Pobhinci-bhinciki kuli: An accounting research methodology based on the cultural philosophy of the butonese people
This research aims to develop an accounting research methodology based on the cultural philosophy of the Butonese people, “pobhinci-bhinciki kuli”. In the Wolio language (Buton Sultanate), pobhinci-bhinciki kuli means pinching each other’s skin or feeling like they are in the same boat. This research uses a literature review method. Validity is confirmed through interviews with Butonese cultural figures, sociologists, anthropologists and writers. The findings indicate that research methodology developed from local wisdom can be used to produce research that is more holistic in describing the reality of Indonesian society. The Butonese people’s philosophy of life “pobhinci-bhinciki kuli” upholds purity of feeling, as an indicator. The feeling in question is a divine feeling that is continuously felt and pursued through kangkilo (purity). Therefore, the scientific implications of using pobhinci-bhinciki kuli will return to the authenticity of the local wisdom of Indonesian society which is always oriented towards the main value of purity in moving towards true divinity by prioritizing the integrity of reality. The achievements of science are not only rational but united and moving in the purity of awareness of holiness in its theoretical, research and empirical forms in accounting research methodology

This study aims to examine the effect of using the QRIS payment system on MSME development in Ambon City through Theory of Acceptance Model. It uses the sample from all MSME culinary delights in Ambon City, taken based on the determined criteria such as meeting the criteria are 45 SMEs. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, which was processed by the SPSS version 21. The result shows that partially Perceived Usefulness and Perceived ease of use have a significant influence on the development of MSMEs in Ambon City. The more useful QRIS is, the more MSMEs will develop, as well as the easier it is to use QRIS, so it will be easy for business actors to adapt and their businesses will develop. It practically implies that MSMEs in Ambon City are getting more and more aware that the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use available in the QRIS are able to encourage business development. Apart from that, Bank Indonesia as the promoter of QRIS implementation for MSMEs needs to monitor entrepreneurs using QRIS so that they can answer any obstacles they still face. Theoretically, it also implies that this research provides a new area of research not only limited to interest in using it but directly towards the application of new technology and its influence on the development of MSMEs

Human resources accounting optimization: A conceptual pathway to improve financial performance
This research discussed HRA’s impact on a company’s financial performance. Human Resource Accounting (HRA) is measured by using 16 indicators, while financial performance uses 4 indicators, which consist of return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), firm size, and leverage ratio. The analytical method used is binary logistic regression. The result shows that none of the HRA indicators affect ROA, while the other three are still affected by HRA indicators. Employment report indicators and other employee benefits in HRA indexes significantly affect ROE. Human resource policy, human resource development fund, and superannuation fund affect firm size the most. The last leverage ratio is significantly affected by human resource policy. This research has implications for manufacturing companies to increase information transparency for investors in the capital market through the sustainability disclosure of periodical HRA reports. Meanwhile, it is recommended that the government take action to encourage HRA disclosure for public companies in Indonesia by making the standards and regulations needed
Peran bias perilaku investor dalam proses pengambilan keputusan dan kinerja investasi
This study aims to determine whether investor bias, including heuristic and herding biases, has an impact on investors’ investment behaviour, particularly in Indonesia. The sample was taken by purposive sampling, which is a non-probability sampling technique. This technique is used to identify respondents who have already made stock investments on the stock exchange. This study used 154 investor respondents, specifically those who started investing in stock from various range of age. The study employs path analysis using the Smart-PLS software tool for data analysis. The results of this study show that heuristic bias is proven to have a significant positive effect on investors’ investment decisions and performance. Furthermore, investment decisions are proven to mediate the effect of heuristic bias on investor investment performance. On the other hand, herding bias is not proven to have an effect on investor investment decisions and performance. In addition, investor investment decisions are also not proven to mediate the effect of herding bias on investor investment performance. Based on the results of this study, investors need to be aware of the role of heuristic bias to make more rational decisions that can ultimately improve investor investment performance
Peran literasi keuangan syariah dan pendapatan terhadap utang konsumsi di Surabaya
