An Overview of Work-Life Integration Among Generation Z Employees

    No full text
Digital transformation has brought about significant changes to the world of work, including how individuals balance their time between professional responsibilities and personal lives. The concept of Work-Life Integration (WLI) is becoming increasingly relevant, especially for Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era and have expectations of flexible work arrangements. This study aims to investigate the level of work-life integration (WLI) among Generation Z workers in Indonesia. A non-experimental, quantitative research method was employed, utilizing purposive sampling for data collection. This study used the Work-Life Limits Enactment Scale as an instrument. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 196 working Generation Z respondents. The results showed that the level of WLI among Generation Z fell into the low category, with a mean score of M = 3.79, which is lower than the hypothetical mean. In addition, the Work-to-Life dimension recorded a higher average score (M=4.04) compared to the Life-to-Work dimension (M=3.54). These findings suggest that Generation Z still faces challenges in integrating their work and personal lives amidst the demands of a flexible work system. This condition can be taken into consideration by companies when formulating policies aimed at improving WLI. In addition, a significant difference (t=2.00, p=0.047) was found between the level of WLI and the presence of household assistants, indicating that the level of WLI in Generation Z is higher than that of Generation Z

    No full text
This study explored the experiences of men with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) who also experienced erectile dysfunction (ED) and delayed seeking medical treatment. Using a phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 male patients, aged 18 and above, who had been using phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors for at least three months. Thematic analysis of the interviews, framed by sexual script theory, identified three key themes. Patients reported feelings of sexual distress, a perceived loss of manhood, and inadequacy as husbands, which negatively affected their wives and relationships. Many initially believed that alternative therapies could cure ED, delaying their pursuit of conventional medical treatment. However, after complementary treatments failed, they recognized the benefits of PDE5 inhibitors. These medications significantly helped patients regain sexual strength, self-esteem, and satisfaction in their relationships. This study underscores the profound impact ED has on the sexual well-being of men with T2DM and highlights the importance of PDE5 inhibitors in improving sexual function and restoring intimacy within couples. It also emphasizes the need for early intervention and education on the effectiveness of medical treatments for ED

The first year of life is a crucial phase in a child’s growth and development, where proper nutrition and sensory stimulation significantly influence physical outcomes, such as weight gain. Infant massage is one of the tactile stimulations that can help improve weight and overall well-being. This study aims to examine and compare the effects of Tuina massage and Johnson's massage on the weight gain of infants aged 0–12 months at the Patia Public Health Center, Pandeglang, in 2025. A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach was employed. Thirty infants were selected using purposive sampling and divided into two intervention groups, with 15 infants receiving Tuina massage and 15 receiving Johnson's massage. The massages were conducted three times over a two-week period. Data were collected using observation sheets and body weight measurements before and after the intervention. The results revealed that both massage techniques significantly increased infant weight. Infants who received Tuina massage experienced an average weight increase from 5.607 kg to 6.687 kg, while those who received Johnson’s massage increased from 4.840 kg to 5.933 kg. Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test showed a significant difference between the two methods (p = 0.025), indicating that Tuina massage was more effective. In conclusion, both Tuina and Johnson's massage positively affect infant weight gain, with Tuina showing greater efficacy in promoting infant growth

Workload and work stress among nurses, especially in the Emergency Room (ER), are crucial issues that affect the quality of health services. This study aims to determine the relationship between nurses’ workload and work stress in the ER of Jampang Kulon Regional General Hospital. A quantitative correlational research design was used with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 29 ER nurses, selected through total sampling. Data were collected using the NASA-TLX (Task Load Index) questionnaire to measure workload and a work stress questionnaire developed based on the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) standards. The results showed that 62.1% of nurses experienced a high workload, while 58.6% experienced moderate work stress. The Spearman rank test indicated a significant positive correlation between workload and work stress (p = 0.001; r = 0.642), meaning that an increase in workload is associated with an increase in work stress. This finding highlights the importance of workload management to reduce stress levels among nurses. Improving work scheduling, increasing staffing ratios, and providing regular stress management programs are recommended to enhance the nurses' well-being and service performance. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between workload and work stress among nurses in the ER of Jampang Kulon Hospital

Assessment of Plant Growth in Aeroponic Systems Integrated with Smart Farming Compared to Conventional Methods

    No full text
The increasing demand for sustainable agriculture in Indonesia and challenges like land scarcity and inefficient resource use have driven interest in innovative farming technologies. This study investigates the comparative effectiveness of an innovative farming-based aeroponic system versus a conventional soil-based system in cultivating green chili. A quantitative experimental design was employed, using IoT-integrated sensors in the aeroponic setup to monitor and control environmental parameters, while the conventional system relied on manual practices. Key growth indicators, including plant height, number of leaves, and wet and dry weight, were measured over a 30-day day. Statistical analysis revealed that the aeroponic system significantly outperformed the conventional system across all parameters (p < 0.05), with dry weight showing the most substantial improvement. These findings underscore the potential of smart aeroponics in enhancing crop productivity and resource efficiency. However, cost, energy dependency, and scalability considerations must be addressed to enable broader adoption. The study contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting precision agriculture as a viable strategy for sustainable food production
