Environmental Risk Factors that Influence Malaria Incidence: Literature Review
Background: Malaria is an infectious disease that continues to pose a global health threat. Malaria cases will reach 247 million in 2021, with malaria accounting for an estimated 619,000 fatalities worldwide. Indonesia is the second largest provider of malaria cases in the WHO South-East Asia Region, trailing only India. In 2020, Indonesia contributed 254,050 positive cases of malaria. In 2021, the number of cases has risen to 304,607.
Objective: The goal of this research is to determine the factors of the physical condition of the house (including the use of wire mesh for ventilation, the presence of ceilings, and the density of walls) and the environment around the house (including the presence of bushes, puddles of water, and livestock pens) that influence the incidence of malaria.
Method: This research is a literature review that use the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) technique. The literature search was carried out on the internet using Google Scholar. Out of the search results, 11 articles were chosen for review.
Results: The results of this study indicate that the use of wire mesh for ventilation, the presence of ceilings, the density of walls, the presence of bushes, the presence of standing water, and the presence of livestock pens in the environment surrounding the house are risk factors that influence the incidence of malaria.
Conclusion: The physical condition of the house and the quality of the surrounding environment are both important factors to consider in malaria prevention measures
Workload Indicator Staffing Need (WISN) as A Method for Analyzing Clinic Health Personnel Needs in Surakarta
Introduction: Health Human Resources (HR) has an important role in providing health services to the community. HR management has a positive effect on organizational performance. Lack of health human resources is an important obstacle in achieving the highest level of health and as a result will limit opportunities to achieve comprehensive health goals. Health workforce planning is an important element in health service planning in building a responsive and efficient health service system. The use of workforce planning methods can contribute to the analysis and decision-making process for allocating the right number of professionals. WISN as a workload-based method can provide more accurate staff needs. This method has been used in various countries and has proven its significance in policy making regarding recruitment, distribution, training and reduction of human resources.
Objective: This research aims to analyze the need for health workers at the Surakarta City Clinic using the WISN method.
Method: This type of research is descriptive qualitative using interview methods with respondents and observation. The research was conducted at the 'Aisyiyah Medical Center Surakarta Clinic. The data was processed using qualitative data analysis and simple statistical techniques.
Result: The research results showed that the need for health workers at the AMC Clinic based on the WISN method was 1 Dentist, 2 General Practitioners, 2 Nurses, 2 Midwives and 1 Pharmacy Personnel, this shows that the Clinic has an excess number of General Practitioner health workers but a shortage of Nurses.
Conclusion: The workload of General Practitioners and Dentists is low, the workload of Midwives and Pharmacy Personnel is normal, and the workload of Nurses is high
Analysis of the Relationship between the Use of Hypertension Services in Achieving Minimum Service Standards (SPM) in the Community on Barrang Caddi Island
Introduction: Based on Makassar City health profile data in 2021, there are still several health service and management criteria that have not achieved the SPM targets for Health Sector or SDG's. At the Barrang Lompoa Community Health Center, the SPM achievement related to patients receiving health services who suffer from hypertension in 2021 is 46.2%. This achievement still does not meet the target that has been set, namely 100%.
Objective: To find out the factors that influence the use of hypertension services in the community at Pustu Barrang Caddi in 2024.
Methode: The type of research used is Cross Sectional Study. This research was conducted on Barrang Caddi Island, Makassar City in March - April 2024. The population in this study was 351 households. The sample in this study was part of the population on Barrang Caddi Island, that is 188 households.
Result: The results of data analysis include univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate chi-square test. Data analysis was carried out bivariately using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 5% (?=0.05). The influence of age (p=0.890), education (p=0.980), employment (p=1.000), and access (p=0.577), from Chi-Square results found a relationship between factors on the utilization of hypertension services at Pustu Barrang Caddi in 2024
Factors Associated with the Presence of E.coli in Food: Literature Review
Background: Escherichia coli is a gram-negative bacterium of normal flora of the human and animal digestive tracts, and is important in human digestion. These bacteria can live in the stool, and can cause health problems, such as: diarrhea, vomiting, and other digestive problems. E coli bacteria can be pathogenic if the number of bacteria in the digestive tract increases or is outside the intestine. Food Sanitation Efforts include supervision, protection, and improvement of hygiene and sanitation quality specifically for Ready-to-Eat Processed Foods. Food hygiene and sanitation quality supervision is carried out through: surveillance, laboratory tests, risk analysis, and/or follow-up recommendations. Protection of food hygiene and sanitation quality is carried out through: communication, information, and education; health checks of food handlers; use of personal protective equipment; and/or the development of appropriate technology. Improving the quality of food hygiene and sanitation is carried out through: communication, information, and education; and/or food processing technology engineering
Objective: The purpose of this literature review is to find out the factors related to the presence of E.coli in food
Method: The research method used is a literature study with a search method in a literature review, which searches for literature that is in accordance with relevant social media such as google scholar, garuda, e-journal in the field of diarrhea incidence. Search the literature as a reference from 2014-2024 and get 10 articles or journals that are relevant in the last 10 years.
