Decision Making and Planning in Islamic Educational Leadership
Get PDFDecision making and planning play a strategic role in determining the direction and quality of leadership in all educational institutions, including the Islamic ones. This article analyzes the importance of decision-making and planning as two key components in Islamic educational leadership. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach using a literature study method. Data was collected from various related, relevant, and upto date literatures, including journals and books published in the last ten years. The results of this study indicate that effective decision-making and planning support educational leaders to make priorities and choose the best alternatives in solving problems and improving the quality of education policies and programs. Effective decision making and careful planning provide educational leaders with a strategic framework and structured steps to achieve educational goals. The relationship between effective decision making and careful planning with the achievement of the goal is very important. Good planning guides decision-making, and the right decisions ensure optimal planning. By understanding this concept, educational leaders can create a conducive learning environment and continuously improve the quality of education

The purpose of this study is to determine the economic policy or fiscal policy implemented by Abu Bakar as Sidiq during his caliphate. This study uses qualitative research with a literature review approach. The fiscal policy implemented during the Caliphate of Abu Bakar was to emphasize the zakat instrument as state revenue which was then stored in the Baitul Mal, and then distributed to Muslims. The zakat collection policy implemented by Caliph Abu Bakar had a significant influence on the economic stability of Muslims. Islamic Education Institute for Children of Madurese Migrant Workers in Malaysia
Get PDFThis article examines the existence and role of Islamic educational institutions for the children of migrant workers from Madura in Malaysia. The phenomenon of labour migration from Indonesia to Malaysia has created a need for adequate education for the children of migrant workers, especially in the context of Islamic education which is an integral part of their cultural identity. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving in-depth interviews and field observations in several Madurese communities in Malaysia. The research results show that there are various Islamic educational institutions that serve the children of Madurese migrant workers, ranging from formal institutions such as the Kota Kinabalu Indonesian School (SIKK) and the Kuala Lumpur Indonesian School (SIKL), to non-formal institutions such as the Indonesian Education Center (PPI) and Madurese Learning Community (KBM). Apart from that, there are also informal educational initiatives such as home recitations and study programs at mosques or surau. While these institutions play a key role in defending Islamic values and Madurese culture, they face various challenges such as resource constraints, legality issues, and the need to balance religious education with the demands of general education. This article also explores the adaptation strategies implemented by these institutions, including the use of technology for distance education and cooperation with local authorities. In conclusion, the existence of Islamic educational institutions for the children of Madurese migrant workers in Malaysia has deep significance, not only in the context of religious education, but also as a means of cultural preservation and preparation for reintegration into Indonesia. This research recommends increased support from the governments of Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as closer cooperation between various stakeholders to strengthen and develop these Islamic educational institutions

Get PDFThe assessment of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material that is a common problem in it is the use of monotonous assessments. Because the tools used are rote systems such as memorizing short letters, the names of the prophets, and so on. The lack of varied models of PAI questions, makes students accustomed to certain questions and not trained in critical thinking. Likewise, the process of creating questions and revising PAI evaluations has not optimally involved teachers, so the quality of the questions is less guaranteed. Based on the background above, this paper will discuss what evaluation principles should be applied to Religious Education materials at the elementary school level? What are the criteria for effective and efficient tests for PAI materials in elementary schools? And what is the method of analyzing PAI test items for elementary schools? And the objectives of this study are to determine the evaluation principles that must be applied to PAI materials at the elementary school level, to determine the criteria for effective and efficient tests for PAI materials in elementary schools, and to determine the method of analyzing PAI test items for elementary schools. This study uses a literature review method with a qualitative approach. Literature Review is an activity that focuses on a particular topic that is interesting to analyze in depth and critically against the content of the text being studied. The results of this study state that the concept of good evaluation consists of the principles of continuity, comprehensiveness, fairness and objectivity, using criteria references, the principle of integration, while evaluation of cognitive aspects at the elementary school level uses a formative approach, diverse instruments, context considerations, involving students in the evaluation process, developing clear assessment rubrics, involving parents, providing feedback, using technology, reviewing, continuity and improvement. With examples of essay tests, multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, matching, and true-false tests. The affective domain and using observation techniques and the psychomotor domain with the formulation of indicators with operational verbs. And to produce good data analysis, namely with reliability, validity, discriminatory power, and level of difficulty
Psychological Factors Influencing Teacher Job Satisfaction: A Case Study at Persatuan Islam 40 Sarongge Islamic Boarding School
Get PDFThis study aims to explore the influence of psychological factors on teachers' job satisfaction at Pesantren Persatuan Islam 40 Sarongge. The background of this study focuses on the importance of teachers' roles in education and how their psychological conditions can affect job satisfaction. This research identifies the challenges teachers face, including a lack of motivation and support in the work environment, as well as the impact of technological changes on the teaching methods they use. The method used was a quantitative approach with data collection through a survey involving teachers in the pesantren. The data obtained were analyzed using statistical techniques to determine the relationship between psychological factors and job satisfaction. The results showed that there was a significant influence of psychological factors, such as intrinsic motivation and environmental support, on teachers' job satisfaction. Teachers who are highly motivated and feel supported tend to be more satisfied with their jobs. The findings emphasize the importance of creating a supportive work environment to increase teacher job satisfaction in educational institutions
Nganyareh Kabin Practices in Jukong Village: A Phenomenological Theory Perspective from Alfred Schutz (Case Study in Jukong Village, Labang District, Bangkalan Regency)
Get PDFThis study analyzes the practice of Nganyareh Kabin a local term in Jukong Village, Labang District, Bangkalan Regency, for the renewal of a marriage contract, or Tajdid an-Nikah performed by married couples in a legally valid marriage. This study uses a qualitative approach with Alfred Schutz's Phenomenological theoretical framework to understand the subjective meaning of this social act from the perspective of the participants. In practice, Nganyareh Kabin is conducted very simply, privately, and secretly, without a wedding reception or crowd, attended only by the husband, wife, guardian, witnesses, and religious figures (kiai or modin). Despite its private nature, this process ensures the fulfillment of all the pillars and requirements of Islamic law, emphasizing the couple's careful attitude (ihtiyath) to ensure the legitimacy of their renewed bond.
The main findings indicate that the participants' motivations are divided into two phenomenological dimensions: the "because motive" and the "in-order-to" motive. Motives stem from past experiences, such as fear of pronouncing divorce due to a major argument, lack of harmony, or financial hardship. Meanwhile, the motives stem from hopes for the future, namely to obtain blessings, recreate a family that is peaceful, loving, and compassionate, ensure a smooth flow of sustenance, and strive for offspring. From Schutz's Phenomenology perspective, Nganyareh Kabin is legitimized by a collective stock of knowledge and intersubjectively accepted within the lifeworld of the Jukong community. This practice serves as a social and spiritual adaptive mechanism that provides inner peace, is recognized by custom (‘urf sahih) and provides benefits (Maslahah Mursalah), despite being outside the framework of positive state law
