strong challenge to effective border management in the region. Therefore called for a Paradigm Shift in achieving effective border management to include adequate provision of funds, use of modern technological gadgets, adequate training of security personnel, strengthening of Multinational Joint Task Force among others.
