Use Of Antagonistic Bacteria From Spent Mushroom Compost For Controlling Damping-off Cause By Fusarium Solani In Tomato
The objective of this study was to test antagonistic bacteria for their ability to control Fusarium solani damping-off disease of tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum L.). Antagonistic bacteria were isolated from spent mushroom compost (SMC) of Pleurotus spp. for the pathogenic fungi, Fusarium solani. Thirteen species were tested for the ability to inhibit Fusarium solani by dual culture on PDA plates. Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis showed high inhibition of mycelium of Fusarium solani obtained 53.33% until 35 days and then were selected to be further tested in green house conditions. Spore suspension of Fusarium solani (108 spore/ml) were mixed with soil while tomato seeds were soaked in a cell suspension of Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis (109 cfu/ml) for 30 min before planting. The experiment used Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The percentages of seed germination and incidence of damping-off compared across 4 treatments; Fusarium solani + Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis, Fusarium solani + carbendazim (fungicide), Fusarium solani (disease control) and healthy plant control. The results showed that efficacy was not significantly different. Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis effectively controlled the damping-off on tomato by obtained 75% of germination. Whereas, use of Fusarium solani + carbendazim and healthy plant control were obtained 90% and 95%, respectively

Quaternized Cyclodextrin Grafted Chitosan Associated With High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid Nanoparticles For Cosmetics
An excellent moisturizer, hyaluronic acid (HA(, provides biocompatibility and viscoelastic properties that is extensively utilized in cosmetics. High molecular weight HA (HMW-HA, 1.2 MDa( is a typical used form, however its benefits is limited due to its large molecule. In our previous study, the association with quaternized cyclodextrin grafted chitosan (QCD-g-CS( can improve skin penetration and provide positive charge promoting skin adhesion. Thus, the purpose of this study was to produce and characterize HMW-HA associated QCD-g-CS nanoparticles for cosmetic utilization. The HMW-HA nanoparticles (0.01 HA per 1 QCD-g-CS mole ratio( was the best formula with low particles size (348.20 ± 8.67 nm(, narrow polydispersity index (0.083 ± 0.02(and positive zeta potential (16.00 ± 0.36 mV(. The association efficiency and loading efficiency were analyzed by UPLC and shown to be 82.64 ± 0.39% and 20.09 ± 0.57%, respectively. The conjugation between carboxylic moieties of HMW-HA and amide of QCD-g-CS was confirmed by FTIR. The TEM imaging showed the spherical morphology of these nanoparticles. According to cytotoxicity test, these nanoparticles (0.01 to 0.10 mg/ml( were safe in human skin fibroblasts
Knowledge’s Level Of The Child’s Farmers Against The Use Of Pesticide And The Dangers
Indonesian farmers depend on pesticide, which is deemed as their life-saver for harvests. However, unconsciously the chemicals are toxic and dangerous to the farmers' health, consumers, and the other micro-organisms. Pesticides even threaten children's health as the next generation. This study aimed to identify the level of knowledge of child's farmers against the use of pesticide and the dangers. The method of the study was cross-sectional with interview technique, located in Curut and Wedoro villages, sub-district of Penawangan, Grobogan district. The Differences Of Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) Between Overweight-obese And Normal Adolescence
Background: The state of obesity in the body lead to have chronic low-grade inflammation in the long term condition. Diet has been known as an important regulatory factor on inflammatory condition. Characteristic of individual diet according to its inflammatory properties in order to investigate the inflammatory links between obesity and diet can be assessed by dietary inflammatory index (DII). Objective: The study aimed to assess the differences of dietary inflammatory index between overweight-obese and normal adolescence. Methods: A comparative cross sectional study with 152 overweight-obese and 151 normal adolescence in Trenggalek District was involved. Inflammation contained on foods measured by dietary inflammatory index. Nutritional status of adolescence was categorized using CDC (BMI-for-Age-percentils). Result: Overweight-obese adolescence have higher median intake of several food inflammatory parameter compare with normal adolescence. There was no differences between dietary inflammatory index and nutritional status (p>0.05). Conclusion: However, a pro inflammatory diet (the higher dietary inflammatory index score) was found among overweight and obese adolescence. Inversely, anti inflammatory diet (the lower dietary inflammatory index score) was associated with normal adolescence
Non Mainstreming Responses To The Indonesia Ahmadiyya Community In The Construction Of Inclusive Interaction
This article elaborates unusual responses indicated by the Indonesian Ahmadiyah community in the inclusive interaction structure based on different thoughts (madhhab). This reality was explored on the basis of interactions among Indonesian Ahmadiyah congregation (JAI), Muhammadiyah activists, and Nahdhotul Ulama in Bandung city. The choice of dialogue (tabayyun) was used in the case of dissent. Differences are not judged as a part of the conflict, because they are interpreted as part of reality or necessity (sunatullah). The intended action, thus, is tolerating and respecting one another as the manifestation of civilized characters. Based on the communal segmentation involved in the inclusive interaction structure, the interaction among these three groups run very effectively as long as it did not intersect with the aspects of fundamental beliefs (aqeedah), except in the communal segmentation of those having the “burhani” and “irfani” characters. The growth of inclusive interaction in conflicting communities needs to prioritize the aspects of fiqiyah and muamalah for those of “bayani” people, the limited aspects of aqeedah, fiqiyah, and muamalah for those of “burhani” people, and the intrinsic aspects of aqeedah, fiqiyah, and muamalah for those of “irfani” people
