Determinants of Fraud Prevention with Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) As Moderation
Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of Leadership Style and Organizational Commitment on fraud prevention efforts. Then, to analyze the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) moderating the influence of Leadership Style and Organizational Commitment on efforts to prevent fraud. This research is included in explanatory research. This research was carried out at the NTB Provincial Government with research subjects namely Civil Servants who are in Regional Apparatus who are responsible for seven MCP Intervention Areas with a sample of 95 people. The data collection technique used in this research is a questionnaire. Data analysis in the research used SEM-PLS with the Smart PLS version 4.0 program. The research results show that (1) Leadership style positively and significantly affects fraud prevention in the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government. (2) Organizational Commitment has a positive and significant effect on fraud prevention. (3) The Monitoring Center For Prevention (MCP) moderates leadership style toward fraud prevention in a negative direction. This indicates that MCP weakens the influence of leadership style on fraud prevention. (4) The Monitoring Center For Prevention (MCP) moderates the organization's commitment to fraud prevention positively. This shows that with the MCP, organizational commitment is further strengthened in preventing fraud
A Study of Psychological Realism in Holland’s Cinematic: Adaptation of James’s Washington Square
Get PDFThis comparative article studies how the oppressed daughter in Holland’s cinematic adaptation of Washington Square (1880) takes rule and analyzes the process through which it occurs via semiotics, images and symbols deployed in the light of psychological realism. Eventually managing to modify her status from a powerless girl into a nurturing one, she turns out to be capable of nurturing children experiencing what she has once experienced. In this study, the steps she takes comprising her mental processes, i.e., attaining identity, having herself authenticate, deploying significant silence, retaliating, securing the upper position, and acquiring self-development have all been analyzed. Even though the film concentrates on Catherine, the tale is as much Dr. Sloper's story, for her father acts somewhat as her foil bringing out her characteristics more clearly when portraying both her being oppressed by others and her emerging desire to grow and attain independence. Also, since demonstrating Catherine’s psyche is of prime significance, the audio-visual art deployed presenting gestures, facial expressions and a symbolically suggestive mise-en-sce-ne in order to provide clues of her psychic unfolding revealed for the viewer have been included in this study
Disciplinary Development of Police Members (Case Study on Members of the Bekasi Regency Metro Police Range Who Indicated Using Narcotics)

Employing qualitative evaluation, the study reveals the significance of professionalism in ensuring effective discipline among Indonesian National Police members, thus fostering adherence to regulations and disciplined policing. Utilizing Government Regulation Number 2 of 2003 as a disciplinary enforcement framework, the research integrates legal norms and disciplinary principles while highlighting the pivotal role of the provost within the police structure. In the context of Southeast Asia, the study underscores the inefficacy of handling problematic police personnel due to challenges in policy communication, resource allocation, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Addressing limitations, the research focuses solely on police officers involved in narcotics cases, signaling broader structural challenges within the police force. Ensuring the Longevity of Caci Tradition: Addressing Distortions and Promoting Authenticity
Get PDFCaci is a traditional whip-fighting game played in some parts of Indonesia, particularly within the Manggarai community on Flores Island. As a significant cultural heritage, it is crucial to preserve and promote the authenticity of this tradition. However, Caci faces several challenges, including potential distortions that arise due to various factors. This paper aims to explore how stakeholders can collaborate to ensure the longevity of the Caci tradition while addressing these potential distortions. We have identified various factors that could lead to the distortion of the Caci tradition, such as commercialization, modernization, and lack of awareness. To tackle these issues, we propose a comprehensive strategy involving all stakeholders in a dialogue. This strategy includes the development of educational programs, the establishment of a certification system, and the utilization of digital media to promote the authenticity of the Caci tradition. The proposed strategy aims to ensure the preservation and promotion of the Caci tradition as a sacred and authentic cultural heritage for future generations

Get PDFThe application of the law to a criminal for an act that is against the relevant legal requirements is known as criminal responsibility. Because defamation involves insults that cause the reputation of another person to be tarnished, it is inherently a crime against honor. Article 310 of the Criminal Code states that it is forbidden for anyone to purposefully harm another person's reputation or honor by spreading false information, particularly if the accusation is made in writing or through an image that is shared, broadcast, or posted online. Nonetheless, advancements in technology allow for the use of social media for defamatory conduct. This research aims to explain law enforcement against criminal acts of defamation committed via social media based on Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions. The method used in this research is normative legal research. The study's findings clarify that, by Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, Article 27 Paragraph (3) prohibits anyone from willfully and without authorization disseminating, transmitting, or creating accessible electronic information or documents. The process of putting the law into effect and punishing lawbreakers is known as law enforcement. Penalties for criminal defamation on social media may include jail time or fines, depending on the terms of the relevant legislation
Balance of Threat Analysis in Resolving the Diplomatic Crisis of Qatar and Saudi Arabia in 2017-2020

