Analysis of the major issues in Cloud Computing Environments

    Get PDF
Cloud computing is a model for enabling service user’s ubiquitous, convenient and on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources. Cloud computing is a promising technology to facilitate development of large-scale, on-demand, flexible computing infrastructures. But without security embedded into innovative technology that supports cloud computing, businesses are setting themselves up for a fall. The trend of frequently adopting this technology by the organizations automatically introduced new risk on top of existing risk. Obviously putting everything into a single box i.e. into the cloud will only make it easier for hacker. This paper presents an overview and the study of the cloud computing. Also include the several security and challenging issues, emerging application and the future trends of cloud computing

ANALYZING WEB LOGS OF AN ASTROLOGICAL WEBSITE USING KEY INFLUENCERS

    Get PDF
With the growth of Internet, websites have become a dynamic tool in the market for every business to both acquire and service their customers. Online presence through websites has given them a global and wider reach. Good design and well management are the two key aspects of the effective website to catch the attention of visitors. Nowadays, the analysis and behavior of website visitors can be used to convert them into customers and serve them in a better way. This can be carried out on the weblogs which are generated as a result of user’s access to a website. This paper aims to study the log files of an astrological website. An astrological website has not gained much attention in the internet community as people prefer going to the astrologers in person to resolve their problems. The log files of an astrology website were taken, preprocessed and analyzed using Analyze Key Influencers technique a feature of Microsoft SQL Server Data Mining Add-ins for Microsoft Office 2007. The information obtained can be used to enhance the effectiveness of the website

Evaluation of Relation between Rainfall and El Nino Phenomena in Iran

    Get PDF
In this study El Nino effects on rainfall in Iran is evaluated. Annual rainfall data of the selected rain gauging stations for the years when El Nino phenomenon has taken place (1973-2012), have been picked up. Next, annual rainfall of the years with and without El Nino phenomenon were compared and then analyzed (correlation is significant at the 0.01 level). Finally, percentage-frequency of the rainfalls influenced by warm Enso condition was obtained. Regarding that El Nino has different affect on rainfall under different regions of the world, the results approved that El Nino, increases rainfall across Iran plateau as annual rainfall is increased from south to north. While less increasing of rainfall is seen for coastal area. Results showed that El Nino causes increasing of annual rainfall in Iran

Sustainable Architecture of the Bazaar of Tabriz and its relation with the social and cultural aspects

    Get PDF
ABSTRACT - Sustainable architecture aims to design buildings and infra-structures, such as squares and bazaars, adapted to the social, economic, cultural and environmental contexts of certain place. The practice of sustainable architecture contributes to sustainable development, therefore for the development of future generations. The concept must integrate not only bioclimatic strategies, but also economic, social and cultural facets. Sustainable architecture research is either carried while the designing process takes place (the present) but is also focused on the built environment through the historical time of a place (the past). The aim of this article is to bring to the academic discussion new perspectives on sustainable architecture and debate the relationship between the architectural elements and the social and cultural aspects by taking the Tabriz Historic Bazaar Complex as case study. Infra-structures like Bazaars are geographically placed all over the world, from Turkey to Egypt, from Tajikistan to Iran. In Iranian cities, the bazaar keeps playing an important role as economic and social engine. Thus, research the main elements that keep the Bazaar of Tabriz so actively dynamic in the present will be discussed

Dynamic Stability and Analysis of SMIB system with FLC Based PSS including Load Damping Parameter Sensitivity

    Get PDF
This paper studies Dynamic Analysis and Stability of Single machine connected to infinite bus (SMIB) with power system stabilizer (PSS) in presence of Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) including load damping parameter sensitivity. Here PSS is modeled using fuzzy logic controller and the response is compared with the responses of the system in presence of conventional PI, PID controllers including load damping parameters sensitivity. In case of FLC based PSS the responses are compared different load damping parameters. Matlab-Simulink is used to test the results

Microcontroller Based Self-Regulating Devices in Enclosed Environments

    Get PDF
Recent times have witnessed developments in the integration of wireless communication and sensing, along with electronic programmable controller devices in real-time operating systems. Intelligent devices incorporate ambient intelligence into enclosed environments by compiling the information received by wireless sensors and providing necessary feedback. This paper analyses the ubiquitous devices with smart sensing technology by casting its assimilation, thereby modelling the actualization of an intelligent environment. Further, we propose a prototype environment using adept embedded system based devices

Study to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge among the adolescent boys regarding ill effects of smoking in selected Government Schools of Moga, Punjab - India

    Get PDF
Smoking prevention is an important issue and healthcare professionals, especially nurses, may have a major role in helping people to understand the consequences of smoking for their lives. A nurse is recognized as authority on health, she can educate individuals, groups and communities about ill effects of smoking. The investigator had witnessed during her posting in Vidhya Sagar Institute of Mental Health Amritsar, Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) Delhi that the adolescents are more influenced by smoking due to images of romance, success, sophisticated popularity and adventure which advertising suggests they could achieve through the consumption of cigarettes

An Integration of Genetic Algorithm and Projected Clustering for Optimization of Content Based Image Retrieval System

    Get PDF
In recent years especially in the last decade, the rapid development in computers, storage media and digital image capturing devices enable to collect a large number of digital information and store the minicomputer readable formats. The main objective of this paper is to build more generalized CBIR system which increase the searching ability and provide more accurate results. To improve the retrieval accuracy the system has taken the feedback from the user automatically. To evaluate the performance of new system, we use WANG database. The metrics used for evaluation are precision, recall and retrieval time. The performance can be evaluated by comparing some existing systems in CBIR. The performance of new system in terms of the metrics proves to good
