Befejezetlen proletarizáció? A vidéki munkaerő-tartaléksereg Magyarországon a 2008-as válságot követően
A magyarországi munkával kapcsolatos kutatások részletesen foglalkoztak a bérmunkából tartósan kirekesztett társadalmi csoportok munkaerőpiaci helyzetével, azonban jóval kevesebb figyelmet szenteltek a bérmunkán túli munkaformák szerepének vizsgálatára.
Financial subsidies and the location decision of solar power plants in Hungary: An empirical investigation
Recent years have witnessed a significant increase in the number of solar power plants worldwide, including in the European Union. In Hungary, solar capacities have increased tenfold in the past three years, primarily due to the lower cost of solar technology and the favourable investment environment. The integration of these weather-dependent power plants into the electricity system, hitherto, has not been a problem in Hungary. However the expected increase in capacity over the next decade may cause grid problems, implying that the decision about the location of solar power plants is not a secondary issue. Hence, this study examines the factors that impact investors’ choice of the optimal installation site and the extent to which financial assistance, primarily operating support, influence this installation decision. This type of research has not yet been undertaken in the Hungarian context. Therefore, our research – based on a questionnaire survey conducted in March 2018 – fills an important gap. In contrast to the conclusions of the extant literature covering other countries, in the case of solar power plants in Hungary the installation location is not based on natural factors (e.g. irradiation) but on the marketability and price of electricity – classified in the financial support category – as well as the network connection options. Additionally, operating support may influence the location of solar power plant installation, which can be used as valuable information for regulation in the course of further expansion of the domestic photovoltaic power generation.szabadon elérhető / Open acces

Az ambivalenciák, azaz a mobilitás megélt jelentései önértelmezésre, önpozicionalizálásra sarkallnak, ami betekintést nyújt a habitus lassú adaptálódásának folyamatába.szabadon elérhető / Open acces
Europe in the late modern social acceleration. The ‘spokespeople’ of European Studies
The paper embraces the concepts of social acceleration and Late Modernity into a multi-theoretical argument. It sheds light on the reflexive and critical shifts, both at individual and institutional-structural level, induced by these processes. Through this lens, the proposed argument revisits the principal fundaments of ‘Europe’; those orienting and underpinning foundations that need to move from the ‘either/or’ framings to the ‘both/and’ logics of pan-relationalism, anti-representationalism, and anti-essentialism. Finally, in the last chapter, the paper (re-)theorizes the role of ‘spokespeople’ in the field of European Studies in order to show how academics/scholars can contribute the most to the reflexive and critical actorness of ‘Europe’ as a multi-layered institutional entity and its European citizens.szabadon elérhető / Open acces

A bizalom kultúrájának próbatétele.
Ezen elméleti feltételezést teszi megragadhatóvá a bizalom, egész pontosan Sztompka érvelése a bizalom kultúrájáról, amely koncepciót felhasználva empirikusan is vizsgálható kérdéseket kapunk. A tanulmányban közölt eredmények megerősítik, hogy a nevezett kedvezőtlen élethelyzetek valóban aláássák az egyén bizalmát, miközben az is világosan kiderül: azon társadalmakban, ahol magas az ilyesféle problémáktól érintettek aránya, ott alacsonyabb a bizalom szintje. Noha az elméleti összefüggések igazolására használt adatok még a járvány előtti időszakból valók, ám a tanulmány okfejtése alapján bizonyosan állíthatjuk: ha közben növekedett a veszélyeztetettek száma, e tendencia mindenképpen káros hatással van az egyén bizalmán túl a megfelelő társadalmi működéshez szükséges bizalom kultúrájára is.Késleltetett elérésű / Embargoe
Facing urban challenges – Tungsram smart city action plan
Closed to three-quarters of Europeans live in cities today, and by the growth of the population worldwide, this ratio is ever increasing. The accelerated speed of urbanization poses unprecedented challenges on people, cities, and the environment. Sustainability became a key global objective since Rio via Tokyo until Paris Agreement. The United Nations prepared an agenda for a better and more sustainable future for all. The 17 Goals are related to global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and the effects of urbanization. Over the last decade, various Smart City approaches have emerged among the government, non-profit sectors, and industries to use Information and Communication Technology as a tool to manage these challenges and to improve the quality of life for their citizens. At the same time, Industry 4.0, the digitalization of industries, has diffused across the world, setting the scene for a new stage of innovation yet keeping the competitiveness of business players. Tungsram, a multinational corporation headquartered in Hungary, has refocused its mission and stood up to expand its product portfolio by including Smart City solutions. Tungsram Edge focuses on three major Smart City offerings: indoor farming, efficient buildings, and Smart Solutions. Indoor farming (AgriTech), a science-based approach to agriculture, uses the latest research to establish precision indoor farming facilities. Efficient buildings (PropTech) has come to life to support the universal goal of reducing cities’ ecological footprint. Each smart solution has a direct or indirect effect on several objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The first part of the paper identifies the key contemporary challenges of cities and industries and the evolution and links of Smart City and Industry 4.0 approaches. The second part of the paper is a case study of a multinational company headquartered in Hungary entering into these processes by building a Smart City Action Plan and by developing key smart products (Smart City portfolio) to react to and to provide solutions for urban challenges.szabadon elérhető / Open acces
