How Gender Shapes Students' Learning Strategies in the Post-Pandemic Era
Get PDFThis research aims to see the differences in Self Regulated Learning (SRL) skills in female and male students at Soe City High School, South Central Timor Regency. The sample consisted of 75 male students and 103 female students. The sampling technique in this research used the Slovin formula. The instrument used to measure Self Regulated Learning consists of 39 question items declared valid and received a reliability test value of 0.955. The results show that the self-regulated learning skills of female students are higher than that of male students. With the results, the mean value of SRL skills for female students amounting to 117.13, and for male students amounting to 104.92
Competency-Based Language Teaching: Personalized learning and Interaction in Speaking Skills Instruction at Grade 4
Get PDFThe study aimed to investigate the implementation of personalized learning and monitoring the progress of students' speaking skills in Competency-Based Language Teaching. Additionally, the study aimed to evaluate the level of interaction created in the class to develop speaking skills in the context of Competency-Based Language Teaching. The study used a mixed-methods approach and a descriptive survey design. A random sample of 97 English teachers was selected to fill out a questionnaire, and six schools were chosen for classroom observation and teacher interviews. The study used various methods to collect data, including a questionnaire, observation, and interview and employed both quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods. The results indicated that there was inadequate implementation of the two components of Competency-Based Education, namely personalized learning to monitoring students’ progress in speaking skills. The finding also showed that there was insufficient interaction intended for the mastery of speaking skills competencies. The study recommends that teachers implement Competency-Based Language Teaching components such as personalized learning and monitoring the progress of students learning practically in spoken language instruction. Additionally, there should be adequate interaction in the class to meet the required competencies in speaking skills
The Effectiveness of Guidance and Counseling Monopoly Media for Increasing Academic Self-Efficacy for High School Students
Get PDFThis study aims to ascertain whether the use of guidance and counseling monopoly game media can increase high school students' self-efficacy in their academic endeavors. Five students from class XI with low academic self-efficacy measurement scores participated in this study using an experimental method with a one-group pre-posttest design. The instrument for measuring academic self-efficacy is a data collection technique used in this study. The t test was used in parametric data analysis by the researchers. It can be seen from the results of the t test that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted because sig (2-tailed) has a value of 0.010, which means <0.05. According to research findings, monopoly guidance and counseling media have an effect on helping high school students increase their academic self-efficacy by using group guidance services
Effectiveness of Fleming Model Towards Mathematics Learning Achievement in Terms of Student’s Learning Motivation of Grade VII Students of SMP Negeri 18 Buton Tengah
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine that the Fleming learning model is effective for mathematics learning achievement when viewed from the learning motivation of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 18 Central Buton. This research is an experimental research, which was conducted on grade VII B students as an experimental class and VII B as a control class at SMP Negeri 18 Buton Tengah, semester 2 of the 2018/2019 academic year. Data collection in this study was carried out using research instruments in the form of tests and questionnaire items to both groups, to measure student achievement and learning motivation on flat building material, especially triangles. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis and inferential analysis and hypothesis test in the form of ancova test. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the Fleming learning model is not effective for mathematics learning achievement based on the learning motivation of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 18 Central Buton. However, when viewed from the influence of the learning model, the learning model affects learning achievement, this can be seen from the average student learning achievement before and after being treated, in the results of descriptive analysis of student learning achievement. Student learning motivation is high, but the learning motivation of experimental and control class students is the same, so there is no significant influence on student achievement

However, many people do not know the meaning contained in Banyuwangi udeng. In addition, the existence of Banyuwangi udeng has not been known by the outside world as a local cultural identity. The results of the discussion showed that the Osing people tend to use practical Banyuwangi udeng . This is the influence of the development of science and technology. The use of Banyuwangi udeng gives symbolic meaning through its shape. Among them are man's life to God, others and nature; gender equality, and strong relationships between people. The existence of udeng Banyuwangi is the result of the hard work of the Osing tribe itself, the people of Banyuwangi, and the government through the culture of wearing udeng in the government, schools, and other activities
