Looking for another assessment tool that activates the principles of AaL (Assessment as Learning)? Look no further than the RATPD!
Frequently discussed in the literature on assessment are the ideas of assessment of learning (AoL), assessment for learning (AfL) and assessment as learning (AaL). This paper draws the readers’ attention to the idea of AaL, an assessment strategy entitled the Reflective Approach to Teaching Practicum Debriefing (RATPD) and answers the question, “To what extent is the Reflective Approach to Teaching Practicum Debriefing (RATPD) strategy an assessment as Learning (AaL) activity?” By discussing and connecting AaL and RATPD, the main conclusion was, enacting the RATPD is engaging in an actual AaL activity. Therefore, through this paper, readers are introduced to another assessment tool (RATPD) that, when employed, activates, and puts into action the principles of AaL. Displaying this assessment tool is timely, given the growth of interest in modes of assessment

Adolescent Dieting and Eating Disorders: Considerations for Counselors
A crucial time for an individual’s development is during adolescence. During this developmental stage, the media, social influences, and cultural pressures contribute to a teenager’s body dissatisfaction and disordered eating habits. Nearly 22% of adolescents engage in unhealthy weight-loss behaviors such as skipping meals, fad diets, excessive exercise, and dangerous purging practices due to experiencing weight and body dissatisfaction (Whyte & Findlay, 2004). Other factors such as low self-esteem, peer pressure, and the desire for increased social status have been known to exacerbate these behaviors. Dieting practices intensify these risks and increase the likelihood of developing nutritional deficiencies and eating disorders. Disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and orthorexia exhibit perfectionistic tendencies, misguided nutritional beliefs, and can cause serious physical and psychological harm to those who engage in self-regulated dieting practices. Counselors play an essential role in addressing an individual’s disorders eating habits and physical or psychological issues by promoting protective factors such as nutritional education, family connectedness, and fostering positive role models. A multidisciplinary approach may include registered dietitians or nutritionists, especially when counseling athletes. Other interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation assist in promoting a positive body image and a healthy relationship with food. Through a compassionate and supportive relationship, counselors can help adolescents navigate the challenges they face with their body image and encourage healthy nutritional well-being to eliminate the physical and physiological risks associated with dieting and eating disorders
Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy for Social Anxiety in Adolescents
Exposure therapy has been around for decades and is still proving to be a robust, evidence-based treatment modality for several psychological issues. Imaginal exposure (vividly imagining a feared object, situation, or activity) and in vivo (directly experiencing the real fear or situation) are the traditional modes of exposure intervention. Although these treatments have shown that they work, they can also be time-consuming, expensive, or even impossible to replicate. A newer exposure therapy combines traditional imaginal therapy with in vivo therapy, but virtually.
This combination creates a middle ground where exposures to situations or fears can be increased or decreased virtually with the counselor’s control, and it can be done safely in the patient’s home or a counseling office. This modality is virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET), or in virtuo. Results have shown that this technology has numerous benefits and has shown effectiveness in treating many psychological disorders in adults, but the application of this technology in youth is unknown. This literature review aims to investigate this gap in the literature and the feasibility of VRET on social anxiety disorders in adolescents.

Data Analytics: Role of Technology in College Sport Training
This study examines how coaches make decisions on player performance, game-day tactics, and injury prevention using performance data technologies, particularly Catapult. A set of coaches from different sports teams was surveyed as part of a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings showed that although coaches use data extensively for player development and game preparation, obstacles such as time restraints, a lack of technology resources, and difficulties interpreting data still exist. The study concludes that while Catapult and similar technologies are useful, improvements in data recording and analysis are required to boost usability and support decision-making. Future studies should concentrate on resolving these issues and investigating the function of data in player development over the long term and during recruitment
