Research on the Use of ICT in Classroom Teaching by Trainee Educators -An Analysis Focusing on the Readiness of Trainee Educators-

    Get PDF
This study examined university students' ICT readiness, classroom implementation readiness, and their use of ICT in educational practice. Additionally, we explored whether the relationship with the supervising teacher and the school culture during educational practice influenced the use of ICT in the classroom. The results indicated that many trainees rated their ICT readiness highly. However, a relatively large number lacked confidence in their skills with spreadsheets and presentation software. The study did not clarify a specific relationship between readiness and satisfaction with ICT-enhanced teaching. No significant relationship was found between the trainees' relationship with their supervising teacher, school culture, and classroom satisfaction. However, the study identified specific difficulties students faced in using ICT in the classroom. Based on these findings, we discussed future guidance for students in teacher training, particularly regarding the integration of ICT into classroom instruction.departmental bulletin pape

From “Roam Idly” to “Dream Awakening” : The Pursuit of Knowledge in the Inner Chapters of Zhuangzi and Natsume Soseki's Kusamakura

    Get PDF
Natsume Sōseki’s novella Kusamakura draws deeply on Eastern thought, particularly Daoist philosophy, to construct an aesthetic world centered on the concept of "unhuman detachment." This paper examines the relationship between the aesthetic of "unhuman detachment" in Kusamakura and the concept of "knowledge" in Zhuangzi’s philosophy, aiming to uncover the shared philosophical foundations underlying both works. Employing a source-critical approach, the study compares Kusamakura and the Inner Chapters of Zhuangzi within their respective contexts. By analyzing key Daoist concepts such as "wandering freely," "forgetfulness," "transformation of things," and "dream awakening," the paper explores the protagonist’s inner journey and spiritual development, shedding light on the philosophical resonance between Sōseki’s and Zhuangzi’s ideas. The findings reveal a profound connection between the protagonist’s aesthetic sensibility and Zhuangzi’s notions of "the usefulness of uselessness" and "knowing without knowing," offering fresh insights into the intersection of Sōseki’s literary work and classical Chinese philosophy.departmental bulletin pape

The learning contents of the student trainer in the internship to the professional sports team and educational effect

    Get PDF
This study aims to clarify the impact of internships with professional sports teams on students aspiring to become athletic trainers, from the perspectives of learning content and educational effectiveness. The results revealed that observing and experiencing “the specialized activities of trainers,” “the capabilities of trainers,” and “organizational operations such as information sharing and collaboration required to perform duties” led to “increased motivation toward the trainer profession,” “clarification of interests, goals, and self-awareness of personality and abilities,” “enhanced student confidence and positive attitude,” and other “internal changes in students,” as well as a sense of “fulfillment in the trainer profession.” Therefore, internships at top-level sports teams were found to offer opportunities to learn not only technical skills but also non-technical skills related to trainers, such as specialized knowledge and skills, organizational management between coaches and medical staff, and other aspects of the profession. Furthermore, it was suggested that such internships could deepen students' understanding of the profession, enhance self-awareness through assessing suitability and clarifying goals, and lead to educational effects such as increased motivation toward the trainer profession, improved motivation, and changes in confidence.departmental bulletin pape

(2025), this study aims to conduct a survey of students (entering in 2025) in teacher training departments at two universities regarding their motivations for applying and the images of a teacher, and to clarify their characteristics. The survey results showed that the main goal of both students in the two departments was to obtain qualifications and licenses, and that obtaining an elementary school teaching license was a common goal. Regarding their desire to become a teacher, they shared the fact that they were heavily influenced by their relatives and family, but there were differences in the influence of teachers. The images of a teacher that students wanted to become in the future was characterized by "compassion" and "trust," and they were expected to learn professional knowledge and practical teaching skills as well as volunteer activities. In the future, continued research is required on the impact of the courses and volunteer activities of both departments on the image of a teacher.departmental bulletin pape

Analysis of Basic Japanese Composition Teaching Methods for Chinese University Learners of Japanese

    Get PDF
This study investigates the challenges in writing proficiency faced by Chinese undergraduate students majoring in Japanese at the foundational level, with a focus on negative language transfer. Through concrete examples, it identifies key issues such as difficulties in transitioning from Chinese to Japanese, frequent particle misuse, and culturally influenced unnatural expressions. The root causes are analyzed as: an overreliance on literal translation, insufficient mastery of Japanese syntactic structures, and limited awareness of Japanese cultural norms, particularly implicit communication styles. To address these challenges, the study proposes pedagogical improvements advocating a shift from an exclusive emphasis on grammatical accuracy to an integrated approach that incorporates Japanese cognitive-logical patterns and compositional strategies. Furthermore, aligning with China’s Guidelines for Undergraduate Teaching of Foreign Language and Literature Majors, it offers actionable recommendations to cultivate interdisciplinary competencies̶balancing linguistic precision with sociocultural adaptability. By bridging the gap between theoretical instruction and practical communicative competence, this research contributes actionable insights for advancing Japanese language education in China.departmental bulletin pape