Despite having the lowest military expenditure among Gulf countries, Qatar diverged from Saudi Arabia's policy of fostering stability in the Persian Gulf region to distance itself from groups deemed a threat to the domestic politics of other Gulf nations. Qatar's pursuit of greater democratic freedoms and a more moderate approach to international relations prompted Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations to impose a diplomatic blockade in 2017. Despite this, Qatar's flexible foreign policy helped it avoid a prolonged domestic crisis. Establishing ties with nearby countries like Iran and Turkey and acquiring fighter aircraft from France and the United States garnered international support beyond its region. This research will examine Qatar's efforts to navigate the diplomatic crisis using a balance of threat approach—a key concept in Neorealism theory that posits an anarchic international structure requiring countries to navigate the global political stage for survival

This research delves deeper into the factors that influence a person's entrepreneurial intention to engage in social entrepreneurship activities, namely empathy, self-efficacy, moral obligation, perceived social support, previous experience related to social issues, and entrepreneurship education. This article is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) that explores various related articles published in reputable journals contained in the Scopus database for 20 years, from 2004 to 2023. This research is expected to contribute to providing a quick and accurate reference for academics and practitioners in the field of social entrepreneurship. In addition, it can provide insight into how the influence of social entrepreneurial intention factors developed by Mair Noboa (2006) and Holkert (2017) in the last two decades in various countries. In general, this research can help develop programs and policies that support the sustainable growth of social entrepreneurship in Indonesia

Get PDFThe birth of the Law on Advocates was the result of a long struggle since the Dutch colonial period, where previously the legal position of advocates did not have a clear function in the legal system and judicial system. In the post-independence period, one by one organic laws in the field of justice and judicial power were fully implemented. Various organizations that oversee advocates have emerged, one of the most famous of which is Balie van Advocaten, which later changed to the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADIN) in 1963. This type of research is normative which uses a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. Results / Findings / Novelty of the Research: The legislative approach is through a legal review of Law No. 18 of 2003 concerning Advocates and also the Role of Advocates / Legal Advisors as part of Providing Legal Aid in the Criminal Justice System regulated in Law No. 16 of 2011 concerning Legal Aid. Students’ Perceptions of Think-Pair-Share Technique in Promoting Students’ Communication Skills in an EFL Context
Get PDFMany students experience reluctance to speak in a foreign language due to anxiety and nervousness, which adversely affect their communication abilities. This study explores students' perspectives on the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) technique as a method to enhance oral communication skills in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context. A purposive sampling technique was employed to select five participants based on their experiences with the TPS strategy. Data were collected through narrative frames and semi-structured in-depth interviews. The findings reveal that the TPS technique significantly enhances students' self-confidence and oral communication skills when English is used as the medium of discussion. Additionally, students found the TPS strategy beneficial for encouraging active participation, fostering collaborative learning, and providing opportunities for practice and feedback. Moreover, TPS was found to aid in developing critical thinking skills by encouraging students to engage in discussions and share knowledge through peer interactions. The study concludes that, for the TPS technique to be fully effective, careful implementation is required, taking into account its advantages and potential impacts on students. These findings suggest that TPS is a valuable instructional strategy that can create a supportive learning environment, enhancing both communication skills and overall classroom engagement in EFL settings
The Influence of Implementing the School Literacy Movement and the Use of Information Technology in Learning on the Quality of Education in Labuapi District State Primary Schools
Get PDFQuality of education is a serious concern so various efforts can be made to improve it. One is increasing school literacy and using information technology in learning. This research aims to examine the influence of implementing the school literacy movement and the use of information technology in learning on the quality of education. In this research, the approach used is a quantitative descriptive approach with a comparative causal research method. The sample in this study consisted of 83 teachers in ten State Elementary Schools in Labuapi District. The data in this research was obtained using a questionnaire. The statement format in the questionnaire has answer choices given a score of 1-4 based on a Likert scale. After the data was obtained, the results were presented descriptively and processed for hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression, T-test, and F-test using SPSS version 25. The research results showed that the School Literacy Movement positively and significantly affected the Quality of Education. Information Technology has a positive and significant effect on the Quality of Education. The School Literacy Movement and the Use of Information Technology significantly affect the Quality of Education in Labuapi District State Primary Schools
