How to Teach Japanese Culture to Overseas Japanese Learners -Practice of Class Incorporating Acitve Learning Method-
Get PDFThis study is a practice report of the cultural classes conducted for overseas students of the Japanese language through the active learning method. In recent years, the importance of cultural education has been emphasized in the Japanese language education. Along with that, not only in Japan but also overseas, it aimed to shift from unilateral teaching method to active learning method. In this paper, we attempted to devise cultural classes where students were able to actively. The target students selected for this study were students in the Department of Japanese Language in Bali, Indonesia. Because Indonesia is known to have many Japanese language learners in the world and they have a high interest in Japanese culture. The classes adopted five themes: country introduction, language, seasons and annual events, cities, and culture. These classes were devised according to five principles: participation and interaction, creation of thoughts through the comparison of Japan with the students’ home country, shift the focus of students’ to their environment, alternation of group activities and teacher lectures and the creation of further opportunities that enable students to express themselves in Japanese. As a result, the majority of the students were able to increase their output in Japanese. And the students’ attitudes toward classes changed actively. Furthermore, students were able to express their opinions about their culture in Japanese. Of course, the curiosity of the students` Japanese culture became more vigorous. Analysis of cases of childcare accidents involving a defect in the structure and facilities of a nursery school（２）
Get PDF保育事故の防止のためには、保育者による日々の保育の環境整備だけではなく、保育を行う場である保育所の構造設備そのものについても関心を持つ必要がある。本稿は、以上の問題意識の下、保育施設の構造設備の安全性を争点に含む保育事故の裁判例について検討し、保育施設の構造設備の安全について、事故防止の観点から若干の考察を試みるものである。検討する裁判例は、①市立保育所における園児の転倒負傷事故の事例（東京地裁八王子支部1998（平成10）年12月7日判決、判例地方自治188号73頁）と、②園舎屋上駐車場からの自動車転落による園児の死亡事故の事例（名古屋高裁2006（平成18）年2月15日判決、判例時報1948号82頁）の２つである。本稿では、本紀要の第15号において、①の裁判例について検討を行い、本紀要第16号において、②の裁判例についての検討を行う。departmental bulletin pape
A Study about the children's human relations in the bugs catch at the kindergarten
Get PDF幼稚園で好きな遊びの時間に、ムシ捕りをしている幼児に注目し、人間関係にどのような学びがあるかを明らかにするために、ムシ捕りの12事例を、「人間関係を理解し調整する力」21項目の「学びの評価言語」として分類した。事例別と学年別に分類した結果、「思うようにならないことを経験する」、「自分がされて嫌なことは、そのことを態度や言葉で説明する」「仲間のトラブルに介入したり、関係を調整したりする」など「嫌なこと」を経験したり解決したりすることに関する項目が多く該当していることが示された。ムシ捕りは複雑なルールや明確なルールがなく、単純にムシを捕まえる遊びであるからこそ、ムシの所有権を争うなどのトラブルになりやすく、幼児は「嫌なこと」に対し、どのように他者と調整するのかの学びがあることが示された。departmental bulletin pape

How to cultivate the ability to correctly understand the Japanese language：Focusing on classes that use literature as teaching materials
Get PDFこの研究は「国語を正確に理解する」ということをどう捉え具体化するか、また文学の授業で「正確に理解する」ということが求められるのか、という点について明らかにすることを目的としたものである。「言葉の意味・働き・使い方を適用させることによって文と言葉とを関係づける」という「言葉レベルの読み」を用いた文学の授業を取り上げ、国語を正確に理解するための有効性を検証した。「正確さ」というのはある基準に適していることが求められる。その意味で、この授業では言葉の意味という客観的な証拠に基づいた理解を求めるため、一般的に多く見られる授業での理解に比べて、より正確な理解だと言えるのではないだろうか。また文学は、作者が意味・働き・使い方を意識した言葉が「仕掛け」として使われているので、文学の授業で「正確に理解する」ことを求めることは有意であると考える。「国語を正確に理解する」ためには日本語の正しい意味と使い方を知ることが大前提であることは言うまでもないが、その意味でこの授業方法はかなり有効なのではないだろうか。さらなる実践例の検証が必要である。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFColonialist imperialism and globalisation have been a linguistic and anthropological disaster, with large numbers of languages and cultures being completely wiped out. People have lost their voice, their lands and their identities. An examination of the literature investigating a range of linguistic groups, shows that language and identity are inextricably linked. People who have lost their heritage language have often lost their connection with their community, their identity and therefore themselves. They often have a lower level of education, and can experience social problems. In the past few decades, researchers have shown that for a firm identity to exist, it’s crucial to have proficiency in one’s heritage language. While this has led to several positive steps, including the UN’s declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples, these initiatives often stop at recognition, and few, if any, steps are actually taken to preserve and maintain ethnic identities and heritage languages.departmental bulletin pape
A Study on the Distress of Females University Students(2): Based on a Free Description Questionnaire

Willingness to Communicate: A Case Study
Get PDFWillingness to Communicate (WTC) is a useful conceptual construct in examining second language (L2) communication. This case study utilizes the WTC construct to investigate one student’s willingness or unwillingness to engage in second language (L2) use with native English speaker (NES) and Japanese students of English and examines how the participant’s responses demonstrate links to other components of the WTC construct.
