The market of functional foods
In our work, we compare conventional foods with functional foods in terms of consumer perception. Nowadays, in addition to conventional foods, the production of functional foods is becoming more and more widespread globally, including in Hungary. Recently, there is a growing interest in so-called functional foods, hoping that these products are guaranteed to contain a slightly healthier nutrient composition than products made from conventionally (traditionally) grown ingredients. All this opens a new chapter in today’s agricultural production and food production. Consumers are looking for functional foods that inspected and certified, can provide greater safety for consumers, as opposed to conventional foods. But like most healthy foods, functional foods represent a higher price than products that are considered the same in the category but are not „medicinal”.szabadon elérhető / Open acces

Environmental policy integration and its success on settlement level in Hungary
This paper aims to present environmental policy integration and its success on settlement level inHungary. To do so, firstly, the author gives an overview in historical perspective of the rise ofenvironmental protection and environmental policy taking a look at the international level and Hungary.Secondly, the summary of the author’s empirical researches in the topic in the past decades draws thereaders’ attention to the role of the impact of the recent recentralization process in Hungary on theenvironmental actions at urban level, and also highlights the role of the size of settlement inenvironmental policy. The analyses show that the lack of information is crucial in the failure to makepositive environmental actions. On the other hand, in larger, urbanised settlements, due to their higherdevelopment and investment capacity and risk, the role of environmental assessment related to planningactivities is considered more important.szabadon elérhető / Open acces
