Amsalul Qur’an, or Qur’anic parables, represent a unique rhetorical form in the Qur’an that conveys deep symbolic meanings aimed at delivering moral and spiritual messages in a persuasive and emotionally resonant way. The complexity of meaning within Qur’anic parables demands interpretive approaches that are not only textual but also contextual and multidisciplinary. This research is motivated by the need for an Islamic educational model that is more communicative and reflective of contemporary societal conditions. The aim of this study is to identify the strategic role of Amsalul Qur’an in conveying Islamic educational values and to evaluate its implications for meaningful learning processes. The study employs a qualitative approach with content analysis of parabolic verses in the Qur’an, along with a review of tafsir literature, Islamic education theories, and educational communication frameworks. The findings reveal that Amsalul Qur’an functions as an effective narrative bridge in internalizing the values of monotheism, justice, patience, and social responsibility. The study recommends integrating the amsal approach into Islamic education methodologies to foster more reflective, dialogical, and transformative learning experiences. Thus, Amsalul Qur’an holds strategic potential as an instrument in character building and the strengthening of students’ spirituality in the modern era

Analysis of the Meaning of Joy (Al-Farh) According to the Al-Qur'an Perspective of Tafsir Al Munir

Joy (Al-Farh) in the Koran has various meanings, which can include temporary worldly joy or eternal spiritual joy. In the perspective of al-Munir's tafsir, the word farh is understood as a form of feeling happy or joyful which is often related to worldly or spiritual circumstances. Tafsir al-Munir presents an in-depth analysis of the difference between temporary and eternal joy, emphasizing that joy derived from worldly achievements, such as wealth, power, or pleasure, is often deceptive and leads to arrogance and negligence towards the afterlife. For example, the story of Qarun in Surah Al-Qasas (28) verse 76 illustrates how worldly joy can be misleading if accompanied by arrogance. On the contrary, this tafsir highlights the joy that comes from piety and obedience to Allah as true happiness that not only brings peace in worldly life, but also guarantees eternal happiness in the afterlife. In al-Munir's tafsir, true joy is measured by the depth of a person's faith and relationship with Allah, which leads to a nobler purpose in life. Therefore, this tafsir reminds Muslims not to be trapped in temporary worldly joy, but rather to pursue eternal joy through devotion to Allah. True joy is that which gives peace of mind and leads to eternal happiness in heaven, not temporary and misleading

Beauty Privilege Perspective Study of Surah Ar-Rum Verse 21 and An-Nisa Verse 1

The phenomenon of beauty privilege that prioritizes physical appearance as a standard of social acceptance has created gender inequality and psychological pressure, especially for Muslim women in the digital era. Popular culture and social media reinforce visual dominance that places physical beauty above spiritual and intellectual values. In this context, there is a need to review the meaning of beauty in Islam and how the values of piety can be used as a counter-narrative to modern beauty ideology. This study aims to review the concept of privileged beauty from the perspective of the Qur'an using the maudhū'i interpretation approach and critical discourse analysis model of Norman Fairclough. The main data sources consist of verses of QS. Al-Hujurat: 13, QS. An-Nisa: 1, and QS. Ar-Rum: 21–22, accompanied by hadith and interpretations from classical scholars (Ath-Ṭabarī, Ibnu Kathīr) and contemporary (Quraish Shihab, Buya Hamka). This study also involves modern Islamic and sociological literature to understand the socio-cultural dynamics of beauty and identity of Muslim women. The results of the study indicate that piety in the Qur'an is a form of spiritual privilege that is superior to physical beauty. The concepts of qanitat and ḥāfiẓāt lil-ghayb underline the character of faithful women who maintain their honor, obey Allah, and are active in social life. Piety becomes a form of resistance to beauty capitalism and a tool for liberating women's identity from visual pressure. Qur'anic values offer relevant educational and advocacy strategies in building an authentic and empowered Muslim identity in the digital era. This study contributes to the discourse of gender and Islam, by emphasizing that piety is the ultimate beauty privilege in the Islamic paradigm
