The population and sample in this study amounted to 40 employees. The method in this study used saturated sampling. The results showed that simultaneous testing obtained a value of fhitung> ftabel (22.466> 2.64). Sig value of 0.000 < 0,05. This means that simultaneously there is a significant effect of the reward system (X1), work discipline (X2), and work life balance (X3) together. Through the test results of the Coefficient of Determination, it can be seen that the fcount value 22.466. This value is greater than ftabel 2.64 (22.466 < 2.64). Sig value of 0.000. This value is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). This means that there is a positive and significant effect of the reward system (X1), work discipline (X2), and work life balance (X3) together on employee performance (Y). Reward system has a significant effect on employee work discipline at PT Pegadaian Pringgan Medan Branch. Work-Life Balance has no significant effect on employee work discipline at PT. Association of perirenal fat thickness, abdominal subcutaneous fat thickness and renal sinus fat diameter with hepatic steatosis
Hepatic steatosis (HS), characterized by the abnormal accumulation of triglycerides within hepatocytes, is a prevalent pathological condition. However, its detection rate often underestimates its true prevalence, particularly when assessed using abdominal computed tomography (CT) scans. This quantitative cross-sectional study, conducted from September 2024 to February 2025 at Royal Prima Hospital, aimed to investigate the associations of perirenal fat thickness (PrFT), abdominal subcutaneous fat thickness (ASFT), and renal sinus fat diameter (RSFD) with HS. A non-probability sampling method was utilized, and a total of 272 non-contrast abdominal CT scans were analyzed. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS software. HS was defined as an average hepatic parenchymal Hounsfield Unit (HU) value at least 10 HU lower than that of the spleen, with an absolute hepatic HU attenuation of less than 40. The grading of HS was determined according to the CT liver-spleen (L-S) ratio: mild (0.7 < CT L-S < 1.0), moderate (0.5 < CT L-S < 0.7), and severe (CT L-S < 0.5). The results demonstrated a significant association between the mean right-left PrFT and the presence of HS (p = 0.007), suggesting that perirenal fat may contribute to the development of HS. In contrast, neither the mean right-left RSFD nor the ASFT showed a significant association with HS presence (p = 0.056 and p = 0.904, respectively). Furthermore, none of the fat measurements (PrFT, ASFT, and RSFD) were significantly associated with the grading of hepatic steatosis (p = 0.800, 0.288, and 0.996, respectively). These findings underscore the potential utility of PrFT as a non-invasive indicator for HS diagnosis. The study also highlights the importance of quantitative measurements, such as hepatic and splenic HU values and CT L-S ratios, for the accurate diagnosis of HS, as visual assessment alone may be insufficient
Gambaran Kualitas Hidup Pasien dengan Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Rumah Sakit Umum Royal Prima Medan
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia and insulin resistance, with a prevalence that continues to increase globally and nationally. In Indonesia, the prevalence of diabetes has shown a steady upward trend, and Medan City is among the regions with a significant burden, where recent local health reports indicated that diabetes cases accounted for approximately 31.4% of non-communicable diseases in 2022. RSU Royal Prima Medan, as one of the main referral hospitals for T2DM management, receives a large number of patients, many of whom present with complications that adversely affect their quality of life. This study aimed to describe the quality of life among T2DM patients at RSU Royal Prima Medan. A descriptive design was employed involving 35 respondents diagnosed with T2DM, assessed using the Diabetes Quality of Life Clinical Trial Questionnaire (DQLCTQ), and analyzed through univariate methods. The findings showed that only 31.4% of respondents had a good quality of life (score > 60), while 68.6% reported a poor quality of life (score < 60). The lowest mean scores were observed in the domains of treatment effect, health distress, physical function, energy, personal health perception, and symptom frequency. These results indicate that most patients with T2DM in this setting have suboptimal quality of life. Strengthening patient education, encouraging regular medical consultations, promoting light physical activity, managing stress with family support, and fostering early symptom recognition are essential strategies to improve their overall well-being