Results: The results of this literature review explain that factors related to the presence of e.coli in food in public places include: personal hygiene of food handlers, how to wash cutlery, PPE of food handlers are not paid attention to, poor food sanitation, food handlers do not pay attention to controlling environmental conditions from the handling of raw materials to the distribution process, the storage place of cutlery is not considered, and improper serving of food.
Conclusion: The conclusion of this literature review article is that there are many factors related to the presence of e.coli in food in public places. And recommend to environmental health workers the need to socialize and supervise the hygiene and sanitation of traders in particular. To the general public to pay attention to the cleanliness of what will be consumed
Factors Affecting the Occurrence of Medication Error (ME) in Hospital Pediatrics Unit: Literature Review
Introduction: Medication errors do not only occur in adult patients, but can also occur in pediatric patients. Systematic preventive measures are needed to prevent the occurrence of Medication errors in children. This is because pediatric patients have a weaker body than adult patients so that the negative impact of Medication errors will also have a greater effect on pediatric patients than on adult patients. Therefore, it is necessary to identify what factors can lead to the occurrence of Medication errors so that organizational leaders or related parties can determine what intervention actions can be taken to prevent the adverse effects of Medication errors for pediatric patients in hospitals.
Objective: The aim of this literature review is to analyze and determine what factors influence the occurrence of medication errors in hospitals, especially in the pediatrics unit.
Method: Article searches were conducted through several databases including PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar using the keywords "Factor" AND "Medication errors" AND "Pediatrics" AND "Hospital". The total number of articles found was 259 articles, but only 14 articles were relevant to the topic raised.
Result: The study was conducted in 24 hospitals in thirteen countries where each of these hospital has several factors that can cause medication errors in pediatric services with the most common factor being the lack of adherence of health workers to procedures or guidelines for drug administration to patients.
Conclusion: Medication errors that occur in hospital pediatric services are influenced by 3 factors, namely health human resource factors, patient family factors, and environmental factors
Overview of Personal Hygiene and Environmental Sanitation in Shared Living with Scabies: Literature Review
Introduction: Scabies is a disease caused by Sracoptes scabiei which is in the form of itching all over the body. This disease tends to occur in places with a fairly low Human Development Index and is one of the diseases that is still ignored in developing countries such as Indonesia. Scabies disease in Indonesia has a fairly high prevalence. This disease is closely related to personal hygiene and environmental sanitation in a person's residence. This disease is easier to spread when an individual's space is small and lives in the same place
Objective: This study aims to provide information related to sanitary and personal hygine features with scabies disease in shared residences to minimize the prevalence of scabies disease
Method: This study uses the method of reviewing literature on journal articles published within the last five years related to the topic of discussion. Data retrieval techniques using Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Scopus. Then, in the corresponding article eliminated is carried out.
Result: Four different articles on shared residences namely orphanages, detention centers, foundations, and Islamic boarding schools have a poor sanitation and personal hygiene at high risk of scabies. These four residences have the same characteristics, namely co-living with limited personal space. The manager and those who live in a shared residence must have awareness in maintaining environmental sanitation and know the importance of personal hygiene.
Conclusion: This study recommends to stakeholders, health care providers, and other parties to follow up on scabies prevention efforts. Moreover, for places that providing shared living needs to watch over the sanitation and personal hygiene from its environment and people who lived in the neighborhood
The Influence of Giant Snakes Ladders Game "UTANG SASA" on the Knowledge and Attitude of Fruit and Vegetables Consumption of Children at Sidorahayu State Elementary School 2, Wagir, Malang
Introduction: The giant ladder snake game is an educational and attractive game that can be used to influence the knowledge and attitudes of schoolchildren in the consumption of fruit and vegetables.
Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of the game Giant Ladder Snake on children in SDN 2 Sidorahayu on knowledge and attitudes about eating fruit and vegetables.
Method: The study uses a pre-experimental design of a group pre-test-posttest carried out in February 2024 on 33 SDN 2 Sidorahayu, Wagir students. This education was conducted for two weeks with interventions once a week. The data collected is characteristic data, knowledge, and attitudes measured using a questionnaire. Data analysis is univariate and bivariate. Bivariate analysis using paired t-test or Wilcoxon sign rank test with ?=0,05
Result: The results of the study obtained a difference in knowledge after education with an average score of almost 85,76 compared to before education a small part 40,61. Whereas for the value of attitude, there is a difference in attitudes after giving education with the average score of mostly 65,76 before education mostly 57,82.The obtained probability value p-value 0,000 < 0.05 indicates that H1 accepted means there is an influence of the media game snake giant ladder on the knowledge and attitude of consumption fruit and vegetables at SDN 2 Sidorahayu, Wagir.