This research aims to analyze the influence of sharia financial literacy and family income on household consumption debt in Surabaya. This research method uses a quantitative approach through questionnaires to 115 house-holds in Surabaya. The sample in this study was Surabaya City house-holds, which the researchers obtained based on established criteria. The sample that met the criteria was 115 households. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression tests, which are processed through the SPSS application. The research results show that partial sharia financial literacy does not have a significant influence on household consumption debt, while family income has a significant negative influence on consumption debt. The better the sharia financial literacy, the higher the household consumption debt; on the other hand, the higher the income, the lower the consumption debt. The implications of the results of this research are that households play an active role in Sharia financial inclusion but do not understand or study Sharia financial literacy. The high level of household consumption debt is influenced by needs and lifestyle. The household income factor is wiser in its use, where households with higher incomes tend to have lower consumption debt
Designing Entrepreneurial Intention with Personal Values Using Soft Systems Methodology-Based Action Research
The employment landscape in Indonesia is increasingly intricate and demands serious attention. Persistently high unemployment rates, coupled with a lower entrepreneurship ratio compared to other Southeast Asian nations, underscore the urgency for initiatives addressing entrepreneurial intention. Establishing an entrepreneurial intention program, anchored in personal values considerations, is imperative to align policies with community needs and ensure effective implementation. This study endeavors to craft entrepreneurial intentions intertwined with personal values, aimed at bolstering the entrepreneurial aspirations of both students and the broader community. The development of such a program involves a series of human activities ideally suited for analysis through soft systems methodology (SSM). Leveraging SSM, this study puts forth recommendations advocating for synergistic collaboration among the government, universities, entrepreneurs, and banking sectors. The objective is to devise a branding strategy for entrepreneurship, positioning it as an avenue for self-development and practical training enhancement through digital platforms. Effective implementation of this proposed program hinges on collaboration and synergistic communication among all stakeholders. It is essential for each entity involved to contribute collaboratively towards the seamless execution of this initiative
Dancing with Uncertainty: Unraveling Firm Investment Inefficiencies in the Asia Pacific Region
This study explores the intricate relationship between uncertainty and corporate investment inefficiencies in the Asia-Pacific region, utilizing data from non-financial firms between 2008 and 2021. The method used in the study is fixed effect regression with Driscoll-Kraay robust standard error. The empirical analysis unveils that uncertainty leads to overinvestment. This phenomenon is more pronounced in middle and low-income economies, while high-income countries display a distinct trend of less susceptibility to uncertainty-induced suboptimal investment choices. The study’s implications extend to policymakers and industry stakeholders, urging a closer examination of firms’ risk management strategies, particularly considering the strategic potential of overinvestment as a buffer against uncertainty’s adverse effects. This holds particular significance in the dynamic economic landscape of the Asia-Pacific countries, where the study contributes to a deeper understanding of the interplay between uncertainty and inefficiency of investment decisions across diverse economic settings
Sharia Bank Deposits and Financing: Does Economic Turbulence Matter?
The decline in national economic performance as a result of COVID-19 can cause a reduction in company and community income, which will reduce the availability of third-party funds and financing channeled by Sharia banks. This research aims to examine the determinants of third-party deposits and Sharia bank financing in Indonesia using a sample of ten Sharia banks from 2017-2022 that did not carry out mergers or acquisitions. Testing was also carried out on each type of deposit and financing contract because of the potential for different behavior between types of contracts. Data were analyzed using panel data techniques, where the selected model had a fixed effect. The test results prove that there is a positive reciprocal influence between third-party deposits and Sharia bank financing. Economic turbulence has a significant negative impact on deposits, but it is not significant on financing. This turbulence significantly only reduced profit-sharing deposits but not wadiah deposits. Likewise, this economic condition only has a negative impact on financing with receivables contracts but not on profit-sharing financing. This finding implies the importance of Sharia banks in maintaining adequate availability of third-party funds to support financing growth. The Government and Bank Indonesia are important to maintain economic stability. Furthermore, the Financial Services Authority needs to increase monitoring of banks with low capital because of the potential for moral hazard
