The Effect of Creativity on Entrepreneurial Motivation
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of creativity on entrepreneurial motivation in students of the Faculty of Economics, State University of Padang. The population in this study were 1,209 students. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling in order to obtain a sample of 300 students. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study using simple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that creativity has a significant and positive effect on student entrepreneurial motivation

Get PDFTujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk Mendeskripsikan Kualitas Pelayanan Publik pada Kasi Administrasi Kependudukan di Kecamatan Padang Selatan, Untuk mengetahui kendala Kualitas Pelayanan Publik Pada Kasi Administrasi Kependudukan di Kecamatan Padang Selatan, Dan untuk Mendeskripsikan upaya dalam mengatasi kendala-kendala yang ditemui dalam Kualitas Pelayanan Publik Pada Kasi Administrasi Kependudukan di Kecamatan Padang Selatan.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif Kualitatif.
Teknik Pemilihan informan dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer didapat melalui observasi dan wawancara sedangkan data sekunder didapat melalui dokumentasi.Penelitian menggunakan teknik analisis data yang terdiri dari reduksi data,display data dan kesimpulan (varifikasi).Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kualitas Pelayanan Publik Pada Kasi Administrasi Kependudukan Di kantor Kecamatan Padang Selatan Kota Padang sudah berjalan sesuai aturan tetapi belum optimal dalam pelaksanaannya.
Adapun faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas pelayanan antara lain: Sumber daya manusia,kesadaran masyarakat yang kurang khususnya dalam melengkapi syarat-syarat administratif pelayanan serta kekosongan pegawai menyebabkan pelayanan yang lebih lama dari waktu yang ditentukan
Realization of The Politeness Principles used by Atas Market and Bawah Market Muara Bungo Traders in Their Speech to The Buyer
Get PDFThis research is motivated by the utterances of traders in the Atas market and Bawah markets of Muara Bungo, which have a good politeness value. In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach in which data results were based on existing observations and interpretations. The data studied were the stories of traders recorded in the Atas and Bawah markets of Muara Bungo. After recording the data is transcribed and grouped based on the type of speaker. After that, the data will be analyzed in terms of compliance with and violations of the principles of decency according to Leech theory. The realization of courtesy of the Atas market traders and the Bawah markets in Muara Bungo both have a good politeness value. Through the author\u27s observations, the Atas market traders are more friendly than the Bawah market
Code-Mixing Analysis in Speech Act Used by Classy FM Radio Announcer
Get PDFThis study uses sociopragmatic theory, especially regarding code-mixing in speech acts at opening an event, greeting the listeners, and talking to interviewees. The purpose of writing is to determine the form of code-mixing and explain the meaning of the code-mixing used by the radio announcer, whether it is entered into locus, illocution, or perlocution. This paper is divided into three stages. The first stage is to provide data using the listening method by listening to radio broadcasts followed by the recording method. At the analysis stage, the data obtained were analyzed using related theories. At the last stage, it is making the conclusions and suggestions.
In this research, the average Classy FM radio announcers use code-mixing in their speech acts when broadcasting. Apart from being influenced by the names of the programs that is titled in English, it is also influenced by the standardization of the words used by Classy FM itself. For example, to invite the listeners to keep listening, the term”keep in tune" is used. The term of Classy FM listeners refers to the term ”Classy People," and many other terms are used. Besides, it is also found that in one speech act, there are three types of actions that are included in it, namely the act of locus, illocution, and perlocution. The Analysis of Figurative Language in Coldplay’s Parachutes Album
Get PDFFigurative language is language that uses various kinds of figures. Figurative language is a form of using language in the form of a comparison or parable. This research analyze figurative language in Coldplay\u27s song lyrics. The data source is taken from all song lyrics of Parachutes album by Coldplay. The purposes of this research are: (1) to describe the types of figurative language found in Coldplay song lyrics, (2) to explain the meaning of figurative language contained in the selected song lyrics, and (3) to find out the types of figurative language is dominantly used in Coldplay song lyrics. This research uses qualitative descriptive method.
The data analysis of this research is to follow the following steps: selecting songs that contain figurative language, identifying types of figurative language by reading carefully, classifying types of figurative language from the data, and making conclusions. The results of this research show that the total number of figurative languages used in the lyrics of the song parachutes Coldplay is 35 types of figurative language. Which consists of: 2 simile, 3 repetition, 9 metaphor, 8 hyperbole, and 13 rhetoric. The type of figurative language most dominantly is rhetoric

This research has limitation by the chosen of platform and software with Borland C++, the source of the datum also considered to be the basic material so that this thesis doesn’t has many problems to solve.By the observation method which is followed by these three crucial problems: (1) The Identification of semiotic problem in symbols from computer language to English language, (2) The Identification of semiotic problem in declarations from computer language to English language, (3) The Identification of semiotic problem in declarations from computer language to English language.
The implication of the problem here is how the researcher convert the C language into English language patterns.The purpose of this research is equally to identify and analyze the symbols, punctuations and declarations from the Borland C++ platform and converting it into English comprehensions. Analisis kepuasan masyarakat digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan yang diterima. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara melakukan survei terhadap 100 orang warga penerima pelayanan publik. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa warga merasa puas dengan pelayanan yang diberikan oleh Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Kota Padang. Sehingga orang tidak peduli terhadap pengelolaan surat.Suatu organisasi atau lembaga yang memiliki aktivitas yang padat sering dihadapkan pada persoalan-persoalan administrasi khususnya dalam bidang surat menyurat. Persoalan yang sering terjadi antara lain keamanan surat yang kurang terjamin, banyak surat yang hilang atau rusak.