Conclusion: Consequently, it can be said that the game Giant Ladder Snake has a media influence on students at SDN 2 Sidorahayu, Wagir, on their knowledge and attitudes toward the eating of fruits and vegetables.
 
Factors Contributing to the Successful Implementation of an OHS Management System in the Informal/SME Sector
The informal sector/SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) play a significant role in Indonesia's economy. However, this sector often faces various occupational safety and health (OSH) risks. An OSH management system can help SMEs manage OSH risks and improve their business performance. This study aims to examine the factors that contribute to the successful implementation of occupational safety and health (OSH) management systems in the informal sector/SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). The study employs a systematic literature review methodology following PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis). The study was conducted in April 2024, searching for relevant articles from reputable sources such as Google Scholar, ProQuest, and ScienceDirect. The review encompassed 16 relevant articles and revealed that the factors contributing to the successful implementation of OSH programs can be categorized into two main factors: external and internal factors. External factors play a crucial role in enabling the successful implementation of OSH management systems in the informal sector/SMEs. These factors encompass the supportive roles of government, the private sector, and various organizations. This study on successful OSH management system implementation in the informal sector/SMEs highlights key factors for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers. Policymakers can support implementation through financial aid and clear regulations. Practitioners should consider these factors when assisting SMEs, tailoring strategies for each business. Factors Related to Early Menarche in Adolescent Girls at Muhammadiyah 4 Junior High School East Jakarta
Introduction: The age of menarche varies from the age range of 10-16 years and is said to be normal if it occurs at the age of 12-14 years. Nationally, the average menarche aged 13-14 years occurs in 37.5% of girls in Indonesia, with the prevalence of early menarche reaching 20.9%. Statistical results in Indonesia show that the age of menarche has decreased from an average age of 14 years to 12-13 years.
Objective: This research aims to see what factors are associated with adolescent girls’ early menarche.
Method: This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design. The research design in this study is analytical observational. The sample in this study was 56 respondents.
Result: There is no statistically significant relationship but there is a substantial relationship between the frequency of consumption of junk food with age of menarche (p-value=1.000 and OR=1.104), physical activity with age of menarche (p-value=0.759 and OR=1.609), sleep rest with adolescent girls’ early menarche (p-value=0.958 and OR=1.224), and mothers’ menarche age with adolescent girls’ early menarche (p-value=0.867 and OR=1.389).
Conclusion: There is no statistically significant relationship but there is a substantial relationship between the frequency of consumption of junk food, physical activity, sleep rest, and mothers’ menarche age with adolescent girls’ early menarche. Adolescent girls are expected to maintain good consumption patterns and avoid excessive consumption of junk food, carry out regular and not too-heavy physical activity, and have adequate sleep rest time at night so that they can avoid early menarche and the risk of various diseases in the future
The Effect of Health Education Through Animated Videos on Preventive Knowledge and Attitudes Obesity in Adolescents of SMPN 8 Malang
Introduction: In Indonesia, obesity is becoming a growing health problem. Not only do many cases of obesity or overnutrition occur in adulthood, but it also often occurs in adolescence. through the use of visually appealing, easily available, and youth-specific media - specifically animated videos - to promote health and prevent obesity. Animated images are a series of still photographs displayed at a specific time to give the impression that the images are moving. In other words, animation is the movement of objects to give a more dynamic and captivating appearance. The use of animated features on instructional videos can grab the attention of the audience and encourage more thought-provoking questions from them, which will reduce their cognitive load.
Objective: This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of health education using animated videos on increasing knowledge and attitudes towards obesity prevention in adolescents at SMPN 8 Malang. By evaluating the impact of animated video interventions, the research seeks to provide insights into the effectiveness of multimedia educational tools in enhancing students' understanding and fostering positive attitudes towards maintaining a healthy weight and preventing obesity.
Methode: The type of research used was quantitative research with one group pre-post design with a sample of 31 adolescents. Knowledge data collection techniques used a questionnaire and attitude data collection using a checklist sheet. Knowledge of adolescents before education through animated videos found that most (52%) adolescents had sufficient knowledge.
Result: After education through animated videos, it was found that almost all (93.5%) adolescents had good knowledge. The attitude of adolescents before education through animated videos was found that most (71%) adolescents had a negative attitude. After being given education, most (61%) adolescents have a positive attitude. The results of the Wilcoxon test knowledge obtained a significant value of p-value 0.000 < ? (0.05) and attitude obtained a significance value of p-value 0.000 < ? (0.05) this shows that there is an effect of education using animated videos on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about obesity prevention.
Conclussion: This study proves that there is an effect of education through animated videos on the knowledge and attitudes of obesity prevention in adolescents at SMPN 8 Malang. at SMPN 8 Malang animated video media can be one of the media in increasing the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents SMPN 8 Malang in obesity prevention
